Don't hire Triton HVAC - Dangerous — scammer — Falcon, Colorado — I am writing to file a complaint about Triton HVAC. They exposed us to a deadly natural gas leak left behind when they installed a replacement heating furnace in our home October 1, 2021. So much natural gas was leaked, my wife and I have residual effects of sore lungs and coughing.
Triton HVAC (Triton) gave us an annual furnace inspection. Replacing the furnace unit was scheduled. The technician, Tyler, was receiving phone calls about personal matters, The work proceeded to what seemed to be completion. They were acting hastily.
They installed a used thermostat.
They improperly installed exhaust venting and could not close the furnace area folding doors.
They improperly installed the gas line connections, causing the downstairs to begin to fill up with a very strong odor of natural gas. An explosion would have killed us. I gave Triton the option of a 911 call or immediately repairing the leak. Wayne arrived at our home late that evening, He admitted the fact that he had cross threaded the gas supply line, causing the gas leak. His only solution that night was to shut off the gas supply valve. We were without heat and we were left smelling the fumes.
We were without gas furnace heat from Friday, October 1, 2021 until Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Triton exposed my wife and me to an extremely dangerous gas leak, They have taken our money, offered no apology, nor have they suggested any adjustment in the installation cost. I still have to have the double walled exhaust vent properly installed.
We will never sleep easy. Be careful who you chose to work on your heating system.
Triton HVAC (Wayne Rainey III) still refuses to comply with Code a=by fixing the exhaust vent problem. Trying to get the State in volved.
