I hired Synapse India to create a website for me. I used one of these freelance / outsourcing websites to find them. The project was not cheap - several thousand dollars. There were many issues with this company. There were massive delays completing milestones. They also did not do anything according to the specification document. The entire site was buggy and not functioning at all. Every time I asked them to see the completion of the milestones, they pointed to computer code that I couldn't understand (I am not a programmer) and forced me to continue paying assuring me that the site would be ready. After months of this, I finally decided to quit and they didn't return any of my money. I also did not have a functioning website. I spoke to everyone at the company including the CEO to no avail. I wanted to build out a website for cheap and the price this Indian outsourcer looked so good that I fell for it. There is a reason why the services offered is so cheap versus U.S. developers. This was the worst experience of my life and will never work with this company again, and I hope by writing this review, others will not fall into the same trap. This company reached out to me via Twitter at @sajivsynapse. I discussed what I wanted and was quoted $500. After I gave that amount I was then asked to pay another 70 and then after I paid that another 50. Basically I had to pay for a fillable theme for them to upload onto my website.
Because I was being proactive and my product was not coming out for another two months, I asked for a coming soon page in the colors white black and gold with graphics. I was told that I would get it but when the webpage was created it was blank black and white. At mediately sent email once again complaining about the amount of money and misquoting and the product. I was ignored because conveniently the day that they sent the webpage it with Indian festival for five days. So I created my own website for a coming soon page and he looked 10 times better. Took me four hours.
After my complaint, it seemed that they wanted to hurry up and do the work. Only problem is, as I had told him before, I did not have the product so I do not have images. I told him it will be another few weeks before I could give it to him even though I had already paid in full. I didn't need anything from him except more time and I would give him the information and pictures.
He emailed me so much it was harassment I asked him twice not to email me again until I was ready to do business. Once again he emailed me trying to rush. I then said I did not want to do business with him because of the misquoting, the product I received, and the customer service. They refused my refund. I took to social media to's tale about my bat review with the company. They offered me $100 refund. I thought that was absurd because they did no work. The next day, I got an email from a personal account [protected]@gmail.com threatening me to keep quiet about my experience or he would mess up my business. I continue to tell people about my experience with him. The day after that, he sent me an email with two links to two webpages that had stolen pictures from my personal Facebook and "reviews" from my product about people hurting themselves and breaking their ankles. This was all a lie because I have not even sold any product. My product is not even ready. Immediately after sending me the email with two links, he sent me another email from the professional account as if nothing happened asking when we would continue the work.

