Savings Direct Club reviews and complaints

This person called to get me to join and I politely refused several times, but he continued to presure and I continued to refuse. Two months later I received my credit card statement, and there were charges for the membership to this Savings Direct Club. When I tried to call the number listed for this Club, I get a recording that the number is not a working number. How do you stop these people from doing these charges to our credit cards? And how do I get the charges taken off? I will not be so polite the next time someone like this calls. Please help me get these charges off my credit card! Thanks!

Savings Direct Club has your phone number from an On-line credit card purchase or a bought list. Please help us stop Savings Direct Club's Aggressive Telemarketing:

1) Register your phone number with https://www.donotcall.gov. It's a gov't agency, you pay for it, and it works.

2) After 31 days: File a complaint against Saving Direct Club every time they call you.

Caller-ID blocked call from "Becky" at Savings Direct Club. Said she was congratulating me on my excellent credit and then gave me the last four digits of my credit card number. I objected to her having that info and asked her to identify where her last name (she wouldn't give it), and where / from whom she received my credit card info. She said because of "privacy concerns" she could not give that info out. I told her that I was the holder of the card and that I, therefore, was entitled to have the info I asked for! I asked for her telephone number and address. She wouldn't give it. I asked her for her manager. She asked "Mike" to get on the phone, and I heard him yell at her in the background. When he got on the phone, I calmly asked him to provide me with his company's tel. # and address. He promptly hung up on me. Something should be done about this outfit.
