Refund for subscription
I was approached by a well dressed African American man who was selling Magazine subscriptions for a"second chance" in life. I felt sorry for him so I purchased some. I decided to cancel the next evening and I followed the directions from the reciept. They cashed my check the next day. I never recieved the refund nor did I recieve the subscrpition. It has now been 7 months. I have called them regarding. They told me to send in the second copy that I recieved. I did so, However I kept a copy and sent certified mail. It has been an additional 45 days. No answer on the phone, no reply to my emails or messages. I have googled company and I have found numerous people with same complaint. Please let me know if I can provide any additional info to catch these preditors. Here is the website that I found other complaints

I was scammed out of $50 for Wired Magazine, never recieved subscription. Calling their office gets nowhere...
I did however do a WHOIS Lookup on the website stricklybusiness1.com, and it revealed that Lucius Pierce, the owner, is living at 2707 taylorcrest, missouri city, TX 77459. Also his cell phone is +1.[protected] Good Luck!
Wait one precious minute! Is strictly business cleaning up its act?
Here is my story. November 6th, 2012. It is a pleasant Tuesday afternoon in North Texas. I am excited about our country and the fantastic leadership and the positive direction we are going and hope to continue to go as a democracy. A young man is dressed modestly knocking on my door trying to sell magazines. I had no plans to buy any magazines that day but I chose to listen. He is very up front about his ambitions and shares a bit if his history of troubles he has had in the past. He is very optimistic and I am hopeful @ this point in the conversation that he is telling the truth. I pray a lot and I believe in people regardless of the book cover. I believed in this man and what he had to say. I was also very comfortable with the price of a two year subscription of two very good magazines: Reader's Digest and Taste of Home for a little over $100.00.
Well, he was patient with me waiting outside the door, as I called the company, and spoke to a gentleman and we got the finances taken care of over the telephone.
Second thoughts! I got a bad case of second thoughts and began to have a gut feeling I was being ripped off! It was Thursday, two days later when I began to research my decision and I went all the way with it calling my credit card company to put a stop on the purchase. Well, my defense mechanisms was don't get ripped off and my conscious was really getting the best of me.. The credit card company told me to call the company that handled the order and so I did. I left a message on the manager of the company's voice mail. I then prayed and my prayers were answered not the way you'd think! I received a call back from a man who was bitter but his bitterness had a message that I too had felt many times over my career. The message of doors being slammed in my face and the subsequent suppression from not being given an opportunity or worse given the opportunity and not the support of your peers. Regardless, my road to success has to be traveled on failure highway. I did not want to be part of that which I have been so many times victimized by. I wanted what this man wanted and I told him this deal is going through and when I start getting my magazines I am going to share this entire experience with others.
January is here and my prescription as promised is being delivered and I can not say enough about Strictlybusiness1. I hope that my story will give you hope but most of all I hope that you reach out more and more to people to feel the warmth and the joy of giving someone an opportunity to succeed, and it will come back to you. God Bless Wilson and Nigel for their honestly and integrity of holding up their end of the deal and may they remember to value each person they meet and continue the good work!
I also fell prey to this deceitful scam. I did receive a phone call from this RUDE, disgusting, unprofessional person from a number showing as [protected]. He actually hung up on me as his prfound arrogance and rude behavior made me threaten legal action. I placed an order with a young woman and my heartelt desire to help out someone who is attempting to get their life in order. TOTAL SCAM! I placed an order 2-23-11 and have yet to receive my order.

Real nice young Black man came to my door this afternoon. Stood back away from door when I answered. I did not let him in. Told me about magazines he was selling, how he gets points towards school and % of sales. He said they do not take donations. I am not usually a sucker, and this guy was really nice, so I bought. I had committed to buying and was writing the check. When he told me to make out the check to his name and NOT a business, I hesitated, but went ahead and finished out the transaction. I was busy when he caught me and he kept talking and talking, and finally I just wanted to get rid of him. I locked up to be on the safe side, and went back to my work. It was later that I realized I didn't get a receipt or any kind of proof of purchase with a number I could call. I kicked myself, got up here in the middle of the night and put a stop payment on the check. I don't know if this was a scam, but after reading these stories, probably so. This is what he told me to put on the check - his name-Joshua Cal, Strictly Business with #8121. He was not from Wichita, which should have given me another hint. Since it just happened today, I can't say that the magazine wouldn't have come through, but better safe than sorry.
I 'bought into' the sales pitch given to me yesterday (8/6/15); I felt like I wanted to help out the young man at my door. Bought a subscription to Boys Life, which was supposed to go to the local Homeless Shelter or youth program. Had second thoughts, did some checking online and found Strictly Business 1 to be a scam. I promptly put a stop payment on my check and sent an email to the address on my receipt, We'll see if I get any response.
OMG! I can't believe this. I've been scammed also. I ordered these magazines on 1/4/12 and haven't heard anything since. You try to put faith in giving to a great cause but stuff like this causes you to rethink that. I will never give to another door salesman. This is just terrible. How can I get my money refunded.
appalled
Reading this complaint just verifies I have also been scammed. That never occurred to me...too honest. NO more buying from salesmen at the door. I paid $65 for a 2 yr subscription to Readers Digest as a gift to my Mother and she has been waiting for it to arrive. There is no answer at the phone number on the receipt. How can people be such obvious crooks? Makes me ill!
The black man who came to the door had such a line and even recited from the Bible!
He will be dealt with!
I AM FLAT OUT APPAULED! What gives you the right to give out my current work number?! As you stated, I am a FORMER office manager! I have not worked for SB Magazines for almost 4 years and have never worked for Urban Success. I simply provided a phone number which can be found in a Google search. I'm not sure how you would feel if someone posted your contact information online if you're no longer associated with that business or organization. This just isn't right. Please cease and desist posting my information.

I too had placed an order in June 2011 for two subscriptions and have not received any magazines to date, given that it is now January 2012. I have tried calling several times with many times the phone not working, and just today being able to leave a message to a strange voice mail that asks for a bunch of informaiton, including the $ that were "invested." I didn't invest anything! I paid for subscriptions that I was supposed to have received!
It is organizations/people like this that claim they are doing things to better themselves, that then puts a very poor light on others, and turns us off from wanting to assist in any future requests.
