This is a pyramid scheme! I wasted almost three hours of my life listening to a load! Not to mention, this was a "friend" of my sisters! Why would I pay $2200 for discounts? Where would the discount be? What REALLY got me was when the guy said, "Don't tell your husband about it. Nothing. He will make an opinion based on what you say, not me." and, "We need to get this thing going NOW!" Why the urgency? I'm not shopping today, so I'm not concerned with the discount right now. OH, I see, it's because someone else will get in "over" me and take my potential earnings. Whatever! Don't be fooled by this scam! In the '80's there were many pyramid schemes that were facing criminal charges. No thanks, I'm nit gonna rush in and pay to be investigated later!

@Rodney,

I already explained all you need to know (in my last response) about getting me to stop responding to you... Once I see the cheaper "Elizabeth King Bedding Set" example from you, I will shut up for good and your argument wins hands down. I'm waiting...

@Rodney

"you do understand that this original thread is about a ripoff complaint regarding Team National?"

-Oh wow I had now clue, thanks for the info! I mean I did see that this sight is called "complaintsboard.com" but I guess I just wasn't able to put 2 & 2 together :-)

Now where is your cheaper "Elizabeth King Bedding Set"? I'm still waiting...

How about answering my questions to support your position? Or do you still have a position? You said yourself that more people are going to be reading it now because of all the responses... Don't you want people to see or understand your side of the argument?

"I am happy with my position letting people know this is a scam."

-But apparently not "happy" or confident enough to explain anything accurate about Team National or list examples of how I was wrong.

"But thanks for pushing this up the search engines"

-No need to thank me... It's my argument that people are going to learn from. At least they will be better informed.

Sonny07, you do understand that this original thread is about a ripoff complaint regarding Team National? By responding to it daily you keep pushing this discussion up the google search. For that we thank you, as more people can see the complaint and the following discussion. I am happy with my position letting people know this is a scam.

But thanks for pushing this up the search engines.

Avoid this MLM/pyramid scheme. Keep your money and shop merchants that you know and that are reputable. Avoid Team National.

This is a designer bed set... And since you earlier mentioned that $300 was a decent price for a bed set you won't be able to call this "cheap furniture" either... With this example I will guarantee (again) that you won't be able to find another one (brand new of course) online or anywhere for anything close to this price by Team National... If your next response is anything but an example of a cheaper bed then you will be the laughing stock of this thread... However if you do find a cheaper example I will remain quiet and stop posting on this forum for good...Keep in mind that so far you weren't able to find not even one item cheaper or even the same price as any of my Team National examples as of yet despite your multiple statements of "thinking you could". So here we go!
Elizabeth King Bedding Set:
-MSRP: $1, 438.21
-Team National Price: $576.28 (price includes $1.00 for freight cost)
-Amazon.com price $999.00 (free shipping)
-Coleman furniture price $999.00 (free shipping)
You save $422.72 as a Team National member. If you can explain to me how saving four hundred bucks on a single purchase is somehow a "rip off" then you win this discussion hands down :-)

Another Rodney Tames statement I'm going to put to rest...
"Your examples of cheap furniture prove nothing because of the high costs involved, "

-Cheap furniture? You apparently know nothing about furniture (or math) but I will post another comparison just for kicks... This Comparison will be Team National vs. your favorite online savings store (that you keep talking about) "amazon.com". GET READY!

If I am already getting 22% off my Verizon bill, will I also receive an additional 15% as shown in the savings guide? I really do want answers to my questions, since the person who showed this to us will be contacting us soon for our decision!

@Rodney,

I will take this time to respond to the post that you desperately had to "borrow" from somebody else since you ran out of substance.

" BBB top listing. Means nothing. The local and national BBB's are supported by dues from businesses that join."

-Source? If what you’re saying is true then why doesn't your logic/theory explain how Companies that DO pay for memberships have low ratings? Everybody knows there is a fee to be part of the BBB that is not news to anybody.

"Its not a pyramid scheme. Yes it is. Do you recruit members that you then benefit from their activity?"

-Recruiting members while benefiting from their activity also describes the entire real estate, and automobile market platforms... Is a real estate and car sale also a "pyramid scheme"? Based off of this "broad requirement" almost anything could fall into that category. Why are you so afraid to use the very definition of pyramid scheme and describe specifically how it relates to this topic?

