1/3/2023 My elderly mother (Margaret Able) purchased a Nissan Marano from the Rock Hill NIssan dealership in Rock Hill SC. She put a downpayment of $14,000 on the vehicle that she received due to an auto accident. She put down the large amount because she is on a fixed income and needed her payments to be affordable. After having the Marano for a week she realized that something was wrong with the car and it was drinking gas. She returned the vehicle and they put her into a smaller one ( Nissan Rouge) My mother was under the impression that the $14,000 down payment would transfer from the previous vehicle to the new one. Rock Hill Nissan told her that that money was gone and that nothing could be done. So not only is she out of $14,000 she is now the owner of a 40,000 vehicle. I have tried to talk to the manager Mr Bacon and also the manager in the finance department but I have not had any luck resolving this matter.
Desired outcome: My mom need her $14,000 either refunded or applied to the car that she has now.
