Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.

This happened to me. I ordered a free 30-day supply of that Green Tea. All I paid was for shipping, $4.95. I had no intention of ordering anymore, no intention of signing up for more, or anything of the sort. Then, two weeks later the company debited my checking account for $69.87 without my permission! In other words, they stole my money. It is a scam and a rip-off. Also, I tried the tea one morning and one morning only. I threw it out! It made me jittery, nervous, and my heart was beating so fast that I felt like I was having heart palpatations. It scared me! I decided since I didn't pay for anything but the shipping and wasn't going to buy anymore, that I could just throw it away. That stuff made me feel awful! I've lost 50lbs. by eating right and exercising and need to lose about 25-30 more pounds. I decided I could continue doing it the right and only right way, by eating right and exercising. No miracle diet teas for me! Too dangerous! I have filed a complaint with my bank and they will be filing fraud charges against Ultra Green Tea.

I also placed an order for a sample pack. I never received the sample but was charged 46.95 on my credit card, then the following two months I was charged $64.97. I complained nad was told by Ultra Green because I had not cancelled I was charged this (no product arrived). I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge but just found out today that UltraGreen say I ordered it. I don't have a cancellation number and my credit card will not stop the monthly payment! I now have to cancel my credit card!

ULTRA LEAN GREEN IS A SCAM!
I'm on the phone with them right now disputing the $69.87 I was charged for a pack of tea that arrived almost a week and a half into my 14 day trial. I didn't even see the two week trial cancellation information. How deceiving! The woman I'm speaking to right now says that they can only refund each account only once, which makes no sense. I asked to speak to a manager, and they transferred me to a voicemail box that was FULL! So I couldn't even contact a manager. I called back again, and the same thing happened. I'm so frustrated with this tea that doesn't even work!

I to was scammed! They charged my credit card almost $70 after I told them I did not want to continue the products automatic shipments. Then when I called they told me they weren't sure who I spoke to but they never cancelled me. Sure...I bet they didn't! Thanks to this site, I checked my statements b/c I normally don't even check unless it's a ridiculous difference noticed in my balance! So this site was a big help and I was able to file a dispute and flag this company w/ my CC company!
Ultra Lean Green Tea should not do this to people! I actually enjoyed the product and was considering re-ordering, which is why I was browsing the site trying to figure out how to order more shipments, until this happened. I'm afraid now to order anything, as they may charge ridiculous amounts on my account! I do not like automatic shipments and charges. This company should try a different approach than scamming people into buying their product. Not cool at all!

I fell for this free trial thing like most of you did. I think that I got things cleared up with them. I authorized payment of $4.95or shipping, ok fine. But since then their has been 2 charges to my bank acct in the amt of $69.87! I asked them FOR WHAT! I have never recieved any product from them! The gal that took my call was a little snot, so it was easy to be snotty back to her. She made me so mad, to the point I asked to speak to her supervisor NOW! She put me on hold, she came back on the line and informed me that my account has been cancelled, and they will be crediting my bank acct for two charges of $69.87! She said that it should post in the next 3-5 business days, I informed her that I will be checking my bank acct daily until it posts and if it doesn't, I will be calling them until it does! I hate getting mean with people, that's not me! But this company is ripping people like you and me off! Rachel Ray Oprah, and others that have endorsed this product should pull their names from it.

I wish I would have read the complaints before I ordered, becausee they just got me on the same thing. For anyone else make sure if you order the trial sample that if you don't want it you have to call before the 15th day in order for them to cancel your order, otherwise they will start charging you$69. If you forget to call and they charge you, in order for them to refund you, you have to send back what you have left and they only give you a po box number so it will take at least 10 days before you see any refund. They will not refund your money unless you return the sample product you did not finish. Yes, the taste is horrific! I learned my lesson!

I ordered and got billed for shipping and an addition $39 for a powertea I knew nothing about. Then got billed for $74 two weeks later. It took two weeks to receive this ### and they will not refund me. Its been 4 weeks now and I still never got the Powertea, I called to cancel and was told to wait another two weeks. This is the largest "thiefy" company I ever came across. Watch out-product seems to work but I am so piss off to access its success.

