A residential lease facilitated by Univest Property Group (Pty) Ltd was cancelled lawfully during the statutory cooling‑off period, prior to occupation of the property.
Despite this, an upfront payment totaling R66,500 (rent and deposits), paid on 4 March 2026, has not been refunded.
The matter is currently being addressed through the appropriate statutory channels.

Did you eventually receive your refund? We are unfortunately experiencing a very similar situation. An amount of R197,950 was paid to Keri in relation to a lease agreement, however the lease was cancelled before we could move into the property. Since then, we have received multiple explanations regarding the funds allegedly being held in trust, but to date no refund has been processed.
We are trying to understand whether others have experienced the same issue and whether any refunds were ultimately received.
