TigerDirect Business Integrity of company- iPad pricing

DONT SHOP HERE! My complaint is literally the same complaint I’m seeing on other review sites- it used to be reputable but not anymore. Bought an IPad on 2/4, by 2/10 I checked to see where it was and they cancelled without notice- said it’s because they put the wrong price up and didn’t want to honor it-dozens of other reviews say it’s to collect data and spam and sell to others. Just run.

TigerDirect Business Horrible customer service / I reached tech support to assist me with my issue instead

I placed an order for a computer and on the website it was NOT on backorder when I ordered it. As of today, it is NOT LISTED on backorder on the website.

I was reassured by the verification department that it would be delivered on time.

I called today because I received an email that it's on backorder. The first service rep was VERY condescending and had a horrible tone with me. She stated, "WELL ITS BEEN ON BACKORDER FOR THREE WEEKS so..." I told her that I didn't understand since it's not listed on the website on backorder as of a few moments ago and I placed this order MORE than a week ago. She continued to speak to me very condescendingly and I asked for a supervisor since I was not getting anywhere. She put me on hold and then hung up on me after wasting my time.

I called back and pressed the number prompt for customer service again and spoke with a different customer service rep who kept saying "hold on" with an annoyed tone while she was supposedly checking the status then eventually she disconnected the line as well wasting more of my time and obviously upsetting me more.

I called back a 3rd time but this time I pressed the prompt for tech support because I realized the customer service must be obviously trained to hang up when they can't resolve an issue. The tech support gentleman Richard not only reassured me he would look into the matter. He kept coming back from on hold and letting me know he was still looking into it. He found the error in the system and advised me of the situation, resolved the issue, and addressed all my concerns. He gave me a tracking number for my order and was kind and courteous.

The tracking number the tech support team provided stated that a label was created on 12/8/2022 10:27 AM but it has not been shipped yet. It's really disappointing that it's been 5 business days and it has not been shipped yet just a label was created and it was only created today but still I have some answers.

Customer service needs to learn from Tech Support.

TigerDirect needs to address this immediately it reflects SO badly. I know this amount of money may not seem like a lot to some but it's a lot for us. The original customer service rep made a comment that this was a gaming PC. I bought this PC because I handle a lot of programs for my work that require some of these upgrades, ram, etc and it was recommended to me. Not because I can't wait to play games on it. Either way that is the customer's business and their money. The attitude was uncalled for.

If the original customer service rep was kind and tried to assist then I wouldn't be typing this. Your tech team told me news that I wasn't happy with but I was kind to him and he was kind to me because it's not his fault that things get delayed. Customer Service should learn from tech support.

Desired outcome: Retrain your customer service team to be more empathetic and not hang up on people.

TigerDirect Business Missing package

I purchased a computer from TigerDirect online, on 9/24/22. My total was over $200. I learned (while placing my order) that no signature was required at the time of delivery, which was unnerving, but I did not see an option to change this type of delivery. Apparently, UPS is who delivers TigerDirect's goods to consumers. I expected my new computer to arrive before the end of September. The computer still had not arrived by the end of the first week of October.

I placed a phone call to Tiger Direct immediately on October 7 after noticing an email dated October 6, stating "Thank you for your recent order. Our records indicate your order was completely shipped approximately 10 days ago. At this point, you should have received every item of your order." During this initial phone call with the TigerDirect customer "service" team, I was told to "ask my neighbors" first, before calling back to have TigerDirect file a claim with UPS.

Now, I live at the end of a very long driveway, and I can see everybody coming in and out of the property. I waited and watched for two weeks, for this package. Not a single package was delivered to our home during this time.

After having long written conversations with my neighbors, inquiring about the package possibly being delivered to them by mistake, I called TigerDirect back with the intention of having them file a claim with UPS. Since no signature was required upon delivery, there was no true proof of the package being delivered to me - or being delivered at all. I believe that TD's customer team mentioned that they do some sort of back track/tracing for the lost package, collaborating with UPS. I was told that they would gather video footage from the surrounding areas (how?) in order to help complete the investigation. I was told this investigation would be completed within 5-7 days and that they would contact me immediately with the outcome.

I did not receive a single call, letter, or email from TigerDirect with information about the outcome of the investigation. I called back a THIRD TIME and TigerDirect said that the case was closed because it was determined "delivered". I asked when the case was closed because I did not recieve anything. I was told that the case was closed October 7 (which could not be, because that was when the case was supposedly opened; I had made my first formal inquiry of the package being lost or missing on that date). Frantic, I asked them for proof that the computer was delivered and they just said that "[my name]" confirmed receipt of delivery. I did NOT confirm receipt of delivery, and I do not know how they would confirm this when no signature nor ID was required. They said that UPS's tracking "confirmed" that it was "delivered".

