MacSales.com Beware of Misleading Warranty and Poor Customer Service from MacSales.com

I bought a thunderbolt RAID0 enclosure from MacSales.com last year, and I have to say, I'm not impressed. The website suggested that the product came with a three-year warranty, but when I received it, I found out that I only had a one-year warranty because I bought it from B&H. I was pretty disappointed, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway.

Unfortunately, the product was defective from the day it was delivered. I didn't realize it until I started trying to handle large video files, but the write speed was nowhere near what it should have been. Instead of 600-900MB/sec, I was only getting 25-30MB/sec. I knew it wasn't the drives, because I had eliminated all other variables.

When I contacted the manufacturer, they admitted that their website warranty information was misleading. They offered me a 10% discount on a brand new one, which I have to say, was a bit of a kick in the teeth. I wasn't impressed with their customer service, and I don't think I'll be buying from them again.

So, if you're thinking about buying from MacSales.com, beware. Make sure you read the warranty information carefully, and don't expect great customer service if something goes wrong.

MacSales.com Terrible Shipping Time and Service from MacSales - Don't Waste Your Time

I gotta say, if you're in a hurry, don't even bother with MacSales. They say they'll get your stuff to you in 2-3 days, but that's a bunch of baloney. I ordered a battery for my MacBook on May 11th, and it was supposed to get here before my friend from Canada came to visit me in France on the 19th. But guess what? It didn't show up, and now my friend is here and I'm stuck without a battery. I'm never ordering from MacSales again, that's for sure. At first, I thought the price was pretty good and the service seemed okay, but now I'm paying way more than I bargained for. I have to get the battery shipped from Canada to France, and that's gonna cost me an arm and a leg. Plus, I'm gonna have to ask my friends to do it for me, and I feel like a real jerk for inconveniencing them. And who knows when the stupid thing will actually get here? Meanwhile, my MacBook battery is dying faster than a cheetah on roller skates. I'm so mad I could spit nails.

MacSales.com MacSales.com's Aura Pro X2: A Disappointing and Faulty MacBook Upgrade

I recently had a less than satisfactory experience with MacSales.com, also known as OWC. I purchased an Aura Pro X2 to upgrade my MacBook's hard drive, but unfortunately, it caused my computer to crash and freeze at random intervals, giving me a bunch of kernel panic errors. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least.

When I reached out to customer service for help, I found them to be extremely slow in responding to my queries, and none of their solutions worked. To make matters worse, they refused to give me a refund for their faulty product, citing that it was outside the scope of their return window. I was disappointed to see that there were negative reviews all over the internet from people who had similar problems with this product.

It's clear to me that MacSales.com is well aware that this hard drive doesn't work as a MacBook upgrade, yet they still bill it as such and sell it to unsuspecting customers. It's a shame that they engage in such false advertising practices. I urge you not to fall for their marketing tactics like I did.

In conclusion, I would advise anyone looking to upgrade their MacBook's hard drive to steer clear of MacSales.com. Their products may seem tempting, but the risk of encountering issues like I did is simply not worth it.

MacSales.com Disappointing Experience with MacSales.com: iPhone 13 Pro Max in Poor Condition and Frustrating Customer Service

I recently made a purchase from MacSales.com for an iPhone 13 Pro Max. The product was described as being in "Very Good Condition," but unfortunately, I was disappointed with what I received. The front screen was filled with deep scratches, and it looked like the phone had been heavily used. Even my 2-year-old phones looked better than this one.

When I opened the package, I immediately noticed the scratches. To make matters worse, I couldn't even turn the phone on. It was essentially a paperweight that cost me almost $900. I called their customer service reps to see if I could return the phone, but it was a frustrating experience. I spent about an hour going back and forth with their rep and their supervisor (who apparently couldn't talk to me). Eventually, they agreed to accept the return, but I had to pay for shipping and a re-stocking fee.

I used to have a good experience with MacSales.com, but it seems like their management has changed. I would never buy another product from them again, and I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to using my new phone, but instead, I ended up with a disappointing experience.

MacSales.com Frustrating Experience with MacSales.com: Faulty SSD, Useless Tools, and Hidden Fees

I was really frustrated with my experience with MacSales.com. I ordered an upgrade SSD pcie for my iMac from them, but when it arrived, it was faulty and didn't work at all. I was really disappointed because I had spent a lot of money on this upgrade and was hoping it would improve my computer's performance.

