The thread of comments on this complaint are baffling.

To address the OP - Your speech is not free on a website run by another party. You can post your opinions, however deranged they may be, on your own website without consequence if you so choose.

I find it very disturbing to hear of anyone that would be proud of making any Military miserable. Our allegiance should lie with those that have put their lives on the line for us. I feel there's some inner lack of self esteem involved in disrespecting our Recon Marine. What have you done for your Country lately?

To the one who boasted of having ReconMarine removed: If SodaHead administration were given to supporting conservative causes and speakers, you would have been gone long before the lockout, ReconMarine would not have been gone, and the lockout would never have occurred--and certainly not without notice.

To everyone else here: I read what ReconMarine said, and found no fault with it. I am one of the few conservatives who developed any staying power--in fact, I was literally logged into SodaHead the very instant the lockout took effect.

The most charitable thing I can say about SodaHead is this: Mr. Jason Feffers and his moderators handed down arbitrary and capricious judgments all around. And I can think of no more arbitrary or capricious, or less appropiate or professional, thing to do, than to shut the site down as he did, with no notice, rendering millions of private messages inaccessible and cutting off relationships. In case anyone asks, I have no sympathy for him and plan not to support any of his future endeavors. So don't any of you say either I or any other friend of ReconMarine is in league with him, or ever was.

I suppose you were posting this to my fellow Marine, Recon Marine. I don't remember you from Sodahead so I suppose that Recon is the object of your vitriol. Why are you angry? We were all kicked off and I suppose you take great pride in having my friend Recon DA'd.

Well for your information I am building a website that will be better then Sodahead and where the military will be fully honored and respected and people like you will not be welcome.

With the demise of Sodahead it was to be expected that the conservatives who brought it down would have to find another site on which to and moan about how all the problems they've caused were "really" caused by the liberals. This was a site whose active members were at least 90% conservatives, and whose management was as conservative as its membership. Liberal members, especially articulate ones, were routinely deactivated while conservatives could openly post death threats, pornographic and harassing posts and any other violation of the so-called rules with impunity. It's a wonder that someone as openly hostile as a user called "Recon Marine" was finally booted, but it was likely all for show when 100 other users as bad as he was were left untouched. This was a guy who the entire site knew had never served in the U.S. Marines, and who many suspected was not even a United States citizen. The site will be missed, but sadly conservatives will always manage to find other venues for their hateful divisiveness.

Sodahead recently kicked off all the Members, Sodahead was a false oppinon site, but NOT in the way you portrayed it here, it was a bastion of conservative righ twing propaganda and with it's new course, it will become even worse

For an opinion site they really like to suppress any type of free speech. Find another opinion site that honors free speech.

Sodahead is most definitely a liberal site where conservatives are constantly attacked an derided by the sock accounts that are supported by the moderators who definitely have a political agenda to silence all dissenting views that conflict with their own liberal views . I was recently deactivated for no reason, I supposedly insulted a liberal sock who'd been deactivated but came back in another fake account . Do yourself a favor, don't ever sign up for sodahead, it is a drama filled joke, not an open opinion site like they claim it to be. I'm glad I'm done with it, what a waste of a lot of time, just to be humiliated constantly and having to constantly defend good people from attacks from liberal ###s.

I don't know who I am posting to here but thanks for everyone's support. Still standing strong for our military and especially the Marine Corps which I served in. It seems like many are more concerned about getting raves, scoring the coveted Guru status of Level 20, or trying to being No.1 - Top Dog on the Leaderboard then they are in sticking to principal and honoring and faithfully standing by their friends. But don't fall for Sodahead's orchestrated script by getting you to waste countless hundreds of hours trying to rack up points for Levels or a Top Leaderboard position! Your real family, relatives, and friends are far more valuable then neglecting them for a false sense of friendship on Sodahead. Real friends are far and few and when you find one stick by them and never forsake them. I stuck by Recon Marine and got booted. And so what if they want to boot me! To me, standing by a real friend is more important then some ego trip about my current Sodahead status is. The site mentioned, allows perverted thieving old biddies to run it. These old biddies pretend to have a life but their life is false and their life is nothing but, this pitiful site. This site has allowed me and others to be bullied since 2008. They deactivate good people, and allow the troublemakers to stay! What a Joke! ..Female Bullies run amuck and have blatantly said all they have to do is "talk sweet" with moderators and they can do whatever they want. These old biddies do the same with men on there, then blackmail them by eluding to the men that they will tell their wives and/or tell everyone on the site about their tryst. Anyone that believes one syllable these sloths say, are ignorant as can be. I'm glad to be off that disgusting evil site. I'll never go back. Tooo many backstabbers and white trash liars on there. No shortage of complaints about SodaHead on this site and elsewhere. A simple search for "SodaHead" on this site will be very informative.

Most of the complaints claim the site is anti-liberal, but recent evidence suggests they censor a broader variety of users than originally thought. Moderator impartiality (actually the lack of it) is a huge problem. Some users make a big investment of time, contributing vast amounts of material to the site, only to be arbitrarily "deactivated". The concept of SodaHead is great. But in reality, it's a poor investment of time. The best way to avoid censorship is to skip SodaHead altogether.

This is the site where you can vote on whether or not you like some celebrity's latest hair style. To expect more than that is asking too much. It used to be so much more than that, but now it's pretty much relegated to the Internet scrap heap.

As a Marine and Sodahead friend of Recon Marines I fully concur with his assessment. of how Sodahead has gone to the dogs. It is unfortunate that Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen can fight and die for our country but have absolutely no Freedom of Speech when they return home. The liberal, progressive, anti-war draft dodgers are now the ones who want to Sound Off!
