Scanlon Roofing and Construction review: Roofing repair

On 7-19-23 Paul Scanlon signed a contract with myself to repair a leak in my roof. He requested a $1600 deposit to start the job and purchase materials. Paul kept delaying the start and finally come two weeks later and said that the roof was in bad shape and if it leaked outside of where he repaired that he would be blamed. We decided not to work on the roof and he would return my deposit. After several lame excuses, He did not return the money and refused to return my calls. It has been three months and no word from him.