To make matters worse, the upgrade kit tools they sent were useless and fell apart. I had to go to a local DIY store to purchase new ones. When I contacted MacSales.com to let them know about the faulty SSD, they told me that I was outside of the 30-day refund period. They did agree to give me an in-store credit, but I had to send the faulty SSD back to them at my own expense.

When I used my in-store credit to order a new SSD, I had to spend an hour on the phone with an agent to make sure the new order was correct. I even sent my iMac system specs via email to make sure everything was compatible. I paid for an expensive UPS postage option that was supposed to cover all import and custom duties, but when my order arrived, I had to pay again for import duties.

To make matters worse, my order was missing an important bracket that I needed to install the SSD. It's been three months now, and I've spent a ton of money and time on this upgrade, but I still can't close up my iMac. It's been a really frustrating experience, and I wouldn't recommend MacSales.com to anyone.

If you're looking to upgrade your computer, I would suggest ordering from Amazon or finding a different provider. With MacSales.com, if anything goes wrong, you're the one who ends up paying and paying. It's just not worth the hassle.

MacSales.com Disappointing Quality and Customer Service from MacSales.com

I've been a fan of MacSales.com for over a decade now, and I've always been impressed with the quality of their products. However, I have to say that my recent experiences with them have been a bit disappointing.

For starters, I've received a couple of refurbished Macs from them in the past year that had some serious issues right out of the box. One had start-up problems that made it almost unusable, while the other had ports that were so worn out that my peripherals kept falling out. As someone who relies on their computer for work, this was a major inconvenience.

To make matters worse, MacSales.com's customer service team wasn't very helpful when I reached out to them about these issues. They expected me to pay for the shipping back to them, as well as a restocking fee for items that clearly had problems from the start. And when I received a replacement item that had cosmetic markings on it, they once again expected me to pay for the shipping back to them.

Overall, it seems like MacSales.com's commitment to quality has slipped a bit in recent years. While I used to recommend them to everyone I knew, I'm now hesitant to do so. It's a shame, because they used to be my go-to source for all things Mac-related.

MacSales.com MacSales.com Charger Review: Defective and Disappointing

The charger I got from MacSales.com was a total disaster. It was causing all sorts of problems with my laptop, and I was convinced that my laptop needed some serious repairs. I took it to both Apple and UBreakIFitxIt, but they both told me that there was nothing wrong with my laptop. They said that the charger was not genuine and that it was defective.

I contacted OWC, and they told me that they would replace the charger under the current warranty, but they wouldn't give me a refund. I wasn't trying to get out of buying a charger altogether; I just didn't want to keep getting defective products. I asked them to restart the warranty with the replacement, but they refused. They insisted that the charger was genuine and that these things happen all the time. But I know that's not true. Even with rough wear and tear, genuine Apple chargers can last up to 3 years. If a business won't stand behind its products, then it's clear that they're selling junk. Don't waste your money on MacSales.com.

Now, I have to give credit where credit is due. I have a lot of issues with Apple, but I have to admit that their products last. I've been buying Apple products for the last 20 years, and every single one of them still works. That's the kind of quality that I expect from a company, and that's the kind of quality that MacSales.com clearly doesn't have.

MacSales.com Disappointing Experience with MacSales.com: Laptop Issues and Poor Communication

My experience with MacSales.com has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I was looking for a laptop with an optical drive for my elderly mother, and after some research, I decided to give MacSales.com a try. I spoke with a customer service representative before making my purchase to ensure that the optical drive was guaranteed to work. The representative assured me that the entire laptop would be tested before being sent out, so I went ahead and made the purchase.

When the laptop arrived, however, the optical drive did not work. I was disappointed, but I sent the computer back to MacSales.com and they replaced it. Unfortunately, they shipped the laptop back without sending me a notification or email, and it ended up sitting outside my house in the rain. Luckily, a trusted neighbor saw the package and kept it safe until I returned home.

After a few weeks of using the laptop, it started beeping and crashing. I called MacSales.com and was told that the RAM was busted and needed to be replaced. I was surprised that this issue had not been caught during the testing process, but I went ahead and got the RAM replaced. However, after just two weeks, the laptop started crashing and beeping again.

