Surplus Freight Furniturebait and switch

We paid for a couch, love seat, 2 end tables, a coffee table and 2 lamps. They were suppose to deliver it yesterday by 6pm. When I called the company to confirm the delivery yesterday they informed me that my couches were not there and that they were on a train somewhere in pennsylvania. and that they wouldn't be here until friday of the next week.

I told them that this was unexceptable and they said they could give me the floor model and have it delivered the next day by noon and throw in 2 free lamps. i agreed to this. they also said that if there was any damage to the couches that they would give us a full refund.

well once the couches were delivered i noticed each couch had several rips in the fabric and also the 2 free lamps where not included with the delivery. i called immediately to the store while the delivery guys were still here. and the store manager chris told me that i had refused the free lamps and i told him that was incorrect.

i then told him of the rips in the couches and he proceeded to tell me that i could have a new couch and loveseat once the other shipment comes in but he has no idea when that will be. i also inquired about the refund and he said we would have to pay to return the delivery and then wait for an undetermined time for the corporate office to send us a check in the mail..

so i asked for the corporate phone number and he said he didn't have it. i told him he had to give me the corporate number and that it was against policy to refuse so he gave me this number [protected]. he then said that once the new shipment came in he would give us a call which he knew not when that would be he estimated but did not know for sure a two week period.

he told us not to call him but that he would contact us when it came in. i want a full refund from these people. i tried calling the corporate number but it is just a voice mail recording that doesn't state whether or not it is surplus freight or not so i left a message on the accounts payable line in hopes to get a response. i have also done a bit of research online and apparently i am not alone in my complaint on this particular company.

i hope that you can help me and others like me. this company should be looked into for all the trouble they are causing several consumers over different states. please help me figure out what to do... thank you for your time.

    I am in 100% agreement with the complaint because I experienced even worse service from this company.
