Saturday 26 February 2022 me and my family were on our way to Mafikeng to fetch our belongings as we have moved to Rustenburg, we drive a silver Polo 1.9tdi with an empty trailer that was hooked to it, as we passed through Lichtenburg at approximately 11:30 my husband decided to pour Diesel in the car so we stopped at Total Elandsfontein petrol station. The attendant came and my husband told him please put R100 50ppm, my husband decided to gage the wheels of the trailer so he did not check what the attendant was doing as we were also in a hurry, we paid cash and then left. At least so 20km from the garage just after the turn off to Itsoseng our car lost power and immediately switched off while driving. My husband tried to start the car again but it would not start, we have three kids of which one is a 1year old that drinks formula. We were stuck on the road for 2 hours when eventually we got hold of someone to come and assist us. We then spent another 2 hours trying to find out why the car is not starting, eventually we had to be towed in to Mafikeng, we spend the whole weekend trying to find out what the problem was, Monday the mechanic drained the tank only to find that there was Petrol poured into our car and not Diesel as we had asked. with no luck, stress and no more money we had to get someone from Rustenburg to come and get us and our belongings in Mafikeng as we had to be in work and the kids at school. on our way back on Monday 28 February 2022 between 16:45 and 17:15 we stopped at Total garage Elandsfontein Lichtenburg to speak to the manager about what occurred at the garage, there was a lady she did not introduce herself she only said that she is the manager, we explained to her what had happened and described the attendant but she was so rude and asked us if we are sure we were there. we then asked her to check the footage so she could see that we were there, she said no there is procedure to be followed we are not allowed to see the footage, we then asked her what procedure should we follow that's when she got angry said look here I don't have time for all this just go to the police and open a case and that she stays in Ramatlhabama and has to go home, we told her we stay in Rustenburg and also need to get home, she told one of the staff members to take our details as she had no time to waste and she would get back to us, we tried calling the garage but there is no answer and till today 03 march 2022 they have not contacted us at all. Our car was left behind in Mafikeng because it cannot drive at all anymore it now has a hole in the block (ENGINE) because of petrol that was poured into our car at Total Elandsfontein Lichtenburg, we had to pay people to come and fetch us, our kids does not have transport to school as that is our only car, we have suffered a lot of damage and still no one has contacted us, we were denied to see the footage and on top of that they were rude to us. this is so painful