I sent the laptop back to MacSales.com, but I was worried that they would not handle the issue properly. So, I called regularly for updates and was shocked to find out that they were about to send the computer back claiming they found no issues - without even emailing me or informing me! Luckily, I had taken screenshots and videos of the computer crashing, so I sent those as proof and insisted they check more thoroughly.

In the end, MacSales.com replaced the RAM as a courtesy, but they shipped the computer back without sending a notification or email once again. I was frustrated with the recurring issue and the lack of communication from the company.

Overall, my experience with MacSales.com has been disappointing and frustrating. The amount of time, hassle, and energy this purchase has cost me is unacceptable. While I appreciate the courtesy of the RAM replacement, I doubt I would ever do business with MacSales.com again.

MacSales.com Disappointing Customer Service Experience with MacSales.com

I've been a customer of MacSales.com for a long time now and have used their services several times over the years. I've even recommended them to numerous people because I used to love this company. However, my recent experience with their customer service has left me disappointed.

I purchased a $20 product and realized after checking out that it was selected to ship to an old address that was saved in my profile on the website. I immediately checked the hours for calling customer service and discovered that it was after hours (weekend). So, I attempted to chat with customer service online since the website said that was the fastest option. I sent a chat message and the chat service said my message was received and I would hear back from MacSales.com.

In the message, I attempted to reroute/halt my order before it was selected to ship to the old address which was 4,000 miles or 1/3 of the world away. The message was sent with about a 2 day lead time before the product shipped.

When I finally connected with customer service, it was too late. The customer service agent told me I should have called the closed phone line. That logic was perused even after I supplied them with all the order details (time/date info). The agent kept saying I should have called instead of trying to use the chat system (which the website said was the fastest and preferred method).

The customer service agent told me I should contact whoever is currently living at my previous address, an apartment from 7 years ago. I stated I have no idea who that is.

After a painful 45 minute debate with a hard to rationalize with customer service agent, I realized MacSales.com just has bad customer service. I'll pay less and get more customer service from Amazon.

Just know, with any hiccup in ordering from this company comes a chance of terrible customer service, complete loss of money, and a couple hours of meaningless pain in the grips of customer service. For me, it's worth it to spend my money elsewhere.

MacSales.com Terrible Experience with MacSales.com: Faulty Refurbished Macbook Pro and Poor Customer Service

I just had a terrible experience with MacSales.com! I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years, mostly buying hard drives from them. However, my recent purchase of a refurbished 2019 16" Macbook Pro turned out to be a huge mistake. After only four days of use, the computer started making a strange "pinging" sound, even when it was idle. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot the issue, but it only happened when the computer was running on AC power with something plugged into a port. I even contacted Apple Care, but they couldn't fix the problem.

I decided to take the computer to my local Apple Genius Bar, and the technician immediately knew what was wrong. He said the computer was drawing too much power, causing it to repeatedly cycle on and off. He also warned me that the motherboard needed to be replaced and that the computer was a lemon. Apple's records showed that the motherboard had already been replaced twice in four years, once by a non-certified repairman. I was shocked that MacSales.com didn't disclose this information to me when I purchased the computer.

I sent a detailed email to MacSales.com explaining the problem and attaching an audio file of the pinging sound. A few days later, I received a response saying that they were going to charge me a 15% restocking fee of $240. I spoke to a "manager" named Liz, who claimed that their technicians couldn't reproduce the problem and that I was responsible for the restocking fee. I reminded her that it took four days for the problem to surface for me and asked her how long their technicians tested the computer. She didn't know and didn't seem to care. She repeated that their online return policy stated that their technicians had to reproduce the problem for me to receive a full refund.

The next day, I took another Apple computer of mine to be repaired at Mac Hollywood, a reputable Apple repair store in Los Angeles. When I mentioned the problems I had with the Macbook Pro from MacSales.com, the head technician immediately diagnosed the problem as a faulty motherboard. I called MacSales.com and spoke to Liz again, telling her that a second highly-qualified Apple technician had diagnosed the problem as a faulty motherboard. She said she would let their technicians know, but my case was closed, and they wouldn't refund me.

I'm extremely disappointed with MacSales.com's customer service. Liz was unhelpful and unsympathetic, and I felt like she didn't care about my problem. It's also concerning that MacSales.com didn't disclose the history of the computer's motherboards to me when I purchased it. After posting this review, I noticed that MacSales.com has predominantly negative reviews, which doesn't surprise me. I wouldn't recommend MacSales.com to anyone, and I regret buying from them.

