Sam's Club/AT&T review: iPhone 12 Pro purchase

On September 6th, I went into a Sam's store to an AT&T booth to purchase a cell phone as a birthday gift (iPhone 12 pro). birthdate was the 7th of September, I was informed by the representative that the phone could not be delivered on the 6th, nor the 7th, but by the 10th or no later than the 11th. having not received it on the 12th, I begin calling for assistance, to no avail...

I received two (2) emails, one suggested that I should receive the phone in mid-October. Shortly after that email I received (two or three days following), the second email suggested the phone would be delivered within the second week of November. At that point I expressed my disappointment "we're into almost another birthday period"... So, she was more hurt and disappointed. Now, on or about the 19h of October we received a phone, it was not the iPhone 12 Pro, but upon receipt it was an iPhone 13 Pro. I took the phone back to the store to make the exchange, only to be informed by the rep on duty that the iPhone 12 Pro was no longer available. Therefore, the discounts are as well. I suggested due to the confusion, miss-promises, timing and disappointments; since I have a phone, and from the experiences with the attempt to purchase a phone from from my carrier, AT&T, have been very hideous: do what's right...

- Keep the phone that I have with the same arrangements

- Finalize the wait time (to much time has transpired, unnecessarily)

- Consideration for major inconvenience

- Wrong orders

- Time invested, far exceeded the norm...

- Trips back and forth from home to store in an effort to reach a equitable

resolution

- Many calls to various company's entities, to no avail