It's ridiculous that I have to pay for something that was either lost by UPS, or stolen, or undelivered/unshipped to begin with. I am calling my credit card company to file a dispute: I will not pay for this computer. I will post and file complaints with any company possible that handles problems like this, and ensure that my voice is heard. I am IRATE.

Desired outcome: I would very much appreciate a response from TigerDirect granting a full refund for the amount paid for the order.

TigerDirect Business Customer service on an order

Date: 04-06-2022 until 06-10-2022

Issue: I'll make this as simple as possible. We ordered 2 UPS in 2 different orders on 04-06-2022 that showed as "In Stock."

We were given a delivery date in April around the 15th. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone.

New delivery date on 05-29-2022. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone - given new delivery date - I asked if this date was absolute and ironclad - they assured me it was.

New delivery date on 06-10-2022. Today is the 10th. I called support and asked them if this order is still going to arrive today - our clients who have been waiting for over 2 months. They said no. New date, the 14th. I said give me a manager. They said they'll call you back. I said no, I'll hold...1 hour and 20 minutes, nothing. Still no call from a manager.

This is the worst customer service and the worst management of a company of this scale I have seen. We will never do business with TD again. I requested a refund for my client. I have no expectation they will actually do it. They have openly lied each step of this process. I have no faith in this company and I hope this dissuades others from ever doing business here again.

Desired outcome: Don't care - I'll tell everyone I do business with never to consider TD a reliable hardware source. Read their history if you want to see how deep their lies and thieving go.

TigerDirect Business new defected desktop not working and no exchange or refund?

i just purchased a refurbish desktop for my parent so they can learn and pay bills. first of al UPS delayed and the computer didnt arrives like 2 weeks late, then when i tried setup the computer just keeps restarting and shut down by itself, after that you have to wait more than 30mins in order to turn on the computer. Tigerdirect refuse to exchange or refund because they said its over the time limit. I have already told them UPS delivered 2 weeks late and i have already told them first place and UPS had record. Please help asap!

TigerDirect Business Refurbished pc's

I just purchased a refurbished hp laptop, when I received it the battery would not stay in no matter which way the "lock panel" was placed. Then the power would not come on or stay on. I followed THEIR instructions to the letter to obtain a return #, but was REFUSED one. The alleged customer support is non existant . I was told the # would be emailed to me, it was not, they try to run the 14 days out so you are screwed out of your money with a useless pc. Save yourself this hassle and buy from a business that stands behind what sell.

TigerDirect Business the worst service ever

They canceled my order without notifying me. I didn't even know and just waited for them to ship it. Thank god I called and asked. All of a sudden they call customers and ask to verify orders and they couldn't reach me, so that was the reason why they canceled it. Ok, but why you didn't write about it on your website? Usually, no one calls and you simply place your order and wait for it to arrive. If you warned me, I would surely be ready to confirm it via phone.
But however, I didn't see any income calls on that day from anyone, so they probably just lied to me. Who knows.
I want a refund now, that's all. I don't want to be ripped off.

TigerDirect Business I have an issue

Hello, I have a problem with www.tigerdirect.com website and I really need help. I placed an order and did not received it. It was placed in early December and it is now late January and still no sign of my order. Customer service does not reply to my messages and I have absolutely no idea what to do. Another thing that bothers me is that I can't enter their website! It says that I have to verify my order and there is a phone number but when I call no one picks up. I paid for my order and received all the confirmations, but it still says I need to verify. But how can I do that if no one answers the phone? I want TigerDirect to contact me as soon as possible regarding this issue.

TigerDirect Business terrible vendor!

Ordered a laptop from TigerDirect two months ago and did not get it yet. When I contacted them they said that they had no idea why my order was not shipped. For about two weeks my order was in a warehouse and they could not explain why. It was really hard to communicate with their rep, because he barely spoke English. These two moths we tried to find my order, but one day they just stopped answering me and even now they continue to ignore me. I finally gave up and asked them to cancel my order, but they did not reply yet.

