Dear Sir/Madam,
I requested TravelAssist for visa services for Dubai. They requested me to buy a ticket first then we will apply for a visa. Unfortunately, I was misled about the ticket information and visa on July 19 2022 and the travel agency violated our terms of agreement – based on our telephonic conversations that can be revisited and reviewed.
I live in NJ, but my family live in Islamabad, Pakistan. They had to flee because of what happened in Afghanistan. I wanted to help my brother get UAE visa and then flight ticket to attend an English class in Dubai. Unfortunately, nowadays few countries issue visa for the Afghan citizens. I specifically and repeatedly requested the travel agent to book me a ticket that can be canceled in case no visa issued. The travel agent confirmed that I cancel the ticket with 200 USD penalty. Secondly, they never applied for my brother's visa as per our agreement.

I sent the following email to them for a possible resolution.
1. Dear Mr. Rodriquez,
I am following up on this email that I sent to you, as I did not receive a response from you side. Please advise what can be done to resolve this issue.
I am again emphasizing on the points that we agreed on our telephonic conversations on July 19 2022. Our recorded conservations can be reviewed by both NY city Consumer and Work Protection, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau – I haven’t filed my case for their review and investigation yet, as I am looking for an agreeable solution.
1. As per our telephonic conversations, you confirmed that I can cancel the ticket with 200 USD penalty if no visa issued (first condition that emphasized more than one times)
2. You asked me to buy a ticket first if I want visa services from you travel agency – once I buy the ticket, you apply for visa. However, your travel agency never applied for my brother’s visa. – Now, we cannot use the ticket.
Unfortunately, I was misled about the ticket information and visa on July 19 2022 and your travel agency violated our terms of agreement – Our telephonic conversations can be revisited and reviewed. I would really appreciate if you can proceed and cancel the ticket with 200 USD penalty as we agreed on phone, and refund the remaining money.
As we have limited time to resolve this issue and the ticket is going to be expired on Aug 23 2022 which needs to be cancel before that. I would like to request for your urgent help and attention on this matter.
If you don’t cancel the ticket based on our telephonic agreement and also visa service was not provided, I will proceed and submit my formal complaint so they can review our telephonic conservations and I will let them decide on our case.
