Root Insurance review: Refused to cover my claim

My vehicle had the catalytic converters cut off at the hospital while my gf was in labor with our newborn son. i made a police report, filed a claim and called toyota for a rough estimate. when the adjuster came with an offer it was 1/3 of toyotas estimate, minus the deductable-1/6! No way i could afford to supplement the rest of the cost. i took the vehicle to the dealership and had a estimate taken and sent it to the adjuster. we went rounds for days he upped it another 500 then another 500. were now at half the amount needed for the repair. their justification for rewarding a fraction of the value of insured parts was they factored in the betterment. i aked them to share with me this betterment formula that gave them the figures they were coming up with. they couldnt share the formula bc they dont have one. they made the whole thing up...what a joke. i need $3k to repair my vehicle and the longer it takes the harder it has to be on my truck.
