I paid a deposit, because Jonathan gave a professional sales pitch. Painters turned up with no notice, while we on our way back from Ontario, then complained over the phone to me that they had no access to water, bathroom or electric. You didn't tell a start date. Guys worked for 2 days, left a mess...paint chips everywhere, paint stopped everywhere...on the grass, neighbors fence and on the garage light and on the garage roof. Neighbors very upset with the mess you left in their yard. Overpriced and very sloppy workmanship.

We had used student works painting for 2 buildings and we were quite satisfied. That was 2 years ago so we trusted them to paint our cottage. Their quality has severely diminished. We had to terminate the painting after 25% of the cottage had been done as our property value would have markedly decreased. Prep work (caulking and priming) was not done and the quality of what was completed was terrible. Very disappointed but I think others should not use this company as they seem to have lost their ideals. Really a shame!

Absolutely horrible. The worst quality interior painting job we have ever seen. The edging work was abysmal, paint on walls, paint on trim. Roller marks on the walls. Just a complete mess. We had no choice to hire a true professional painter to fix the mess left by Student Works painters. Stay clear.

Daniel and his team were amazing, professional, respectful and courteous. Our house was a beast, nothing had been touched on it for 25 years. Even with weather delays they were able to finish the project in the time estimated. I highly recommend Student Works Painters. I would give more stars if I could. Many Thanks

Student Works Painting did a marvelous job painting the exterior of our house. It wasn't easy, weather wasn't co-operative, but the crew persevered without complaint. I highly recommend Student Works. These University students were disciplined, energetic and devoted to the task at hand. Always easy to talk to. They were a pleasure to do business with from beginning to end.

I am extremely impressed with this company. I had my front steps painted early in May. It was my first encounter with the owner and crew and will certainly hire them for any other projects in the future. They are helpful, polite and always on time and Kennedy is meticulous in her communication skills. I am delighted to have made their acquaintance and have no hesitation in recommending them to one and all!

'Student Works Painters' painted the inside of our house and now it looks fabulous! It's great that you have a system, that helps teach the techniques to become better at our jobs. The work done for us was just as we had asked for. The 'students' were here on time, did an excellent job from start to finish. We would recommend this to all of our friends and anyone we just meet! I would use Student Works Painting again and not hesitate to recommend them. Liam was professional, courteous and made me comfortable right away that he and his team would do a good job in a timely manner and they did not disappoint. This job had some challenges which the team handled capably and cheerfully. So worth the five stars and knowing that there are business operators who still want to provide excellent customer service and a job well done.

Excellent work was carried out . . . student painters were well prepared, efficient, experienced; there were serious challenges because of the very steep-roof and all the painting involved working 15' or so up on all the upper-story window frames. These challenges were examined, figured out, and the steady work proceeded. The work was well done, neat, and clean-up and a walk-through were carried out. The painters were courteous and hard working. I couldn't have asked for more.

I was very impressed with the whole process from first meeting to the final job that Student Works finished for me yesterday, I was particularly impressed with the owner's presentation and his understanding of how he runs a business. I was really pleased with the students and their work and would recommend them to anyone to use when they have a need for painters. When I am finished with the outside and summer activities, I will use them for my interior painting as well when I am ready to have it done.

Faith N (franchisee) and Joseph were fantastic. We had an interior project done and these two did an awesome job. They worked so hard...hardly took a lunch and just small breaks. They were professional, kind, considerate and just nice people. Joseph was an absolute work horse, he didn't stop. Faith's eye for detail was on point. Gave me a few tips for future projects and took the time to show me techniques I can use. Made sure I was 100% satisfied before leaving. A great experience. I would hire them again to do anything around my house.

This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. I signed a contract with the manager, Hope D, in early May and made a deposit to paint the exterrior of my house. I was told I would be contacted mid June to set a date for the painting. June came and went and I made numerous phone calls and emails but were not answered. Finally in August I was told a painting crew would be on site in 1 week. Again no show and no call or email. After half dozen scheduled no shows the painting season ended and I was told the job could not be done this year! Thankfully I recieved a refund for my deposit. Needless to say This was a terrible experience and I DO NOT recommend this company.

About 4 years ago I hired Student Works to paint a part of my house. It was great! the painters were happy, fun, and always cleaned up every day. The franchisee was great at communicating and check regularly. So last year I hired them again. There was paint all over the outside furniture, decks, windows, railings, even the hose! They did only one coat and missed big areas, leaving the old colour. The trim work was pathetic, they painted over dirt and lifted paint, no scraping and sanding or power washing. they killed the grass and left their lunch garbage and never cleaned anything once. It will cost more to get the job fixed than their bill, and I have to replace all the stuff with paint on it. I got my money returned ***. Here's the deal, the students are Student Works franchisees. So which one you hire determines the paint job. If you pick a *** one, the management couldn't care less. *** Upper management won't even answer your calls/emails. *** If you want to hire a Student Works franchisee, ask for at least 4 referrals, and phone or go see them! They can be great painters at a good price, they can also be a nightmare that costs you time, money and aggravation. I won't be using them again.

The painters did most of the house, but when school started, they all disappeared, leaving our house with windows covered (for spray painting), part of the painting done, areas missing, gutters, window shutters, banding left unpainted, and around front door they slopped black paint on the wall. They also splattered paint spray all over the railing on the front stairs. They left their ladders here, and their paint spray machine, and now will no longer reply to emails. No phone calls from them, and no texts to my wife phone either. With Winter coming, we are worried they will not finish this, and our house looks terrible partly painted. Also having the windows covered for a month is really annoying. We need these ladders and gear off our property as well.

I met with Logan from Student Works Painting on April 27th, 2022 to talk about what we wanted done. We needed our front deck, septic tank cover, garden boxes, and back deck painted. Logan and I signed a contract, picked a color, and paid the deposit. Logan came back later to do some test patches, and we liked the color, so we told him to go ahead with it. It was a semi-transparent oil-based stain.

A month later, Logan and his team came to wash the deck and do some prep work, but we weren't home to verify what they did. They came back a few days later to do the front deck, septic tank lid, and some work in the backyard. We were happy with how it looked. However, they had trouble getting the stain to soak into the back deck, and it looked blotchy. We talked to Logan's worker Braeden, who agreed that it didn't look good. Logan came back for a final walk-through, but we pointed out things that weren't done, and he didn't try to make things better. He just stared at us.

Joanna wrote him a check, but she stopped payment on it after he left. Logan gave us the number of the stain supplier, and we called a lady named ***. She was very helpful and gave us some advice on how to finish the deck. We just want our deck finished, and once the work is complete, we will issue payment.