"Big savings, get your initial fee back quickly on the savings! - Well, not really. If you are bad at math"
-I have provided multiple examples that do just that. Try again

"You will get rich. NO you won’t. "

-That I agree with in most cases... I have met a few people that did become rich by doing this full time. However in most cases people just save a lot of money as I described in my posts above.

"They use religion when it suits the selling situation"

-That is a lie... Nowhere in the selling material do they push religion on anybody. Just mentioning that it's a "Christian based" Company (in the description) doesn't qualify as "selling".

"Avoid the books and seminars as well. Only TN profits."

-Wrong, many of the books that are plugged have nothing to even do with Team National... Example: they always plug the book "thinking big “by David J. Schwartz. He is not a TN member and TN profits in no way for plugging his book. Try again...

"Work Harder. Prospect more! Don't waste your time. This is a flawed model only geared for the people at the top"

-How is this "flawed" model? Please elaborate... It is also the exact same model used in every traditional business (for sales) so that people at the top (and the salesman) of any Company can make a profit.

"It legal! Well sort of."

-Not sort if... It is because it's a proven business model. The Direct selling industry takes in a total (net profit) of 178 billion a year according to the DSA. Over 70 billion goes to everyday marketers (not the Companies). This means that over 200 million a day is paid out to network marketers. You tell me what other business (that you don't consider a "pyramid scheme") brings in that kind of profit?

"Come on folks. Wise up here and don't lose you hard earned money and damage your relationships"

-I refer you to my many examples above that display multiple examples of saving hard earned money :-)

I borrowed this from another poster here but it is right on the money with Team National:

Of course it is a scam. Lets address the main points of the supporters.

1) BBB top listing. Means nothing. The local and national BBB's are supported by dues from businesses that join. These businesses are then given very easy and broad ways to keep the top rating by basically just responding to a complaint. The BBB is private organization supported by its paying members. The BBB is not a kind benevolent outfit looking out for consumers. They are a business supported by the dues paying members. Get it?

2) Its not a pyramid scheme. Yes it is. Do you recruit members that you then benefit from their activity? If the answer is yes it is a pyramid scheme. It may be just on the fine edge of legal but it is still what we call a pyramid scheme.

3) Big savings, get your initial fee back quickly on the savings! - Well, not really. If you are bad at math maybe. Can you make sense of buying $8 toothpaste (that is normally $3) at a BIGTN/Walmart website and get fifty cents back. It is all squishy math and moving target savings at best. Big purchases are even more dicey. Think Direct Buy scam.

4) You will get rich. NO you wont. You will spend $2200 buy lots of products that you pay too much for, get small checks every so often, irritate all of your friend and family, sign two or three people up, then quit in 3 years.

5) This is a Christian run outfit. No they are not. They use religion when it suits the selling situation.

6) Attend the convention! It will help you become a better team member! NO it wont. It will put more of your hard earned cash in TN's pockets. Avoid the books and seminars as well. Only TN profits.

7) Work Harder. Prospect more! Don't waste your time. This is a flawed model only geared for the people at the top. The pyramid scheme buyers club concept is an old war horse the MLM game. No amount of work will do the trick. After you exhaust all of your friends, family, co-workers, etc.. you are at the end of the road.

8) It legal! Well sort of. Selling week old bread is too but I don't want to start a business doing it. The MLM is always by its nature at the knife edge of the law. It may be legal but its still wrong, unethical, slimy, etc..

Come on folks. Wise up here and don't lose you hard earned money and damage your relationships. Good Luck to you!

Also I have already demonstrated how your past "saving examples" (to refute my examples) were misleading before... You’re obviously going to question the legitimacy of my snap shot images (again, sigh) while at the same time citing some made up or misleading research (with no proof) just like you did last time... Thus continuing a circle jerk of misinformation that is now on “auto repeat mode” which will pro-long this discussion with repeated generic “pyramid scheme” assertions.

@Rodney,
I keep getting notifications that you're responding to my posts but not seeing any of them on the feed here... So I obviously haven't seen your responses yet but I will say that unless your responses specifically articulate the definition of a pyramid scheme and the connection to Team National then your responses aren’t going to be helpful to this discussion.

