After paying more than twice the amount of money previously discussed and postponing the date of the move, the moving company arrived late in the day (5:00 pm) to load my 2 bedroom duplex’s furniture, after I was forced to find someone to assist in the move because my flight arrangements were for the day before. The packing and placing things in the truck included the crashing down of the tailgate lift and many this day and plastic containers being broken. The crash was heard throughout the apartment complex. This resulted in things being broken but many were and the crash was reported by serveral residents.

As advertised, they held my belongings in storage and I was forced to struggle to have them delivered within the promised month.

When the goods finally arrived, there were two 65” televisions missing, several broken tables, lamps, and containers, I imagine resulting from the crashing resounding throughout the property. The televisions were taken because no evidence of them was available. They were packed in their original boxes as they were less than 6 months old and no sign of them was found. The moving in process was just as bad but with such disrespect it was terrible. Not trusting the company I stayed for the entire process.

The boss mover was arrogant and made sexual advances and innuendos as if I were interested. He gauged that parking the van around the corner would make it cost me more when the front of the building was within easy reach with no extra cost for distance. The work was done slowly and at their whim regardless of the safeguards I was asking of them. The piece that was the most costly, a mirrored dresser, sustained damage because the mover refused to follow my directions in how to handle it and the broken mirrors somehow did not cut or injure anyone but they insisted on turning it upright on its side rather than level so mirrors were damaged on the surface and the bottom drawer on the right. In addition, there were some nesting tables, a plastic bin of shoes, and a few other small pieces of artwork that are not mine and they refused to take the show. They did take the other things. Lamps and items inside the broken boxes are not allowed as claims, notwithstanding the crashing of the tailgate lift.

The biggest challenge has been attempting to contact the Triple Crown Moving Company who have not returned any of the over 100 attempts to contact them, including a registered letter, the receipt of which has never been sent. After they had been fully paid, of course.

Can you please help me get repaid for the damages to my goods?

The manner and service of this company was not good in several ways but the complaint is to recover damages for the things broken, lost, or stolen in the process of getting my possessions delivered from door to door.

I have been attempting since December to file a complaint and I get to answer as to my numerous at least 35 calls, in attempt to file my claim in a timely manner.

The items I believe I deserve to be paid for are as follows:

1-VIZIO 65” Smart TV $770.00

1-Westinghouse 65” Smart TV $480.00

1-jewelry case mirrored $330.00

1-large, round sofa table antique $200.00

1-TV console with glass doors $650.00

2-antique beveled glass mirrors (surface for dresser) and drawer repair $350.00

3-wooden antique occasional tables $30.00, $35.00, $50.00

For a total of $2,895.00
