Hi Good Morning:

My name is Anna Gonzalez I am writing with a high concern and frustration on my own behalf towards the department of labor disability office in new jersey. I went for surgery on August 30,2023. I filed the claim on September 1st with the agency electronically and submitted all required documentation. Doctor office submitted all documents and so did my employer. I called every week just to check if something was done, each and every time the wait was over an hour which is ridiculous being that I do work for customer service and if I let that happen in my department I would be fired today without a job. But that is besides the point. Each time I have called the office despite the large amount of time waisted waiting hurting on pain from surgery, I got nothing I have to wait is what they kept telling me. Time is 4-5 weeks for the application to be reviewed. Now, today on the 6th week im at work still no pay bills behind pilling up, head of household, I call and still the people are not helping resolve anything. On Friday I spoke with a person whom I couldn’t even understand he either had me on speaker or something was wrong with the connection making it almost impossible for me to decipher what he was saying. So when I asked if he had me on speaker the conversation all of a sudden got clearer, me understanding that he said I was “missing” stuff and my application is under review on the 6th week. I am in disbelief and In disgust on how this has been approached. I recall disability taking a good percentage from every single check of mines without a hesitation. I cannot believe this is happening to me. I cant get to speak to anyone after an hour on hold, and when I do they give me wrong information misleading information. So today I spoke with someone by the name of Samantha claim number 390085 which actually was competent enough to help me and look through my file and what not giving me some kind of information. I explained over and over I sent my documents via online on the dol website and why am I being asked for things ive already submitted, she said that what was missing from Dr was a license number which I called dr office and asked them to submit it and they resubmitted it clarifying they initially Included that number as the person in charge of doing that part has been doing the same thing for years now again misleading Information. That is causing a hinder in my way of living and mental stability. I want to file a complaint against this office for misleading and not treating people correctly. What steps are to follow and whom do I speak with what to do?

Please and Thank you!

Respectfully,

Anna Gonzalez

Desired outcome: to get some fair hearing and paid for what i am owed
