Road Scholar review: Do not trust the company hype.

In January 2026 my wife and I booked a trip with Road Scholarls to Costa Rica.

This first morning in the hotel, booked for us in Costa Rica by Road Scholar, theh room chair collapsed and tore my butt mucsel in half. I did not realize immediately how baddy I was injured. We made it to the tour bus and was immediately [censored]ed out by the tour guide for being a few minuets late. He refused to listen the why the delay or the nature of my injury. He could care less. Road Scholar refused to obtain medical care for me or make provisions for my injury; not even a stop at a pharmacy for pain medication. This was definatly the trip from hell. Road Scholar hype was all [censored] when it came down to actually living up to the hype.
If you go with Road Scholar just hope nothing goes wrong, because you are on your own for any medical emergency. They might stop the bus long enough to let you off on the side of the road. No, I am wrong, our tour guide would make you jumb off the bus.