Synapse India is a terrible company when it comes to providing quality services to it's clients. We had outsourced a project to them worth $8, 000 (considering their reputation on Elance) but that proved to be a big mistake in our decision making. Not only did they took all the money but also contacted my client directly for the business (which was clearly a breach of our contract). 2. You go to the company give interview or anything spend time there and catch any of employee going out of company than ask him. (you should have good judgement power of differentiating b/w employee and manager) of course manager will tell you that this company is very good! please join and don't surprise if they succeed to change your mind to join SynapseIndia. Asking to any employee inside company and to manager is useless. Then every employee will tell you real face of this company. The owner has got some pets like Paritosh Agrawal . The owner has ruined the life of his pets too. I am sure if owner kicks off any of them then nobody in Delhi/NCR is going to hire them.
3. they will say you on joining time we take security checks they are just for security purpose nothing happens, you may even close the account. Once they get the checks they can bounce it anytime and can do case on you this is their main source of income. You are completely bounded now and you have to work whole day and late till night (10:30/11:30/anytime). The area where company is located is very sick you may get some bandits on road in want of your costly mobile phone. many employees has lost especially ladies. Shamit started doing harassment of employees through Paritosh, Paritosh did for this many times he has been in jail. Shamit throws money over police and everbody knows 1police wala == 100 rs. :) . Paritosh got good defamation in market ( he will not get job of 1 rupee in any other company). By the time Shamit recognized the real talent of paritosh (making fool of others, and his flattering qualities) and opted his to do all the illegal work like physical/ mental harassment (Now shamit goes safe) . Shamit khemka killed all of his skills, now he knows paritosh has nothing to get job in market and still on good salary. Thought its the time he will do anything for me. I had join Synapse India 0n dated 18th Oct 2010 on the many calls.
First time, I told to them I can’t join the company on the basis of bond and cheque. But they had continued to call me for joining. I had clearly told to HR who had processed my joining, sign on bond and cheque that I have not balance in my account. They have told to me that there will nothing will happen, why are you thinking negative. You should thing positive. There are many employees working with this company as you will also work.
But nothing was going happen well with me.
After joining, they have assigned the work on PHP application (WHOSIN). They have asked to understand the application within 2 days. They had not provided any document of application and more time. After 2 day’s they asked to work on application to resolve the issues and bugs. They assigned the bugs and issues on daily basis. I need to report daily on the end of day.
My project manager was PARITOSH AGRAWAL.
When I was reported the resolve issues and bugs, they claim to me due to your work other bugs are generated. But it was not true; there were already many bugs available in the application. They always asked to resolve the bugs then go to leave office. They was creating work overload every day and ask to continue after end of working hour. I was always working 10 to 11 hrs every day due to this situation.
I asked many time about document of application. They had never provided to me.
My project manager was Paritosh Agrawal. Many times I was asked about document form my project manager. But always they had ignored. After working 10-11 hrs they always ask to come in my chamber (room) without my team leader (Kuldeep Chauhan) and start to touchier. They behaved like collage ranging with his co-worker and demoralize to me. They had started this behavior on daily basis. Due to this behavior I was going to frustrated and my health was going to down. I had complained to HR during a meeting but they have not taken any action and ignored.
Due to this unhealthy behavior I had asked for relieving. But they not provided to me. They were reminded and threatened me about bond. They were continuing touchier and abusing with me.
They had not paid my salary of 14 working days. I had asked to hr and account manager then they was say, your project manager (Paritosh Agarwal) had told to not pay his salary. I was bothering, because I was leaving in Delhi on rent. After this happening I was continue on my job. I had waiting for my salary 14 days. But I never got any positive response.
Due to above behavior I was suffers many times with illness during working period. Now I was suffering with illness. Lastly I was resigned my job.

I and several others have recently had nightmarish experiences with Synapseindia, which we hired through Elance. In less than one day, I have discovered five others with nearly identical experiences to mine who are willing to do whatever it takes to bring this situation to light. We feel Elance has facilitated fraud pertaining to this service provider and we are paying serious price for it. Collectively, we can prove the following:
--Elance facilitated fraud by allowing Synapseindia to manipulate its customer feedback system. Of 207 recent clients and 47 reviews, only ONE is negative about this company. However, three out of the 6 people involved in this complaint, including myself, were not allowed to leave feedback about this company when we attempted to do so, even though we were well within the 60-day timeframe required by Elance. In each case, it was discovered that Synapseindia falsely changed the completion date for each project to prevent feedback. I managed to have Elance correct this mistake only after innumerable phone calls and emails. Further, out of 10 people I contacted, not one was actually satisfied with their service. Nine of these people have agreed to allow their names be used in this complaint.
--Elance allowed Synapseindia to mispresent its technical skills. All of us can clearly prove that Synapseindia was lacking the ability to complete our projects, depsite the fact that they claimed expertise and had more high scores on more skills tests than virtually any other Elance service provider. Furthermore, this company continually made innumerable, blatant mistakes and attempted to charge each of us to correct to them.
Elance claims it has a neutral, non-responsible role in connecting employers with service providers. The structure of their service, however, is far from neutral. I and 3 others of the people I spoke with are paying serious financial consequences for our decisions to use this service. If you choose to use them anyway, be very careful!

In response to my earlier post on September 18th.
The Elance issue was resolved to my satisfaction.
I persisted and after a long hard battle i finally got my review changed and Provider agreed to refund some money.
Elance actually called my house on a Sunday to apologize about the ratings mishap.
So at this point provider JessiHoffman and myself are on speaking terms again and i hold no ill will towards her.
My advise…contracts! and be vigilant with what you want and expect…annd be clear…very clear and don’t be afraid to pause or stop a project if you think or feel something is not right.
Elance doesn’t have the best people at their first level…but when escalated there will be someone to listen. But getting there can be a long process. Persistence can pay off.

