We finally closed ALL our accounts after banking here loyally for 20 years, ever since it was TCF Bank. This is because Winston Dacuycuy did a bait and switch on us with branch manager Theresa Wittau. Winston said to me, "You should have all these services free and NOT pay for them as a valued customer."
So after depositing many thousands of $ with the specific agreement that we would no longer be charged $6 for cashier's checks, they suddenly broke our agreement without notice a week later, saying, "Agreements can change anytime." His true Jekyll and Hyde came out, with the nasty side of him dominating after receiving our $.
We immediately closed ALL our accounts. Our friends and family also closed ALL their accounts here. This review is to make others aware of the poor business decisions he made and prevent others from being deceived.
There are so many other nicer, kinder, and more ethical banks to work with. Please be careful, everyone.
Bait and switch maneuver
We avoid altogether the branch manager Theresa Wittau at the Glenview office at 1441 Waukegan Rd. She is wholly incompetent and often lacks basic bank policy understanding.
