Unlock Phone Sim charged me $28.80 CAD initially, but then one day after they asked for $191 to complete my order. They used pre-order and prepayment to trick me without explaining this clearly on their main page.

To encourage me to pay and get my money illegally, they tricked me by offering a discount of 20% by email on $36. Then they made a clear fraud and scam to get $191 more from me to complete the service by retaining my payment. They never explained in our correspondence by email via their support center that this is a prepayment and I have to pay more to get the service.

When I requested a refund, they refused. I consider this a clear fraud and scam. They violated the law by asking to charge hidden fees while offering service for a fixed price that they have posted on their web page. Companies who are charging hidden fees may be violating some federal and state consumer protection laws. Under several state laws around the country, consumers have the ability to recover damages if they believe the fees they were charged were deceptive or fraudulent in nature.

Referring to Canadian legislation, this contains criminal and civil sections that prohibit false or misleading representations and deceptive marketing practices. Unlock Phone Sim is a dangerous company making illegal benefits by tricking consumers. I urge everyone to stay away from them and report any incidents to protect others.

I have requested and paid for my phone to be unlocked, these charges have already come out of my account and no phone unlock has happened and you are now asking for an additional £55 to carry on unlock. I have contacted my bank who have put a block on funds being taken as I have been unable to speak with any of your team over the phone. I want my money refunded back into my account (even though you say this not what you do), Vodafone have also not condoned this so called service to provide. My bank are waiting for a call back from me so to make an investigation on this site. See attached your so called support.