I purchased the trial product and got three calls within a 24 hour period to confirm my order. I ordered the trial offer of Ultra Lean Green Tea on August 20/08 and the charge were posted on my cc account on August 23/08 for $6.95 which I authorized showing phone number [protected]. Then on the same day August 23/08 there was another charge for $39.25 for Power Tea [protected]. Further on September 1/08 some Savers [protected] for $1.95 charged to my cc. On September 3/08 I called and they said that if the charge was not reversed in 2 days to call back. Note that I did not realize at the time that would put me one day past the cancellation time frame. Like most people we are busy so I forgot to call again assuming it would be credited and cancelled. When I checked my statement on September 9/08 (today) they had billed my credit card again for $69.87 on September 08/[protected]. This now totals $118.02 and I have not received the initial product or any product for that matter.

I phoned again today and spoke to Jennifer who said she is going to cancel the order gave me the [protected] and said that they would take care of the refund as she is Rid jet Net (not sure on the name) who processed the cc. Then she quickly hung up. I called the number she gave me at 6.46 and someone answered at 7.11 and said Ultra Green Tea “Click”. So yes it is a rip off.

While some of the own ness was on me to keep up on this I did not expect to be ripped off this badly without the product in hand. However, over a period of three days I had paid 39.25 more than I authorized and within 15 days from that was billed $71.82 bringing the total to $118.02.

This is the first and last time that I will ever order online and that is sad as there are legitimate business people out there and because of this company will lose potential business.

Same story: Ordered on "trial" on 7/14. Indicated it could be canceled within 14 days. It wasn't received until 7/30. I called and explained the situation sternly and offered to send the bottle back. I received an apology and was told they would refund my account and I didn't need to send it back. The refund was supposed to take 3-10 business days. After ten days there was no refund on my account. I called them back on 8/15 and was assured it was "in the queue" to be refunded. I received the refund on my account on 8/19. This is definitely meant to make it difficult to return it and I think they figure most people will give up. This is NOT a good value, to state the obvious. Stick to the local nutrition store.

This company is absolutely a joke, FREE MY ### I am so pissed off right now about unauthorized payments on my credit card. I am always very leary about using my credit card online and this is a prime example of a dishonest, ridiculous company. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. This company loves to take your money without a signed or verbal agreement!

i am beyond myself. i never would have ordered this stupid product if i had known it was a scam. infuriated doesn't even begin to cover how i feel right now, i've been on hold for so long and i just keep getting angrier and angrier as each minute passes, if i didn't look this up online, i would have kept getting charged. i had been wondering where my money on my account has been going, with my being young and new with this whole thing, i'm am naive and stupid. sixteen. yeah, the dumbest thing i have ever done. i almost want to ask my mom to cancel my card, or switch all my money over to another account and cancel that one. because seriously, i do not have to time to be dealing with this crap. losing my hard earned money when i'm trying to save for a car, insurance, and all of that stuff. i'm sick of this. the biggest pain in the ###. i'm sure my mom will flip on me, and most likely take my card away from me, but at this point that is the least of my worries, and probably the best possible thing. this is so against the law, if only i could sue them for all they are worth. i don't have the time for all of this. i'm never ordering anything online again!
and thank you for the number and all of what you guys have said.

Wow, I never felt uneasy about ordering online before now. I had ordered ultra lean green tea .. i approved the 6.95 but was charged an extra 38.75? strange, with actually nothing in the mail. I found this site, and immediatly cancelled my credit card so that no charges where then being made again as seeing some still were.. I got a hold of them, told them how i was very unimpressed with their product, as well telling them that i had cancelled my credit card because other people were being charged without their authorizations as well and that i didnt want to pay for anything that i wasnt getting and perhaps wont get. They told me that my product was stuck in delivery and that i would be credited back that 38.75 with a cancelled credit card? and in 2 weeks? we will see..

ditto to all the above - I also saw this link from the Oprah site and unfortunately thought it was legit - being a link from there..

not.

the 70 hit my credit card today, I have no sample...
I did have a call from someone couple days after my order and I insisted he confirm there would be no other charge except the 6.00 for 'free trial ' - he said no problem...

I hope i can get my money back -- thanks for the update everyone.

If you used a debit card, call your bank, have then send you a new one, and activate it immediately. By doing this, your old card will be de activated. So, when this company tries to make a charge to your card, it will be declined.

