US Search review: Recurring monthly charge

Don't think I used their services but started getting a charge for $19.99 per month. Tried to block charging thru Bank of America twice and US Search was still able to charge my account. Called US Search and since I didn't have an account they said they couldn't look up my account. I got more assertive and, sure enough, they found my account and canceled it. They also told me they would refund 12 months of charges if my bank would open the closed account and call US Search. Bank of America said they won't contact merchants. Called US Search back and they said they don't have any other way to credit me. Of course they don't. They know that they can charge against a card that's been canceled but cannot credit it back. And won't send a check or credit a different account.
