MY OPINION STAY WELL AWAY THEY BREAK THE LAW AND REGULATIONS AS AN INSURANCE BROKER

What they originally quoted me on my policy and what they told the underwriting Insurance Company was two different things. I had my insurance cancelled by the Insurer just because THINK INSURANCE did not pass the information on to the company and then told me to take the complaint up with the insurer. I contacted the FSA and any other regulating body. I now have to go and find insurance again and also pay the extortionate amount for the deposit and instalments all over again.

I have been with this company for 3 months I have been in the motor trade for over 10 years, I have 5 years no claims bonus and I have always used brokers for motor trade. I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY 1.

Worst company and everything is fraud. I paid my deposit and I will advise please be careful with this company when you take up the insurance if the quotes are high also go with the better company. They will just take your money and will never agree their mistake.

My son had Think Insurance and they totally ripped him off! He had a black box and they cancelled his policy due to - Breaking too sharply and starting too fast. He was a new driver getting used to his car. They kept his deposit and tried to charge him a couple of 100 for cancellation fees! They tried to take this from his bank without warning. He has just received a letter from them asking for £2, 000 as he had an accident within the first couple of months of his policy - which they cancelled - They now want him to pay for the full 12 months without receiving any insurance. Stay clear of this company, they look for vulnerable and naive people.

Just made the mistake of taking insurance out with this company, there needs to be a big warning sign urging everyone to steer clear. Unbelievable poor service and poor attitude maybe it is a cultural thing from the top, who knows. Took the view that it was better to cancel my sons cover and go with a company that truly values their customers and does not disrespect them, you have been warned use them at your peril

Very unprofessional and rude company. When I called to cancel the policy within cooling off period and questioned the charges the line manager actually laughed at me and thourght the whole conversation he was talking over me, so he didn't hear what I was saying. Some weird rules of paying excessive amounts of you want to cancel. Whether its within or after cooling off period. The private insurance I had never charged any amount of the remaining policy, only cancellation fee. These people have some weird rules. Cancellation fee, as it says in t&c, is up to £100 and that's what they were charging me so I asked why are you charging me with max amount when I'm cancelling within a week from starting the insurance, the line manager couldn't explain that, only wobbled something about the work that the broker did for me.

I managed to get all my £1000 back out of them after complaining bitterly about them to the MD of the insurance company who the policy was with, he thanked us for being so honest and constructive in our criticism about Think and instructed Think to pay us every penny back, it took over a week and a further call to the MD but it all arrived in my account.

My son has just taken out Insurance in January with Think and I paid 1000 up front for him, they have now cancelled my son's policy saying they "believe" he has misinformed them about the time he has had a driving licence and they are keeping the premium because of this, yeah right, They are misinformed, rude, arrogant, incompetent and a manager is never available and no one has a surname. they apparently don't write notes even though they record all calls and no-one speaks to each other.
I will get my money back even if it costs me the same amount it's now a matter of principal.
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE EVER

I've taken out a traders policy with them today and paid a £1000 deposit, however I've since had some bad news and decided that I'm best waiting a few months before I need this policy, as it's oy the 1st day into the cooling off period will I get my money back? Or am I better off completing the agreement as I'll lose my money?
Reading these reviews I'm worried I've just lost my money.

Apart from that thay have been good so far 😀

I came to speak with their Sales Manager to complain as the "advisors" had been so rude and unhelpful to my husband. The sales manager then asked if Id let him do a quote for us and we accepted. We took out insurance with him but this has proved to be invalid due to a mix up over my no claims bonus, which they did not bother to confirm with me. They have our deposit and this months installment and wont refund it or put it towards new insurance, but actually told us were lucky not to be getting charged extra, after it was their misinformation that got us in this position. They then wanted us to pay another £150 plus new installment so we would have paid £375 for 2 months insurance. They dont know about insurance and once youve paid your money over you will end up out of pocket and likely with invalid insurance.

Kept asking for receipts and I emailed numerous before the deadline, then they cancelled after 1 month and refunded less than half my money.TOTAL TIMEWASTERS and SCAMMERS! Do not be fooled by their cheaper premiums.Heard this has been happening often with THINK insurance so be WARNED! SCAMMERS!

Been trading for 15 years, changed to Think in April, BIG, BIG mistake, required more, and more proof of trading, I had sent about 20 different documents, etc (never had to do this before !), yet after 3 weeks they told me they were going to cancel my policy because of not enough proof of trading ! Been fighting to get my refund back, I paid a years premium up front, as I always have, now after having just one months cover, they are telling me they will return less then half of my full years premium. This for a issue of they making, and not mine, I have been honourable in all my dealings with them. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. They are scammers.

People often find themselves feeling scammed by motor trade policies but this is not the case, underwriters are constantly auditing customers as many people get trade policies under false pretences. Many times the underwriters cancel and not the brokers. Most trade insurance is cancelled on short term rates as stated in the terms of businesses but customers never read them. I am a propper trader, keep receipts and have never been cancelled by Think or anyone else. Im happy with the service I get!

I took out insurance with think what a nightmare asked for documentation as a trader sent loads of documentation sent driving license and trade plates lots of car receipts still not enough then emailed me saying that my speeding points of six points was now no good for the insurer and the underwriters were cancelling my policy I asked why they taken my money and while this wasn't done before they took my money and gave me a cover note they just spoke over me constantly and said I'd had not informed them of points I had this is the first thing I did I arked them to go back to listen to the recordeding of the quote I had informed of the points and I'd also clearly sent copies of my driving license out of pocket by £200 for three days cover these people are arrogant rude and a scam artists stay well away bunch of total incompetence are holes

YES I would agree, THINK INSURANCE is quick to take your money. Not nice people to deal with and I would NEVER use again. They wanted proof of trading so I emailed invoices as required before the deadline and they still cancelled my policy after I had paid up in full. I have been trading for over 30 years. Don't understand the arrogance of this company!

I am Mr Javed of Response Motor Company. I have took out a Motor Trade policy with Think Insurance a month ago. I emailed all the Documents within the first week. I received my policy documents after I called the Salesman (James Potts ) and threatened to cancel everything, within the 14 days Cooling Off Period. James advised my business Partner a deal too good to be true, we still took the chance, and now realise it IS too good to be true. The salesman advise you Benefits with Thick, but don't like confirming in writing AFTER you have took the policy out. The problems didn't end there, they should be called THICK Insurance instead of Think. Latest issue is, Mollie from Think confirmed after her research, Alpha Insurance are based in Pakistan, when clearly they are in Denmark. Staff at Think don't listen to our concerns, but never late to take money out. I wish I read this review early August, I wouldn't have got stung. If my policy get cancelled, it looks bad on me when getting future quotes, and nearly £1000 wasted !

You contacted the FSA but then don't mention them again. Did the FSA side with Think Insurance then?