I have just been informed by a 3rd party (who fully disclosed he was a 3rd party) that elance released my transaction history!
This 3rd party is not a registered user of elacne, there was no subpoena, no warrant and no request from any law enforcement agency but this 3rd party was able to send several well crated emails to elance inquiring about my account, acting as a 3rd party and was able to get access to my transactional history.
Be warned of elance they do NOT protect your privacy.
They will release your personal data and release your financial records to anyone...

Hi SHIKHA it's shameful that you would try to defame an organization that has 50 women and ladies working without a single incident for 10 years with such incorrect and maligning statements. Any one can call us in recrtuiments or HR (all ladies) and check on the reality of this statement and the fact that SHIKHA couldn't perform so has to resort to such tactics to purge herself. Scam artists
We paid tens of thousands of dollars for them to build an e-commerce site. Then invested several more thousands of dollars in order for them to fix their own mistakes (ranging from spelling errors to hundreds of coding errors). After they failed to complete everything months after the deadline, we left a negative review on another site. They called and threatened us. We did not take off the review so they hacked into our site and shut it down on one of the busiest days of the year for us. Thankfully the hosting company traced the attack back to them so we can take legal action. The most incompetent and unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. Will never outsource again. I cannot believe that a "Microsoft Certified Partner" would ever behave like this or be this incompetent.
The company says to attend the training and update myself. I attend to my wishes.
Its horrible how can they behave like this. I will never gonna join this company in my lif time...but m bit confused these ppl belong to good previous co. records and have good degrees then whats the need of doing such things?

We hired this company to build an e-commerce website. Spent thousands of dollars more than we were originally quoted, because we paid for them to fix their own mistakes. After they did not complete the job in the allotted time frame, we wrote a poor review. They then called to threaten and proceeded to hack into our website to shut it down. Very professional behavior from a "Microsoft Certified Partner". Thankfully the security logs at the hosting company have traced it back to them, so we will be continuing with legal action. The worst experience I have ever had dealing with a business in my life. Lesson learned on outsourcing. They lack the technical knowledge and command of the English language to properly put together a well functioning website. Simple words on the site were misspelled horribly. They are a complete ripoff. I cannot believe a "reputable" business would take such actions.

Lack Knowledge, Horrible Service, Shut Down Website to do Harm
The worst mistake we have ever made. Found them on elance. Paid them thousands of dollars to fix mistakes that were theirs to begin with. Did not accomplish job in the allotted time frame. Made up lies and excuses. Lack technical knowledge and even command of the English language to spell things correctly on our website. After we wrote a bad review, the hacked into our website and shut it down. Hosting company has filed FTC complaint, and authorities have been informed in the case. How professional from a "Microsoft Certified" partner. They are scam artists. Lesson learned.. Never outsourcing again.

Earlier I thing, I am alone to compliant about the company but there is queue for completing about Synapse India. Really I have never seen worst company like this .They harass me and make my life hell. So please don't join the company. I was worked here for 6 months and get worst experience of my life .Even they have not given me experienced letter and salary .
Synapse India is THE WORST Indian outsourcing company EVER. They had the highest revenue numbers on Elance at the time so I expected they would be the most accredited, accomplished, intelligent and professional provider. I WAS SO WRONG for making that assumption.
My project was for $10, 000. Synapse India fought me tooth and nail on every tiny detail stating it requires more 'efforts'. You really need to have a detailed project scope laid out because the programmers do not have brains, style or taste to think for themselves.
My project was supposed to take 6 months. IT TOOK 1 YEAR AND A HALF! Elance was also the culprit in this.
Elance forces you to leave feedback after a job WAS SUPPOSED to end; not when it ACTUALLY ends. Therefore, here I am, 9 months out, I can't leave feedback against Synapse India - the worst offshore development company on the planet - since they were STILL working on the project! What was I going to say - 1 star, job not completed, low-quality work. while they were still working on it? They threatened that if I left such feedback, I would not receive my site and be out $10, 000.
There were also constant stops and starts as they dictate when the want to work and when they don't.
Synapse India is the worst company in the world. Their developers are idiot robots that only know how to do what they're told, not think for themselves. Management is exploitative and pathetic pieces of ###. You get blackmailed at ever turn. You have no control or legal action in the case that disputes arise because you would have to fly out to India to prosecute them in India courts. Synapse India controls the milestones - DON'T LET THEM! They will make the milestones favorable to them, not you.
BOTTOM LINE: DON'T SELECT SYNAPSE INDIA. DON'T WORK WITH THEM. THEY ARE THE LOWEST FORMS OF LIFE ON THIS PLANET.

