Harvey's College Wizard website claims to help students improve their SAT scores, but my experience with his lessons was a complete waste of time and money. Harvey's only advice was to practice SAT questions and use gimmicky tips like "picking the shortest answer." His Skype lessons were unreliable, and he constantly disconnected. During the lessons, he only went over my wrong answers and waited for me to fix them on my own. Under Harvey's guidance, I was advised not to guess and skip the questions I did not know, which resulted in a low score of 1830.

I decided to stop going to Harvey for lessons and instead self-study. I found that self-studying was much more effective than his lessons. In the end, I scored a 33 on the ACT and 2110 on the SAT without his help. Harvey's lessons were a complete waste of money.

After posting my negative review, Harvey responded by trying to make it seem like a success story. He even blamed my internet connection for the disconnections during our Skype lessons. I found this response to be unprofessional and insincere. Harvey should provide evidence for his claims, such as his statement that students get answers wrong "over 90% of the time" when they guess. He also claimed to be able to read students' minds to determine if they were guessing or calculating an incorrect answer.

Another issue I had with Harvey's lessons was his lack of professionalism. He wore a dirty white T-shirt during our lessons, which was unappealing and unprofessional.

Overall, I would not recommend Harvey's College Wizard website to anyone. Self-studying is a much better option than wasting money on his lessons. I hope that more parents do not fall for his gimmicks and instead choose a more effective method of improving their child's SAT scores.
