I got a house at *** Dr
I got a house at *** Dr. Greenville SC, 29607. On Tuesday, Jan 18 2022 my property manager told me that the tenants had no heat at the house and Sanders Home Comfort Solutions was called out, and found that the gas furnace pressure switches were bad and replacement parts needed to be ordered. I said yes to the repair (estimate #***) and the part was planned to be replaced. On Monday January 24th I was told that Sanders HCS had sent an invoice for work done (Invoice #***) which included replacement of pressure switches as well as a gas valve that was found to be bad during the repair. Along with this invoice the additional findings were attached: - The zone control board was bad and required replacement - Both zone dampers were bad and required replacement - Both of the thermostats (ecobee3 purchased in 2016) were bad and required replacement, and they replaced one of them They attached a $1,854 work estimate (#***) for repairing the zone board and dampers. This seemed very suspicious to me that ALL of these things would have failed at the same time, so I asked for a second opinion from my trusted HVAC company. My HVAC company came out and let me know that (details in invoice #***): - There had been significant physical damage to the dampers - The whole system needed to be rewired due to the previous repair attempt - The downstairs thermostat was replaced with the wrong type AND wired incorrectly - The other thermostat was working fine After contacting Sanders HCS asking them to give back the removed thermostat, they admitted fault and purchased a new thermostat (same model). I want a refund for: - $584.20 (Invoice ***) I want compensation for: - $649.65 (***) Rewiring + (***) thermostat reinstallation - $1316.80 (***) Repairing damaged dampers - $791 Reimbursement for concession made to tenants for being displaced for 14 days without heat