MacSales.com Disappointing Customer Service Experience with MacSales.com

So, I had a bit of a problem with MacSales.com. I ordered something and accidentally put in the wrong address. I tried to contact customer service right away, but they didn't get back to me until a whole week later. By then, the item had already been shipped and delivered to the wrong address. I tried to get help from USPS, but they couldn't do anything to retrieve the item. And OWC, the company that runs MacSales.com, wouldn't help me either. It's like they're all just robots with no sense of quality control. Honestly, it's pretty disappointing.

MacSales.com Buyer Beware: My Disappointing Experience with MacSales.com

I gotta say, if you're looking to buy something, I wouldn't recommend going to MacSales.com. I mean, sure, they might have some savings and deals, but trust me, it's not worth it. I made the mistake of buying a Beats headphone from them, and boy was that a mistake. First of all, the thing was clearly used. I mean, come on, I paid for a new product, not someone's hand-me-downs. And to make matters worse, it broke in less than a week. I tried to return it and get my money back, but nope, they wouldn't have it. They just sent the broken item back to me. Talk about dishonest people, am I right?

Honestly, my advice to you is to just pay the store price and buy something good. Don't waste your time and money on these shady websites. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration. Trust me, I learned my lesson the hard way.

MacSales.com Terrible Experience with MacSales.com: False Advertising and Poor Customer Service

MacSales.com is a website that I had a really bad experience with. They advertised a product as "new" but when I received it, it was not new at all and it didn't even work. I had to pay for the shipping to get it to me, and then I had to pay for the shipping to send it back. It was a huge hassle and it took up so much of my time. I even had to ask my friends for help and I reached out to Apple for assistance, but they couldn't help me either.

To make matters worse, when I finally got in touch with MacSales.com, they told me that I was past the 14 day return policy and they would only refund me a minimal amount. I was left with over $250 in personal charges and a product that never worked. It was really shameful and I was so disappointed.

I would not recommend MacSales.com to anyone. Their false advertising and poor customer service left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It's really frustrating to spend so much money on a product that doesn't work and then have to deal with all of the hassle of trying to return it. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else.

MacSales.com Disappointing Experience with MacSales.com: OWC Express USB 2.0 2.5" Enclosure + 250GB Mercury Electra 3G SSD Review

So, I gotta tell ya, I had a pretty rough time with MacSales.com. I was really excited to get my hands on the OWC Express USB 2.0 2.5" Enclosure + 250GB Mercury Electra 3G SSD, but it took forever to arrive. And when it finally did, it just didn't work right. I was so disappointed.

I shelled out $90 CDN for this thing, and I was really hoping it would be worth it. But it just wasn't. And when I tried to return it, they only gave me back $75. And I had to pay $20 just to ship it back to them! Can you believe it? I lost almost half of what I paid for it.

Honestly, this was the worst buying experience I've ever had. I don't think I'll ever use MacSales.com again. And I really don't think you should either. It's just not worth the hassle.

MacSales.com Avoid this Company at All Costs: Terrible Customer Service and Low-Quality Products

This company is a complete disaster. I ordered an SSD for my MacBook Pro from them and it was a total nightmare. The SSD not only failed, but it also completely destroyed my computer. I was so upset and frustrated that I decided to contact their "customer service" department. However, the person I spoke with was incredibly rude and argumentative. They even had the audacity to blame my computer for breaking their faulty product and itself.

To make matters worse, they refused to pay for the shipping to return their defective product. I couldn't believe it! I was so angry and disappointed that I decided to warn others about this terrible company. I strongly advise you to avoid them at all costs. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle and frustration.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service and such a low-quality product. It's clear that this company doesn't care about its customers or the quality of its products. I regret ever doing business with them and I will never make that mistake again. Save yourself the trouble and find a different company to buy from.

MacSales.com Poor Customer Service and Long Wait Times for Refunds at MacSales.com

I bought a bunch of parts for my Mac from MacSales.com, spent $550 on it. They said they shipped it, but it never showed up. I waited a whole month before I got fed up and emailed their support team. They took forever to get back to me, but when they finally did, they said I had to wait two whole months before I could file a claim. That's a long time to wait, if you ask me.

So I waited two more months, and then I asked for a refund. But they ignored my emails for weeks! I was getting so frustrated. Finally, I decided to take action and opened a complaint with the BBB (that's the Better Business Bureau, in case you didn't know). And guess what? They finally replied and said they were going to give me a refund in two weeks.