Avoid Team National as it is a pyramid scheme. The only people making any money are the top tier folks. They sell a $2200 membership that offers a worthless or near worthless product like a dubious buyers club. Avoid this scam.

Yes, Sonny I would rather shop at legitimate stores and websites.

Team National has no connection with these "real" businesses other than "affiliate marketing" programs which anybody can do with almost any website. You sure don't need to get ripped offed by Team National.

Sonny, you do understand that you keep bumping this up in the search engines. Thanks! People can find out what a scam TN is. Your screaming that it isn't a pyramid scheme just affirms that it is! for that, we thank you!

Why would anyone pay $2200 + other BS fees for this scam? You can find BETTER products and pricing on the internet and your local merchants all day long. Your examples of cheap furniture prove nothing because of the high costs involved, and the unsavory reputation of TN type scams. Think Direct Buy another buyers club scam.

Like I said in many past posts TN is a scammy pyramid scheme that only takes your money. Avoid the Team National scam and keep your money, friends, and family.

Sonny07, you do understand that no one other than us is looking at this post right? I only post to get the word out about MLM scam and scammers.

Your catalog says the price is $1479.50. Where does the almost $300 difference come from? Is that freight? Also, you picked out a random massage chair. I can find for cheaper or more expensive. How can you try out the chair before you order? Can you return and get ALL of your money back? Do you have to pay freight both ways? Or just back? I would NEVER buy anything to sit in or sleep on or walk on without trying it out. How can we do this with Team National?

-Amazon price is 1, 758.00 (free shipping)

This time I even posted a screen shot of the “free shipping” image from my TN page as evidence that there are zero additional fees or charges to the shipping.
-In this example you save $921.60 with a Team National membership. That is more than enough (in this single purchase) to cover a 2 year membership of 795.00!

I see now that my last response to Rodney again failed to get posted here (making it 4 times that he has been let him off the hook). So let's just do a quick review of where we are now in this discussion... Rodney Tames started off (and still is) calling TN a "pyramid scheme" without having any supporting evidence to justify this assumption. So I repeatedly asked him to elaborate on what a "pyramid scheme" is and how that relates to Team National... A fair question I think (and one that NEEDS to be answered if you want to have a real discussion about this topic) since it is the premise of his entire argument... However despite multiple attempts (from me asking) Rodney has failed to answer anything about his "assumptions" and just keeps repeating the same regurgitated talking points over and over again (like a 5 year old) in a desperate attempt to smear a Company that he knows nothing about...

So then after not answering his pyramid scheme rhetoric he starts making more accusations. In a recent retort he stated that Team National supporters never give specific examples of the saving's. So after several attempts (with "complaintsboard.com" not posting many of them) I finally got through with 3 specific examples of Team National saving's! Those three random examples that I presented couldn't be found cheaper anywhere... So Rodney then tried to find them cheaper and couldn't even come close... However he was so desperate to bash this Company that he "claimed" to find (2 of my 3) examples at cheaper prices from amazon.com... He didn't say he could find a cheaper price on my bed example because he simply couldn't find anything remotely close or similar in price so he brushed it off as “discontinued furniture” even though it can easily be found (at multiple different outlets) using a basic google search...

In my below follow on posts I'm going to (again) give picture examples of Rodney's misleading and fake claims of what he said were cheaper prices than Team National examples... You be the judge :-)

There is usually a "freight" charge no matter where you buy furniture (or any other large items) from online... If there isn’t any freight cost then it’s probably already added to the overall price…To suggest that a freight charge is a "scam" is ridicules... I guess Amazon must be a scam too since they also charge freight fees no?

"There are no savings by paying $800-$220 to join and then pay all of the other hidden fees and monthly this and that."

-Please elaborate on the “hidden fees and monthly this and that" part of your (weak) rebuttal. I wouldn't want other readers to think you are misleading them with another weak, unfounded assumption...

"Your examples are just that, examples of what?"

-For people that don't understand math and common sense so well, my examples showed how you can save back more your entire investment (on a two year membership) with a single purchase.

