Hi Friends I feel my self sorry to inform all the victim of this company that they closed the operations 3 days before. They ran away will all the deposit money. According to RERA buyer should not give cheque in the name of real Estate that should be in the name of seller. The cheque can only encash at the time of deal completion. All the buyer and seller should consult the legal person prior to dealing with the companies like S & K or Smith and Ken. if somebody in US they can persue the case against Ben Smith in Los Angeles because now he is running the scam in USA

Smith and Ken are criminals. They are lazy bone idle inept crooks who do no work, lie, cheat and swindle tenants. I had the misfortune of becoming a tenant of theirs for a year and I will do my utmost to make sure that they never get any more business. As the regulators do nothing about these clowns, the only option is to spread the word about them. Avoid them like the plague!

Smith and Ken is also posting false advertisements of houses they do not currently have in order to get information on potential buyers. Eg: https://www.propertyfinder.ae/en/buy/villa-for-sale-dubai-arabian-ranches-3186572.html

Same thing happened with me.
They cashed the cheque from tenant and haven't paid me for last 7 months. I have lodged a complain against S&K to both Dubai Police and RERA. Lets hope there is some result!

Please avoid Smith & Ken, or S&K, at any cost. They are criminals. They will cash the cheque from the tenant and they won't pay the landlord (our rental is 6 months overdue even if the tenant paid all cheques - they are just keeping the money). They never answer phone calls, they never answer emails, they lie. We don't live in Dubai and made a very big mistake in going ahead with them. Now our only choice is to give up on the money that they owe us and that they cashed from the person living in our apartment, and change agent.

Fully agree as well. I rented an apartment in Dubai from Smith and Ken.
It's been four months that i moved out from this apartment and i will never see again my security deposit. They lied so many times. I even asked them to tell me the truth because we are adult... but know "i will check the the financial department" Bahh, i don't think it exist this service in their company.
I even sent an email through Linkedin to the CEO and no answer.
I'm still in contact with the landlord and he is still struggling to get his money from them also.

Fully agree. We bought a property thru them and due to our lack of experience we signed a very binding MoU that let them cash our commission at the very beginning of the deal. It was a painful and lengthy transfer. They didn`t know anything about the property and the landlord, they made us issue cheques to the wrong name, unit was kept on being advertised in web sites and also the ad boards were not removed several weeks after signing MoU. The only concern of S&K is to cash their commission cheque. I have heard that the original `SMITH & KEN` company was involved in many issues in the past and therefore their license has been cancelled by RERA therefore they established a new company called S&K, they still have brand rights but there is no real estate company called Smith&Ken as per Dubai Land Department anymore. Avoid and beware.

Smith and Ken have agreed to return my deposit, minus some fees. I feel the amount should be highly, but we both agreed on the amount so I will be considering this matter settled once the cheque is received in an hour

Today, Smith and Ken has agreed to settle this matter. They have agreed to return my deposit tomorrow at 9:30 am. The amount we agreed to had some deductions that I do not feel is entirely fair, but as we have both agreed to the amount, I will consider this matter settled if they bring the cheque tomorrow. I will not post any additional comments regarding this matter if they make good on their word

According to RERA, Smith and Ken's latest scam is over charging and false property details on the MOU. Square footage, property value, and seller's name and title deed information can be obtained at the Lands Department. People are realizing that Smith and Ken is setting up property scams using information obtained from people who were forced to leave the country during the 2008 crisis.

Susanne Adam, Rebecca Cooper, Jeremy Bentley, David Kodama are some of the names who continue to operate the Real Estate scam here in Dubai. If you have been approached by any of these names or anyone else who sales they work for Smith and Ken, contact the police right away. DO NOT BE SCAMMED BY THESE PEOPLE!

Susanne Adam from Smith and Ken is very angry today, not only because she notice that people are starting to unveil the secrets behind the Smith and Ken scam, but also because she found out that the UAE laws do not govern comments posted on the world wide web. The local municipal police have told her that they do not govern freedom of speech on websites supported by .com so these warnings will continue to be posted. As one of the agents included in the list of names who have advised me incorrectly and walked me into the company scam, her name and her contact details will continue to be posted as a warning to others who are conducting business with Smith and Ken. Don't get caught in Susanne's wed of lies. Luckily for Susanne, there is a way to make this go away. If the money she has stolen is returned, as per RERA's instructions, I will remove my posts. I have now posted warnings about the Smith and Ken's shady business practices on 12 public websites and will continue to post on more websites daily until my deposit is returned. In the end, this scam will cost the company more than they managed to steal from me if they continue to drag out the inevitable. DO NOT SUPPORT REAL ESTATE BROKERS WHO SCAM FROM HARD WORKING HONEST PEOPLE WHO COME TO DUBAI TO CONTRIBUTE TO IT'S GROWTH! the same thing happens with me when i visited their website and they told me the price of the property too high which i want to buy, but i got some doubt about their given prices and when i confirmed with others then i get the difference which is very clear and very big difference...thank you Abu Abdullah, but you are absolutely right they are scammers or nothing...

Google take some action on these spammers, this is really bad tactics.