TigerDirect Business never got my chromebook

I ordered an hp 11 chromebook back in April. I was suppose to receive it on the 15th. Ups emailed me to let me know that it was delivered, I called them immediately to inform them I did not receive the package. Tigerdirect will not return my calls or emails. I went through the fraud dept. Of my bank but that was a waste of time. Tirgerdirect had no problem taking the money and they won't make the order good. All I want is what I paid for. This is now the middle of may and out $172.95. Attorney general is next on my list and then the FBI fraud division. I will go up the ladder however far I have to. Make it right and I'll go away. Until then I will continue posting on whatever I have to and I will continue calling. ( The order number is: r3473031) I can't even get a receipt. The only proof I have is my bank statement.

TigerDirect Business they sent my order to wrong state

I really hope that my review would be helpful for other customers. Tiger Direct Canada Inc. doesn’t provide good services and can’t even deliver the order to correct address. I have bought present for my daughter and after 2 days my card was charged for $230. I got the confirmation and USPS tracking number. 12 days later I got the email from the customer services and it was mentioned that I should get my order by now. I checked the tracking number and it showed that the order was received and signed, but in different state.

TigerDirect Business fraud

Today, April 27, 2015, at 9:22 am, I receive TigerDirect email to register to win Dream Office and 10% off online order. After registering, next web screen informs that the promotion is over. Wow. Received email at 9:22 am and it's over by 9:28 am? Call their 800 number. Explanation? "Oh that email was from the TigerDirect STORES and this is the ONLINE TigerDirect." What fraud, just an email harvester. I unsubscribed, will place all future TigerDirect emails in JUNK. The TigerDirect store near me is going out of business, gee, I wonder why?

I had a rep try to hook me up on 30 day term no go for and I told them today the $ has been sent by cheque and I was to, ld could take up to 10-15 days of business days I so so dont give a hoot but that is rediculouse Anyhow I hope the product I am getting works well otherwise I will call the company and ask for help. I got today this rep I was dealing with is no longer there but he never emailed to tell me who new rep was.

My wife ordered a $135.00 item from Tigerdirect. My credit card was charged $180.00. The packing slip shows a line item of $45.00 sales tax. That is a 35% rate whereas the state of tax sales rate is 7%. I have been unable to get an explanation from Tigerdirect.

TigerDirect Business unauthorized charges

In December 2014 I have purchased a computer mouse for $85 as a new year gift. Estimated delivery was 5 days. On January 8th my item was not even shipped so I cancelled my order- took me 2 hours. I was refunded my money. Yesterday January 28th my card was charged again by TigerDirect. The charge was for 83.99 and came unexpectedly so my account was over the limit. I started a chat with them and found out that "a third party" shipped my item on January 27th! That is more than a month after I paid for it and 20 days after I cancelled my purchase and was refunded. There was no notification of any sort, they just charged my card again. The only suggestion I have been given by customer service is to refuse the parcel in hopes that when it gets back to this "third party" I would be refunded.

TigerDirect Business scam artists

On 11/28/14 this year, I order three items from TigerDirect.com. This order arrived a week later. I had ordered a tablet, speakers and a McAfee anti-virus program. The McAfee program was missing, although I had been charged $30 for it. The tablet was supposed to have a full rebate with it. No rebate form could be found at their website. I attempted to call them several times, but got the usual, "high call volume and we can't answer, send an e-mail." I sent two e-mails and after another week received a response that "we are checking with the carrier" to see about the McAfee! I can tell this is going to be a long, drawn-out affair with them. Tiger Direct literally has thousands of consumers complaints. I should have checked before. A few days after the order mentioned, I placed an order for another tablet and another McAfee for the rebates. They arrived about a week later. This time, TWO sets of McAfee arrived, although I only ordered one (and two were charged to my credit card). I have again tried to call them. I had also ordered a PNY 64K flash drive which was supposed to have a rebate for the full price. No rebate form on the Tiger Direct website. I am now trying to return several items. If you buy from them, you will find they will NOT let you return most things unless they are defective, and then not for a refund, only for an exchange. You do business with these thieves at your own risk. I have also filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office in Florida. If you've been scammed by these cretins, I suggest you do the same. At some point, this may result in a class action suit against them and some of the money they have wrongfully pocketed may be returned to the victims!

Placed an order... it got indefinitely backordered (phone support says they'll NEVER get another one of the item in question) so I canceled the order... they are STILL sending me backorder emails, and it's been almost a year.

TigerDirect Business seller provided fake tracking number

I bought laptop and tablet from the company www.tigerdirect.ca. Total rip off. The seller provided fake tracking number, which showed that my order was delivered. I tried to contact the seller, but this jerk ignored me. They are liars and scammers, and I want to find other deceived customers, who lost money. Please we need to stop this company and return our money. Post your comments.