"I belong to some great savings clubs. Amazon, Ebay, Macy's, Wal-Mart, Zappos, my local merchants, and this neat thing called Google. I can find almost anything I have every dreamed of and compare prices"

-If this is true then why weren't you able to find a cheaper bar unit, Guamuchil King Platform Bed and Simmons Sebring sectional leather sofa than the examples I posted from Team National? You said yourself that you have all these "tools" to save the same amount of money but yet you still WEREN'T ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING CHEAPER! Instead of admitting that TN has the cheaper prices (compared to the examples that you researched yourself) you then desperately resort to throwing around more and more unfounded assumptions about so called "hidden fees" (that you somehow can't find any find proof of) for the reason that my items were so much cheaper than your examples... Really? GTFOH! What if I was to suggest that all of your examples (from amazon) also had "hidden fees" so none of your examples count either? LMFAO I could do the same lazy ### that you [censored] did but you but I chose substance over unfounded assumptions... Rodney Tames, You not only owe TN an apology you owe the rest of the readers an apology for having to dumb themselves down by reading your uneducated, stupid rants (and unfounded assumptions) )that actually end up making Team National look like an even better deal :-)

There are no savings by paying $800-$220 to join and then pay all of the other hidden fees and monthly this and that. Your examples are just that, examples of what? Because the TN website says so? I don't believe they pay freight and tax on the furniture items. My SIL confirmed that and she is sucked into this scam. wouldn't believe TN if they told me the sun comes up in the east.

I belong to some great savings clubs. Amazon, Ebay, Macy's, Wal-Mart, Zappos, my local merchants, and this neat thing called Google. I can find almost anything I have every dreamed of and compare prices and selection when I want without paying anyone upfront for anything.

"I don't see where TN saves anyone any money in the real world. You haven't proven anything."

-Except for the fact that you could save an entire 2 year membership (from the examples I have shown) back on a single purchase... Does that not count?

"Yeah, I want to pay into TN, thousands of dollars so I may save $100 on discontinued furniture, Good choice."

-Every example I have shown had more than 100 dollars savings from the best deals you could find.. Also TN doesn't cost thousands of dollars if you don't want to purchase a lifetime membership. Try again :-)

"Most sane people wouldn't trust a pyramid scheme like TN."

"Sonny07 it is still a pyramid scheme that will save you no money."

-What? That doesn't even make sense man... But at least you are admitting that TN saves you money now! We already went over the definition of pyramid scheme and I presented indisputable evidence of the contrary.

"Your examples prove nothing (IE: don't believe them, not clear on freight and other hidden costs which are common with buyers club scams), "

-How do they prove nothing? I couldn't have been more specific (with screen shot examples!) LMFAO.. All of the "hidden costs" that you describe are all explained on the order form whenever you order an item. The prices I dispayed (on the screen shots) were the final price with everything included.

"My examples show how quick and easy it is to find these products at better prices when all things are figured in."

-Wait!? What? No your examples were all wrong and misleading... It's not my fault that "complaints board.com" hasn't posted all of my other responses (hopefully they will soon!) that refute all of your examples... I posted more responses hours ago with more screen shot examples that display in inaccuracy of your examples... TN still has the (by far) lower price in every example that you (google searched).

"No one needs TN to save them money. TN only takes your money."

-Ummm not according to facts and your own examples... No worries it's a math and logic thing that's way over your head.

"Sorry your are wrapped up in a pyramid scheme"

-There you go with the labeling and accusation thing again... Just because you say something over and over again doesn't make it true... You havn't even been able to define pyramid scheme yet but you're sure it is one RLMAO

Sonny07 it is still a pyramid scheme that will save you no money.

Your examples prove nothing (IE: don't believe them, not clear on freight and other hidden costs which are common with buyers club scams), I don't need to buy into a scam MLM buyers club to maybe/maybe not save on some discontinued furniture. My examples show how quick and easy it is to find these products at better prices when all things are figured in.

No one needs TN to save them money. TN only takes your money.

"The above pricing exercise that I outlined above is exactly what we have gone through with my SIL over the last few months."

-Then you need to do a lot more homework and research... You have yet to show me an example where you could find something cheaper (or similarly priced) at another outlet...

