Could not be happier with the work done. Glen made many suggestions to improve the quality of the house after being restrung, and did not charge an additional dime for the extra work he suggested. Plus they patch the holes, all for the absolute lowest price. Sykes Electric has been very accommodating to any electrical changes I required. It seems that Sykes really wants to take care of its customers' future needs. Thanks Glen, I really appreciate how easy it is to work with you.

Great work I couldn't have been more pleased. From Lisa who provided the initial estimate and onto Kennedy and the other 3 electricians that did the work, I've nothing but good things to say about them all. I also spoke with Glen who made me feel very comfortable with their abilities to do the work, an all round good team at Sykes. The onsite electricians were very engaging and explained things very well. The work was done in a professional and timely fashion, upon completion they cleaned things up nicely. I highly recommend Sykes Electric and I would certainly call them again. Pat

Most if not all of the reviews here seem to pertain to removal of knob and tube wiring. If you're looking for a review of someone who used Sykes Electric to replace aluminum wiring you've finally found one. Lisa arrived just a day or two after a called to request a quote. She was very thorough and didn't rush. We had a crew of 5 (typically 4 but I believe they had a new apprentice starting that week). Justin and his team were terrific. Was impressed with how professional they were - they all knew what they were doing. Justin answered any questions and concerns that came up. They cleaned up at the end of each day. They were done in three and a half days... well actually three - one of them came back for a half day to finish off the patchwork on the walls on the fourth day. I think that actually says a lot about Sykes. At the end of day 3 the patchwork looked pretty good to me. How many other companies might have just ended the work then? But they had someone come back for a whole half day to make sure it was perfect. We painted last weekend and you absolutely cannot see where the holes were. I am very happy we chose Sykes Electric to do the work. Would highly recommend.

We phoned Sykes Electric to get an estimate on removing our Knob and Tubing wiring, We're both seniors and have been trying for the last two years to go away on a winter vacation, but now with Covid around we have had to canceled our vacation each year. I talked to my wife and we agreed that now that we have a little extra money we didn't use for vacation that we should look into getting the wiring in our house upgraded. I find that now a days it seems that the majority of company's out there are out for your money, and not there to provide good customer service. I looked up Sykes Electric and read the reviews that people had left. They seemed to be one of the better Electrical Company's out there. I phoned and got an estimate the next day from Lisa. I know a little bit about wiring and found that Lisa was very knowledgeable on explained everything to me so I could understand in laminae terms what she was talking about. I was told that it would be about a month before they could start, which is fine for us as we can't go anywhere with this Virus out there anyway. A month later she phoned and told me someone would be out to remove and upgrade the Knob and Tubing Wiring staring tomorrow. They sent a four man crew the next day and within a week they where done. All the men where very polite, courteous and their workmanship was above standard. Each day they would clean and vacuum up any mess they had left that day. Thank you to Glen and your Employees for a job well done. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I just found out that there's still a few company's out there that provide fair prices and great service. Sykes Electric is one of them. Gary

Sykes Electric provided fantastic service, rewiring all of our knob and tube wiring in three days as promised. They were courteous, efficient, and did a great job of patching each hole beautifully. They vacuumed at the end of each day and left lamps for us in the rooms without power during the work. Very professional and recommendable.

At an initial meeting with Glen Sykes about replacing my knob and tube I was impressed enough that I never got other quotes. Very glad I did too. Great crew. Polite, very skilled, and cleaned up every day. Any wall patches were done fast and extremely professionally. They were done in virtually 4 days! Highly recommend Glen Sykes and his great crew.

We had this company replace all the old knob and tube wiring in our 110-year old house. We got an estimate the day after we first called. Work was completed well within the time specified. The work crew of four was a model of teamwork and efficiency. The patching and sanding of access holes in walls and ceilings was superb, and completely ready for paint. Altogether a positive experience from beginning to the end. We can recommend Sykes Electric without any reservation!

The Sykes Electric crew just completed the upgrade to my electrical wiring by removing all of the knob and tube from my 100 year old home. I have to say it is the most positive experience I have had with tradesmen in the 47 years I have lived in the home. From my initial introduction to Glen to assess the job and give me a quote, to the expertise, courtesy and efficiency of his crew I couldn't have asked for better service or a better quality job. The price was reasonable, the entire job was completed in three days and the crew was particular with cleaning up after themselves. I would recommend them to anybody who needs this type of work done. Sykes Electric came out to replace the knob and tube wiring in our home just before the spring lockdown. Their work was organized and efficient and they made improvements to the functionality of our wiring that we would not have imagined. We have new outlets and switches so we are no longer fighting with extension cords and non-functioning light fixtures. Now that the weather has turned cold we are especially enjoying the new heater that they installed in our basement. The crew was punctual and did a tremendous job of cleaning up at the end of each day. We were very satisfied with the work done at the time but we are even happier now! Thank you to the entire crew!

Anyone looking for knob and tube removal NEEDS to hire Sykes. Not only are they extremely professional and punctual, they do an AMAZING job. They were able to get the entire house done (two stories) in two days! We were working with a very strict timeline. He was able to give us a quote the same day and squeezed us in his very busy schedule so we could have it done in time for our insurance. The work they did was absolutely phenomenal. Going into it we were expecting a decent amount of holes that needed to be patched, but they take care of repairing any holes they make (which are necessary to run the new wiring). We were extremely happy and surprised that there was only 3 places that had needed patching. And they already had it mudded, sanded, and ready for us to paint. IN ONLY TWO DAYS! They are also extremely affordable and easy to communicate with. We do reno houses and will definitely be using them again.
