I purchased a phone card from TULUMBA.com in 2008. The purchase amount was $250.00 however, they had a promotion at the time that if $250.00 was spent, the company would double it. As of May 2017, I still had a balance for $467.00. When I tried making a call, the automated system said that my balance was zero. I thought there was an error and contacted the company. I requested reinstatement of my remaining minutes or they could issue me a refund of the remaining balance. They wrote me stating that they changed their policy 2 years ago and that if the phone cards don't add an additional amount once a year, the balance becomes zero. This company never informed of this fact in any form; postal, e-mail, text. I believe that I am protected by the grandfather clause. Due to their poor record keeping, they lost my records and now they want the proof of purchase. Who keep receipts for 8 years unless it’s a mortgage? Then I contacted my bank and they said that they can only go back 7 years. So, I am not able to prove the original purchase. Via e-mails that we have exchanged they accepted fault on their side yet still refuses to reinstate my minutes or issue a refund for the original amount. If I have known that they should cheat me like that, I would have kept my receipt, better yet I would never do business with them at the first place. I am still a customer of this company with a valid pin number for the phone card. I used to make other purchases from this company and even though they advertised free shipping for purchases over $100 on their website, they always charged approximately $20.00 for shipping and I would have to always call them to fight for a refund. This is a Turkish company that doesn't want to comply or respect this country's laws. They want to run their business like they do in their own country: twisted and dishonest. I used to tell people to do business with them and now I am telling everyone NOT to do any business with them...