"She is totally convinced this buyer club scam works no matter how many times we prove to her the pricing doesn't hold up to very basic Google searches on products."

-My three (random) TN examples; more than held up to any of your "Google bargain shopping". In two of my three examples you would have saved more than enough (vs. the bargains you found) to purchase a two year membership.

"I will hold off on the TN car discount fiasco she tried on us for a later time"

-She probably doesn't know how to explain it properly or use the TN "web car search" the correct way... When I used it I saved 4 grand on a 2015 Chevy Traverse. So I am willing to have that conversation with you anytime!

"I am sure Sonny07 will have excuses but my quick (I spent like 5 minutes or less getting these Amazon and internet prices) honest search was pretty telling."

-The facts I have presented to correct your sloppy (5 min research) are not "excuses"... They are simply facts that happen to be detrimental to your entire argument. BTW it didn’t take me very long to find all of your mistakes either... All I had to do is spend an additional 20 seconds or so on each item by actually reading the description of each example you found. Not a hard thing to do :-) Like I said I do appreciate being questioned about these discounts because then I have another platform to make my case even stronger. So please keep the critical reviews coming. I am more than ready to correct anymore false assumptions.

Correciton to my example for the "simmons sebring sectional"

My price example (from Team National) doesn't include the "swivel recliner" so the total price (from your example) is actually $, 2432.76. Meaning you would have only saved $814.66 with TN! More than enough to pay for a $795.00 two year membership :-)

@Rodney tames

"The Cherry bar is available on Amazon for $694 with shipping and tax included, and has a bracket foot brass rail at the bottom. By Coaster furniture. The Amazon model looks to be a step up from the one you pictured."

-Really? the amazon price is actually $776.20 (down from the stores normal price of $1, 599.00). So not only is your price wrong but you would still would still save $163.20 through Team National! That is still a pretty big savings for a single purchase under 800 dollars. Also the unit I pictured DOES have the brass foot bar. It's sticking out behind the bar (in the picture) and also mentioned (as included) in my product description. But nice catch and good attention to detail!

Hey in all seriousness I'm actually glad that you're questioning my examples and I do want to thank you for taking the time to do some homework. This is exactly what I did before I decided to start using my membership because I was just as critical as you are now... But after doing the same research that you did I came to the obvious conclusion (as you are right now) that TN has the best deals.

@Rodney tames
"simmons sebring sectional $920.20 with FREE shipping on Amazon.
search "simmons sebring living room set" in Amazon."

-You couldn't be more wrong...But thank you for responding with this example because it actually helps my case. The price you saw listed on amazon was just a portion of the living room set NOT the whole thing as you suggest... You should have probably clicked on the actual item and got the details first before you posted this example. If you would have clicked on the item it would have directed you to figstores.com (where the couch is actually sold from not amazon) where it breaks down the actual pricing like this.
-Simmons Sebring Bonded Leather Double Motion Sofa 50325-68 Sebring Coffeebean- $964.41
-Simmons Sebring Bonded Leather Double Motion Console Loveseat 50325-63 Sebring Coffeebean -$878.15
-Simmons Sebring Bonded Leather Wedge 50325-07 Sebring Coffeebean-$590.40
-Simmons Sebring Bonded Leather Swivel Glider Recliner 50325-19 Sebring Coffeebean-$597.36
-So the real total pricing from your example: $3, 030.32!
Given your own example of the best deal you could find online. You would still save $1, 412.22 with Team National and gotten the entire set with free shipping and delivery (like all of our furniture items).

The above pricing exercise that I outlined above is exactly what we have gone through with my SIL over the last few months. She is totally convinced this buyer club scam works no matter how many times we prove to her the pricing doesn't hold up to very basic google searches on products. (I will hold off on the TN car discount fiasco she tried on us for a later time)

I am sure Sonny07 will have excuses but my quick (I spent like 5 minutes or less getting these Amazon and internet prices) honest search was pretty telling. I think I could have found this entry level furniture even less expensive if I wanted to search deeper.

Just avoid Team National and save your money, as they will not save you any only take it from you.

Just another MLM pyramid scheme. Avoid.