I was about to purchase Online a LENOVO TABLE QUADCORE 8"but change my mind after having a bad experience with CHINABUYE.COM and decided to go to an store Located in Vaughan, about westong rd/North of hyw 7 where the home depot is located...FOUND THAT: they had only the display one and a Bad customer experience...Purchase a Mouse model # mp2650blu and the Tag for $13.95 at the cashier the Item it was $16.95 had an argument with the Cashier and The Manager a Chineese Guy was no difference with a Bad actitude finally they had to give me the discount and FOR SURE WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TIGERDIRECT IN ANY WAY.

TigerDirect Business scam and liars

BUYER BEWARE, NOT A RELIABLE COMPANY ANYMORE AND YOU PROBABLY WILL HAVE A WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! They are so busy trying to make sales, they lie about the items. If you get a wrong item, which is common anymore, or if you get a lied about item, they will NOT refund your money, then you have to call your credit card company to resolve and chargeback. What happens is if you call their Tiger Direct's Customer service, and you try to escalate the call to get it resolved, they are so ignorant that they put you in a continuous loop of people forwarding the calls! Absolutely HORRENDOUS ! NOT one operator seems to get the previous story about why you called, neither do any of them resolve it. AND BE WARNED, Do not trust them when they say the money is back on your account, go in and find out because they LIE LIE LIE. In fact, do not be surprised because they are know to doublecharge, or ship another because they are trying to make commission and will ship something you did not order! They have lost a very old customer here!

TigerDirect Business will not honor 90 day warranty

Account #: [protected] Order #: J1253323 - The television broke completely within the 90day warranty time and the company and the “warranty company” have not replaced or refunded me for the television and have been giving me the run around for over FIVE MONTHS now. I have emails that date back to November 2012 not including telephone calls made and any telephone number I am given simply circles around to them saying the other telephone number is taking care of this. I have emails advising me that it should be taken care of in a few days dating back THREE MONTHS ago.

TigerDirect Business shipped wrong product

I ordered a BluRay player from Amazon, filled by TigerDirect. I received the box from Amazon, did not open it (MY FAULT), wrapped it, gave it as a gift. When the person opened it, I noticed it was the WRONG item. Sent an email, received this :

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately, we can no longer issue a return for your product because its already past 30 days. Please be informed that we can only cover 30 days of the warranty from the date of purchase. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Should you need further assistance, please respond to this email.
Thank you for contacting us today.

TigerDirect Business the tiger direct hustle

This past Christmas, I got a Dell computer from the online company Tiger Direct. Unfortunately, it had defects. When I called Tiger Direct (12/28/11) about getting my computer repaired, a TD rep told me that before they would do anything, I needed to contact the company (U.S. Micro) that sold them the computer.

Then the TD rep told me that I had to get a “case number” from USM and give it to TD. Well, I tried, but USM wouldn’t answer their phones, and when I left a lot of voice-mails, they wouldn’t call me back. In the first voice-mail, I even said that I needed to get that “case number” for TD.

Finally, in one voice-mail message, I mentioned the word “scam, ” and Tom from USM called me back and left me an answering machine message with a different number. I thought the problem would be solved, but when I called that number, I was directly connected to USM’s main voice-mail again. So, I left my same message.

A few days (1/9/12) later, a man named “Son” from USM left me an early morning answering machine message with the same new number. A few hours later, I called for Son and was told that he was on another call. I asked that he call me back. (Of course, I left my phone number.) Neither Son nor anyone else at USM ever called me back.

This looks like a hustle to me. Here’s why:
(1) TD and USM do business together.
(2) TD has a “case number” requirement AND a 30-day return policy.
(3) USM failed to get back to me and give me that “case number” within TD’s
30-day period.
(4) Because USM failed to get me that “case number” within TD’s return period,
TD did not have to pay to repair my defective computer. I still have it.
(5) TD does an enormous amount of business, and USM sells them a lot of
products. Therefore, it’s very likely that I’m not the only TD customer who
has had this experience. Therefore, it’s very likely that some of these other
customers have made TD aware of this situation.

After all that, I wrote several letters to TD’s Customer Service Manager, Rosemary Lindsay. My letters included all of the details of my predicament—dates, times, the defects with my computer. But she never responded to me.

I think that TD is so big that they think they can do whatever they want. So when a customer contacts TD about a product with defects, TD requires the customer to get a nonsense “case number” from a third-party and to do it within the return period. And then TD just waits. Then TD and the third-party can play the odds and hustle these customers for 30 days. And even if TD does repair a few defective products, TD’s hustle saves the company a lot of money.