1- We have to cancel it within the following 15 days after placing our order. If order it and it's sent days later and we haven't yet tried it yet, how are we suposed to know whether or not we will like it to want our money back?

2- No one ever said that if I wanted ALL my money back I had to send them they remainder of the tea.

Wow I almost got caught up in the scam for the ultra lean green tea. It sounded so great. Then I scrolled down and read all of the complaints.. Besides if it is so great why dont they sell it in health food stores. Beware of anything that apparently is so great but can only be ordered on line...

I to have been charged on my credit card and did not receive any product as of yet.

I called the number on my visa bill (there is a number beside the charge) and they said it would be removed, well it hasn't.

Is there anything we can do to stop others from getting ripped off?

I too, was scammed! If only I had done a more thorough check of this company.! I paid $37..plus dollars, and $11, .05 for postage (paid by me at the P.O. before I could collect the package) 3 days later, my Credit card was debited with $69.87, plus the $37.00. I phoned the number I had kept... was told that the $69.87 would be credited (which it was) and at that time I cancelled everything. Then this month the $69.87 was charged again.! I phoned again to be told basically "too bad", that only 1 credit was allowed, and I had to pay this amount.! He tells me, that when I last phoned, I said "I would give it a trail and phone them back, if I did not want to continue. Bull...t.! I said no such thing.! So... beware. I wish I had been.

Look, there are THOUSANDS of sites and companies like these offering ### and u only pay S&H.

Look, order the sample, pay the S&H and the next day cancel your credit card. Or go get 5 prepaid credit card with 10$ on it, order the sample 5 times, have it sent to 5 dif addresses. When they try to charge more money, well there aint none left.

Now, some place dont accept pre-paid credit cards. Try it out and thank me later ;)

I was also duped by the Oprah thing. I called immediately within 10 minutes and was told the refund would take 7 - 10 days! There was NOTHING they could do. I warned them everyone is on to them and they've been reported for ripping people off. Keep calling and harassing them - we are entitled to our refunds!

I am FURIOUS!

I would suggest using a card with only enough credit for the samples.
Sounds shady..but it worked for me. I'm kind of sneaky about things like this.
I don't want to get ripped off either so I don't give them the ability to do so.
It seems to work though..the product that is.
70.-$ is about what you'd pay in a store for similar.
It probably just puts some bad stuff in your system, but if you're like me..you'll do it just to lose some weight. Hopefully if there are side effects, they are short term.
Haven't seen any so far.
just wanted to clarify this for everyone.

Luckily I used a card that has no more available credt..so i got the samples and they cannot charge me.
It takes about a month to get the samples. I had about given up ..and then they showed up. I have been using them for 5 days and I've lost a few pounds. Honestly I have been a big skeptic about diet pills and so forth and decided to try this at last resort.
So, I cannot say I can complain so far. I have not been charged for the 70.-$ and it has been over a month.
Then again, they may have not been able to because the card will not let them :).
Sorry to see all the problems with them, but I do have more energy, feel better, my metabolism is super fast and have had not side effects. I've lost a few pounds (which I haven't been able to do for about 10 years) and feel hopeful that I'll lose 10 more soon.

I am here today checking on any other postings,
and i wanted to mention to all that when i told corey, the manager, of the postings on the internet about power tea...

because he was insisting that " that i misunder stood, and couldnt read, and that there was no small print"...

He stated that they are there because they mis understood
also...
so in my opinion, they know perfectly well what they are doing, and are refusing to return my money because it is an admission
of guilt...especially when i am and i hope other will file a complaint with the postal inspector... for using the mail to defraud people, and that is a felony...

oh by the way, my bank is helping me...
They will be shut down when the postal inspectors, get involved

i am also going to email Oprah and O magazine and thank them for there endorsement of this fraudulent company, , , ,
maybe if she looks into it, , she will mention it on her show so others will not be mugged by theses people...

Oh my goodness, yeah, I totally got a bill for $69.87 like 3 weeks after I received the "free sample".
It IS very deceiving. I'm not even sure if it's effective at all.
Are the results visible like after you're through with the can?
I agree, it must be a rip off. I Just canceled today with one of the representatives.
