Subject: Damage/Missing shipment claim not honored

Dear Sir/Madam,

This complaint is in regard to tracking number: 1ZW890A70330241649. The shipment is damaged and contents missing, but the UPS shipper (Chris Medrano) denied the claim for no apparent reason.

The sequence of events are as follows:

Date: 05/31/2022

My son shipped the package from above mentioned UPS store. The package is two keys of my home in Santa Clara. My son asked which envelope to use. UPS personnel asked him to buy the envelope from their UPS store. The UPS personnel ship the package in envelope bought from UPS store. The receipt is attached in Appendix 1.

Date: 06/02/2022

The shipped envelope was damaged, and keys (content) were missing. Picture attached in Appendix 2.

Date: 06/03/2022

The damaged envelope was picked up by UPS person. Damage tag attached in appendix 3.

Date: 06/08/2022

After talking to claims department, UPS claims center suggested to go to UPS store and fill and signed the claim form. The claim form is signed by me. Attached in Appendix 5.

Date: 06/16/2022

I got a letter that UPS store person (Chris Medrano) asked the UPS claims center to not honor the claim for apparently no reason. And UPS store paid nothing to us.

Desired Outcome:

I should be honored for replacement cost of keys (shipment) plus shipment cost. The total cost is $189.30 ($175 for replacement of keys + $14.30 shipment cost). The replacement cost statement is attached in Appendix 7.