I was working in synapseindia [synapse india] before some time, now i left the comay, this is one of the wrost company in my life, whenever i left a compant it cleard my all old balance, give me my full salary, releving letter and best wishes wo, but this is a company who give the salary after the one month of joining of new company when you sent a mail from that company.. if you think then its very bad for an ex-employee who served a company more then 1.2.3...years, this wrost company also ask you for these details when you are going to leave it:
1- Which company you are going to join
2- If you open the name then it issue you a black list companies where you can not join [this list also has the name of company that you are going to join]
3- not give you releving letter and experince letter at the time of leaving just give you a bonafide certificate [very high rule as much not still adoped by IBM, Microsoft etc companies ]
4- They will put you on hold more then 30 days with out reason [just watching how eary your new company tell you please do not join, just a policy to play with the future of a employee who search this company more then years]
5- when you are finlaly going to left this company then give him all the details like your home address, perment address, phone number, your reletives address etc[like you are going to announce TADIPAR]
6-Now from new company you send him mail that you joined, then they will call to Hr of that company and god nows what they said [as after that my company kicked out me, now I am job less due to bad policy of SynapseIndia].
7- Then you start calling and mailling to release my salary, its totaly depend on the company that they will give you salary of one-two months or not.
So, before going to join this bad company think two times, even 10 times, as now this company may be No.1 in client satisfaction but there is not employee satisfaction, even they will not allow you to take good breath after leavng the company.
In my ten years career i have not seen this type of terrerost company.

This is the worst company i have ever seen in my life. I have worked over there for 3.6 years with proper resignation process and submitting my notice period i have resigned from this company but they didn't give my experience letter and relieving letter. When i asked them why you are not providing me my experience documents then the HR team said either you have to share us complete details of the company where you are going to join or we will not give you the letter. When i told HR team that i am not joining any company and getting married so not planning for new job then HR team totally refused to give my document and the reason was " Ghar pe rahoge toh letter ki kya jarurat hai" now after 2 years i am asking them to give my document because i have to join a company and again they are creating problem by asking complete details about the company where i am going to join and other details. Not a single time they agreed to give my documents. this type of harassment they are doing with a girl who worked for 3.6 years in their company so imagine what the hell they do with boys.. Please dont join this company and save your future.

Guys...No need to worry now. I am the recent victim of SynapseIndia. This company is the worst company I have ever worked with in my whole life. First of all, its not even CMMi level 1, I don't know how did they get CMMi 3 certification (may be by money)...
I have resigned from the company and now they are threatening me of taking legal actions by sending notices. SynapseIndia sucks and lacks in different big things such as:
1.) Top seniors who don't even know how to work and behave. They shout like animals on innocent employees.
2.) No process of implementing projects. People are working under pressure and are scared of the management a lot.
3.) HR department too is fake and not ready to improve any of the policies.
4.) Third class training on general topics and no such investments for which they can claim for.
5.) Mental harassment by sending legal notices to its employees and forcing them to come and work.
6.) List of companies with which you can't work after resigning is fake too.
I would request all of the victims for whom such cases are going on to come and file a case against this company, SynapseIndia.
No need to pay any bond amount. Please come together and close this company forever to save everyone.
Even I would take my salary back from them.

This is a Worst company i have everseen and some of the friends who were ex-employee of this company told me that they beat their employees by local Gundas who were for them officially and one of the above paragraph mentioned clearly that they beat employees if they left the company because face loss.
