I bought some curtains from Spotlightstores.com and they were supposed to be block out curtains. After 6 months, one of the fabric panels changed colour compared to the rest. It was clearly sun damaged! It seems that part of the fabric was not sun treated where the rest was. I contacted Spotlight twice before getting a reply requesting more info. I had to dig out receipts, photos, and proof of purchase, but they ignored me! I still haven't received a reply. This is the most unprofessional business in Australia. I would not recommend buying your curtains from there.

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Spotlightstores. I decided to order some made-to-measure curtains and blinds, but things just kept going wrong. First, the measurer had to come back and remeasure, which was a bit of a hassle. Then, when the curtain fitter came to install everything, they put the tracks in the wrong room and didn't bring enough fittings to finish the job. They promised to come back the next day, but I haven't seen or heard from them since.

To make matters worse, the manager at the Cairns location was incredibly rude and untruthful. And when I tried to contact the Spotlight Service Centre in Melbourne, they were no help at all. They never returned my messages, and I couldn't even get through to them directly - I had to leave a message and hope for the best.

It took a whopping 10.5 months to finally get all of my curtains and blinds installed, and now one of the blinds is faulty. I've tried calling and emailing Spotlight, but I haven't heard back from them at all. It's incredibly frustrating.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Spotlightstores to anyone. I've talked to some ex-staff members from different locations, and they all confirmed that this kind of thing is pretty common. Some of them even had to redo their own curtains and blinds after botched jobs from Spotlight. It's been over a year since I first walked into a Spotlight shop, and I still haven't received what I paid for. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

I went to Spotlightstores.com and purchased some curtain fabric from the Logan sale over the weekend. My friend and I were searching for the perfect fabric and we found it on a table marked '$15 clearance'. We were ecstatic and quickly chose the bolt of fabric we wanted. The table was quite long and had no dividers or signs to indicate that the clearance only applied to the first bay. There was no indication that the price would be different for the second bay. However, when we went to pay, we were charged $21 a metre. We were confused and asked why the price was different. The salesperson told us that the clearance only applied to the first bay of the table. We were disappointed and felt misled because there was no signage to indicate this.

I tried to challenge the salesperson about the misleading signage, but they were not helpful. They told me to read the price label, which was silly because the original swing tag is generally left on when an item is placed into clearance. The salesperson was curt and unhelpful, telling me that I had two options: leave the fabric or pay $21 a metre. I was frustrated because I believe that Australian Consumer Law has strict rules about misleading pricing.

After investigating, I found that Spotlightstores.com does not provide customers with specific avenues for making a complaint. This is terrible service and I am disappointed with my experience. I hope that Spotlightstores.com will improve their customer service and be more transparent about their pricing policies in the future.
