Power HRG window replacement estimate

yesterday a woman showed up at our door unscheduled to get us to schedule an appointment for a free estimate. when asked if the company had done any homes in our neighborhood, she said yes - lots when asked to know specifics she hemmed and hawed and then said her wifi wasn't working. an appointment was scheduled for 11am today but they didn't show up. we were not given a phone number to contact them and had to go to their website to call their corp office. the guy we talked to claimed they called 3 times to confirm - well, we answered the phone and after saying 'hello, hello, hello' heard a click on the line. the guy at corp office said they left a message, which was a lie. they did not. glad this happened as i can imagine the disaster doing business with them would have been.

Power HRG Poor Service

I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. A kid came to my door wearing a nice Power logo shirt and baseball cap, carrying a clipboard. He was very polite and made a good pitch. We set up the appointment for 9 am on Saturday for an estimate. I got 3 phone calls from Power to confirm. One was an automated call at 7:30 am. The estimator arrived 45 minutes late Saturday morning with no explanation. No call in advance that he wouldn't be on time. My wife said she smelled alcohol on the estimator's breath, which explained why he was chewing mints. After going through the house measuring my windows, he promised to leave a quote in our mailbox later in the day. We never got the quote. That being said, I greatly appreciate Power stopping by because it helped my wife and I decide to go with a local contractor who was far more professional and did a hell of a better job showing us windows. Power lost a $20k sale.

Power HRG Communication

We are not satisfied with the communication so far and the job has not been done yet. Tony Lupo showed us a great presentation and we signed a deal. Our requirements were not to start the job for two months, and see a sample of the staggered look which was on January 24th. Now Michael Costa comes to the house on February 11th and before even introducing himself he says he doesn't think he can do the job because they look like real logs. I Bryan Powers turned into a salesman and explained they're not real logs. Then he asked if I had attic space that he can check if there real logs. So he came inside and looked for himself, where he proceeded to go outside and make a phone call which then another gentlemen showed up. From the ground he went onto tell me the logs are screwed in every 16 inches with no plywood behind it. So i suggested he get a ladder and go up and look at the rotting area, in which he noticed the logs are not real. He measured the job, then i asked about the shutters and he said its on the same paperwork. Then i asked if he brought the sample of the staggered look siding and he said no, because nobody told him too. He told me to call Tony Lupo, which I replied for him to make the phone call. When he came inside he had no information on the color of the shutters we picked out. He said he would have to bring a tractor trailer to carry all the samples, had me sign a paper on how to prepare for the siding installation and would be coming to the house on February 27th. So i called Tony later that day and explained to him that the gentlemen didn't bring a sample and he was going to start on the 27th. He said he would get back to me on Monday February 13th, which I am still waiting for a phone call on February 16th. Tony Lupo told me to call Michael Costa and tell him we were going to be on vacation to move the date when he said in the beginning it wouldnt be a problem. My experience started off great though it was a great product. I though it would be different then our passed experience with contractors but so far it has not been. This is the only way of getting a hold of anyone, so please email me back at [protected]@aol.com and let me know how your going to make my experience different then using the local contractor thats half the price.
Sincerely,
Bryan Powers