Found all three items on Amazon.

simmons sebring sectional $920.20 with FREE shipping on Amazon.
search "simmons sebring living room set" in Amazon.

The king bed was harder to find, but found one Amazon for $1078. Found many wood beds all over the internet from $399 to $$$$. I will give you this one. saved $200 on an off brand bed. Virtually unheard of brand not carried by any reputable stores the best I can see.

The Cherry bar is available on Amazon for $694 with shipping and tax included, and has a bracket foot brass rail at the bottom. By Coaster furniture. The Amazon model looks to be a step up from the one you pictured.

So if you bought all three items from TN you would pay $3034.90 plus tax and SHIPPING on the sectional and bar. (I would estimate you will add another $300 for shipping)

If you bought these items on Amazon or searched the net you pay $2692.20 ALL shipping included as well as tax.

This really proves my point about TN. The savings are dubious at best and mostly non existent. Surely not worth paying more than pocket change for a membership. The corner stone for a pyramid scheme. Sell a worthless or near worthless product to satisfy the legal challenges and then work the membership. It is all about the memberships. Its a pyramid scheme.

@ Rodney tames,

"So you are a pied piper of FREE information on Team National? BS, you were soliciting people to contact you. It is in your own post. Give us a break."

-You don't know anything about me or what I do, you need to get over yourself princess... Nor do you get to decide or label what it is that I'm doing when you aren't knowledgeable enough to challenge anything I have stated... It's NOT "soliciting" to simply get the truth out genius... Especially when the topic of this discussion was already TN (before I ever commented) and all I did was offer honest information (which you weren't able to challenge BTW) for ANYBODY THAT IS ALREADY INTERESTED lol. Get your facts straight... My "free information" is nothing more than a link for them to follow and learn more about the Company to counter any misinformation posted by ignorant "low information" trolls like yourself...

"Again, the more you MLM zealots say it isn't a pyramid scheme the more we all know it is."

-Define "MLM zealots"? Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump both support this kind of business and have even written book about it... Are they both "MLM zealots" as well that know nothing about business? Boy if only they knew as much about business as you do! lol Last I checked Warren Buffett even owns a Network Marketing company called "Pampered Chef" and I heard (not sure if it's true) he even tried to purchase Team National once... Do these men know nothing about business and can simply be brushed off as "MLM zealots"? I will let the readers decide since you don't have the brain capacity to comprehend basic facts and piece together accurate information.

"One of the strongest tenets of MLM's is fighting the dreaded pyramid scheme label. You seem obsessed with that, which really tells us you are quite involved with I am guessing several MLM's or past MLM's."

-I haven't had to "fight" any labels here... All I did was simply go through the TN application to correct your (many) false statements and assumptions... Here's an idea for you... Next time you plan on "obsessively" devoting this much time on bashing a Company, how about knowing something (at lease one damn thing) about the Company first... Again you know nothing about me or Team National... Your rants are still nothing but vague, uneducated assumptions with no specific facts anywhere... Every time you have attempted to state facts I was able to shut you down with nothing more than the TN application (which you never read) and basic knowledge of the Company.

In all seriousness this has probably been one of the easiest arguments I have ever had about anything EVER... You are making this way to easy for me... In my last 3 responses I have asked you to elaborate on your "pyramid scheme" label since its also the premise of your entire argument... So far you have yet to define "pyramid scheme" and show that correlation to the Team National business; but still keep insisting that TN is such a scheme anyway... I guess you want everyone to believe you simply because you think you're smart or something IDK? Anyway I will do it for you.

Pyramid Scheme definition from wikipedia: "A pyramid scheme is an unsustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment."
-There are many such definitions of "pyramid scheme" however they all mean basically the same thing which his why I used this very basic example... As I have already showed, nothing in this definition is anything similar to what Team National offers... We offer many different services and products that do not involve enrolling anybody else to join to take advantage of these services (as I have done myself). Now that we have compared Team National (to the definition) of a pyramid scheme and have conclusive evidence (all stated in the TN application) that it isn't anything close to a pyramid scheme what other arguments do you have left? Besides complaining that I keep defending the company from ignorant remarks that have no factual basis... Thanks for not answering any of my questions in my last response and having the most uncompelling argument/rant I have ever seen.
