Timeshare
Norm King placed an ad on Kijji to rent his timeshares in Puerto Vallarta and other Mexican cities. He claims to have 28 timeshares and wants to rent the Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta, and or Puerto Vallarta $399 per week. He wants you to send him your credit card number or send money through Western Union, before he makes your reservation. I asked him for references or some way to check that his offer is valid, and then he dropped me like a hot potato. I didn't get sucked into his scam, and want to warn other vacationers. He said he lives in a condo he bought in Plaza Marina, Puerto Vallarta. He also told me he is from Vancouver. He claims to be a doctor. I phoned him in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at this number [protected] . His email address is [protected]@gmail.com.
The Kijji ad is "MAYAN PALACE DEAL$399/WeekCancun-PuertoVallarta-Mazatlan-Cabo"Ad on Kijiji.
I have many emails from him.

Mistaken Identity
There seems to be some confusion about which "Norm King" these Complaints are about. My Name is Norman King and I live in Surrey, British Columbia. I am the "REAL" Norman King and I have certainly never dealt with any of these people in the complaints. It seems the last name KING is quite common. There are over 3, 000 listed in the Vancouver area phone book alone. Let's try to get our facts straight here people because you are messing with people's professional reputations. You may be hurting completely innocent individuals like me. Please get your facts straight in the future. Cheers! and Good-Luck.

LCOttawa, thank you for this post about the Norm King in Puerto Vallarta. I am currently dealing with him and after reading this I am very leery. Did you ever get any satisfaction or your rental or your money? He has a different phone number and email, but basically the same story as you have said above. Is it possible to email me? Found a condo rental for Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta on Kijijji.
The price was too good to be true, but we were told that the father:Robert King was sick and they had decided to rent the condo as they could not go this winter.
We sent him a wire transfer close to $6, 000. He then send us an email asking for another wire transfer for the tax that he had orginally forgot to charge us.
as we started asking questions, about the reservation number and confirmation letter, all communication broke down. We tried calling and emailing on multiple occasions, and the number has been disconnected and no emails replies.
we have open a police report, which will be given to the RCMP in Ottawa.
He goes under multiple names:

In deference to the 3000 Norm Kings referenced by Norm King in his missive (actually15 N.Kings) we are focused on the fraudster Norm King aliases Norman Anthony King, Norman August Klause, google United States vs King 200F3d1207, King vs, ICBC, United States vs King 419F.3d1035. Currently he is on trial in two separate ongoing cases 1)Vancouver law court Feb. 1 @ 2:00 Room 53 for fraud over 5, 000 and false pretenses, and 2)Surrey court Oct. 15@9:30 Surrey court room 101 for assault and uttering threats. Google CSO/criminal for his court appearances. Mr. King I think the odds of there being another Norm King with such a colorful past being from British Columbia are very slim unlike you.

I booked a vacation with Norman and he never provided me reservation #'s, took $599 over western union and when I cancelled due to the extraordinarily long time between communications and confirmations, he took my $ and never got back in touch with me.
He additionally had another person taking money on his behalf through Pay Pal and that person told me on one email to "run!" and I filed a complaint with Pay Pal and got at least ONE of my payments back. But the two of them still owe me over $899 which they have not paid back, 2 months later.

Every excuse in the book why they could not confirm
I have, instead, hired an investigator in Mexico and in US/Canada to do some more digging for me. Unless I get my $ back, I will just keep this up.
I filed a complaint with the AG and CP.
My AG said they located his originating bank was tracked down and will likely file a fraud complaint with the financial institutions.
Western Union sent me a letter yesterday that they will investigate him as well.
Norman/Norm/Stan... fix it.