But even then, it took over 4 and a half months to get my refund. Can you believe it? That's a really long time to wait for something that was their fault in the first place. I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience.

Overall, I think MacSales.com needs to work on their customer service. They shouldn't make people wait so long to file a claim, and they definitely shouldn't ignore emails for weeks. And if they lose a package, they should be more proactive about getting a refund to their customers. I don't think I'll be shopping there again anytime soon.

MacSales.com Disappointing Experience with MacSales.com Charger and Customer Service

Bought a charger for my Mac from MacSales.com, but I messed up and got the wrong one with an L-shaped plug-in. I called up customer service, but they didn't give me a refund or trade. Instead, they suggested I buy an adapter for about $10 that would convert my charger to the right one. I went for it, but the adapter only works sometimes. It's hard to tell if it's charging my computer or if I'm still running on battery power. I'm not too happy with my experience and don't think I'll be shopping at MacSales.com again.

MacSales.com Beware of MacSales.com: Selling Counterfeit Chargers!

So, I gotta tell ya, I had a bit of a rough go with MacSales.com. I bought one of those fancy MagSafe chargers for my 2012 Macbook, but it crapped out on me. No biggie, right? I mean, these things happen. But then, when they replaced it under warranty, the same thing happened again! What gives, man?

Well, I did a little digging and found out that these guys are selling counterfeit chargers. Yeah, you heard me right. Counterfeit! And let me tell you, these things had all the telltale signs of being fake. So, I filed a complaint with the BBB (that's Better Business Bureau, for those of you who don't know) and you know what? They didn't rule in my favor! Can you believe that?

I mean, I'm not one to go around calling people scammers, but in this case, I gotta say it: MacSales.com is a scam. I emailed them a bunch of times about this and they just denied everything, saying that their chargers were "genuine". But I'm not the only one who's had this problem. Other folks who filed complaints with the BBB had the same issues as me.

So, yeah. I'm never using this company again. And you shouldn't either, unless you want to risk getting a fake charger that's just gonna break on you again. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. Trust me on this one.

MacSales.com Mixed Experiences with MacSales.com: Great Products, But Some Issues

I gotta say, I've had some mixed experiences with MacSales.com. On one hand, they've got some really great products that have been a lifesaver for me. I'm talking about the 4M2 enclosure, the PCIe NVME RAID, and the TB3 and Pro Dock. These things have really helped me out in a pinch and I'm grateful for them.

But on the other hand, there are some things about this company that just don't make sense to me. For one thing, why do they have to install SoftRAID on some of their products? I mean, I get that it's supposed to be helpful or whatever, but it's just not necessary for everyone. And then there's the whole RAID 5 thing for the larger multi-bay drives. I don't know about you, but that just seems like overkill to me.

And don't even get me started on the packaging. I mean, seriously, do we really need all that extra plastic and cardboard? It just seems like a waste to me.

But despite all these issues, I still want to like MacSales.com. I really do. I mean, they've got some great products and their customer service is usually pretty good. It's just that sometimes they make decisions that don't make any sense to me and it's frustrating.

Oh, and one more thing. I recently tried to turn my Accelsior PCIe RAID into an Apple RAID and it ended up bricking the product. I had to send it in for an RMA and it was a huge hassle. So yeah, that was not cool.

Overall, I guess I would say that MacSales.com is a decent company with some good products, but they could definitely stand to make some improvements.

MacSales.com Disappointing Customer Service Experience with MacSales.com

I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with MacSales.com. I was trying to upgrade my Imac and I thought I'd reach out to them for some help. I sent an email asking if they could assist me with the upgrade and they responded saying that they offer turnkey upgrade services for my iMac. I was pretty excited to hear that, so I called them up at ***685 and left a voicemail with the option that someone would call me back within an hour.

But guess what? No one called me back. I waited and waited, but no one ever got back to me. So, a few days later, I decided to follow up with them. I was pretty disappointed to hear that they don't offer the service at all. I mean, what kind of response is that? I was pretty frustrated at this point, so I reached out to the person I originally spoke to via email. But guess what? No response at all.

Honestly, I think their customer service is pretty trash. If you're someone who's good at DIY and doesn't need any interaction with them, then I guess they're a viable option. But if you're someone who needs help or assistance, then I'd say stay away from MacSales.com.
