Marquis Fulfillment Agency LLC Scam

A couple of nice college aged women came to the door in the spring and had magazine subscriptions or books to sell. They were very personable and were working to earn money for a summer softball tournament. I thought it was a little fishy but at the same time, I decided to have faith in the world and ordered a book that I thought sounded good, just a recipe book. Of course, the book never arrived and the check has been cashed. If they need it that badly, fine but I will NOT do that again. Having faith in the good of the world has gone out the window and unfortunately, honest people who do want me to buy something will no longer get my money. The receipt and order form looked very professional and on the "up and up" so beware - they are professionals!

It is terrible! A real nice guy (he told me he was 29) came to the door. He was selling magazines to help get money for his continuing education for his bachelor's degree...who wouldn't want to support that?!? He told me he was starting over in life, because he used to be a police officer in Ohio, but he got hurt and wanted to change careers...again, another good thing to support! We hit it off right away because I have family that live there. I wasn't going to buy at first, but it seemed so great that I was truly helping him. I only bought one magazine subscription (thank goodness not more!) and if getting scammed out of $49 wasn't bad enough, I have a sad little girl. You see, it was November when they came around, so I bought a cheerleading subscription for my 11 year old daughter to add to her presents for Christmas. The guy said if I hadn't received a magazine by then, to wrap up the receipt so the recipient would at least know it's coming. Well, of course it didn't come yet, so I put it in her stocking so she could anticipate it coming. She is now at the age where she is involved in dance & cheer, so she was so excited about it.
I forgot about it until the other day (when she reminded me) & I have been calling ever since and finally thought I would check things out. It's terrible that these rotten people are doing this to innocent people trying to help them. My husband told me not to do it, but of course, I didn't listen. I am a firm believer that "what comes around, goes around" ; and they will definitley get theirs', unfortunately, we just won't see it!

I was approached by 2 male students who claimed that they needed points for college. They were approaching people in Wal-Mart and I told them I was unemployed which did not phase them a bit. They took my only cash I had of $45.00 and even stated that there was an ATM at the front of the store. I told them that was not an option cause I had no money in my bank account. I felt like such an idiot when I walked out of Wal-mart with VERY little groceries for my family. The receipt I was given by these punks read the following: Prime Time Consulting, Inc. Clearing Business Through Marquis Fulfillment Agency, LLC, PO Box 2243, Buford, GA 30515. Customer Service #[protected], Email: customerservice@azuredp.com. The website www.acuredp.com is a parked domain, no website! If you are EVER approached by anyone with this company, do us all a favor and contact the authorities IMMEDIATELY. If they are driving a vehicle, PLEASE get their license plate number. Ask for identification, preferably a drivers license and write down the drivers license number and get these punks apprehended and charges filed against them for committing fraud and extortion. I will without a doubt file charges. Their faces are planted in my brain and I could identify them. For those of you smart folks, I'm glad you were able to stop your checks from being cashed. I cannot believe I was dumb enough to fall for this scam. I too was being kind hearted and felt good for doing a good deed but by the time I left Wal-Mart my gut feeling set in and it was too late. Those punks were long gone and so was my money. But what comes around, goes around and it will catch up with them sooner or later. I pray for continued love in my heart so I won't stress over this and leave it in God's hands.

I had a young man come to my door today who claimed to be a student from from mizzou and that he was on a soccer team that was going out of the country for a big game. Also, he told me that he was selling magazines for troops overseas for women and men. He was really sociable like the girls in your story and tried making me laugh..he wasn't dressed professional and did not act professional either and that to me set me off a little bit but then i got that out of my head because I wanted to hope for the best and help. When he told me how much the magazines were it came to be about 77 even. And I was surprised because the math didn't seem to add up but i went ahead and wrote a check. everything had told me not to do it but i did. I had a huge gut feeling something was wrong with this company and so i call my bank to ask and they told me they have received a lot of phone calls about magazine selling fraud and it was then i knew i was in trouble. I went to my bank and canceled my account that the check was written to that exact day and i opened a new one for free. They had no time to even cash it and I was thankful that I had gotten to it before they had. I wanted to make sure i wasn't being too paranoid so I looked the company's name on the receipt and what do you know.. it's a fraudulent company after all. I would say to anyone who has someone come to their door to say "no" you just can't trust anyone these days. sad but true.

I totally agree with your complaint. However in my case it was a young man very friendly and said it was for college and that he was very far from home. He said that he was from Idaho, I wondered what he was doing in my neighborhood all the way from Idaho. He explained that he and a few others were traveling together in a van and that the van was waiting for him to be done in our neighborhood and then they would go to another State to solicit sales. I believed him and made a ck for 96.00 for 3 magazines which I never received. I feel so stupid for believing him, now I will never by at the door AGAIN!

Marquis Fulfillment Agency LLC Non receipt of product or refund

On September 14 a young girl by the name of Tabitha came by selling magazines. She provided a form of identification (badge with photo) of which seemed legit. She informed me this was a fund raiser for a competitive volley ball team. She told me she was homeschooled when I questioned what school she attended. She further explained she lived around the corner with her grandmother. She was quite convincing esp. when she told me her father had passed and this is why she lived here. The story progresses; however, it's irrelevant to the fact that I wrote a check in the amount of $51.00 believing I was subscribing for an Elle Magazine and was basically was screwed by a kid!

I forgot all about it until I received an email from our neighborhood stating that some of my fellow neighbors have been scammed in a very similar manner. Yesterday I called the Customer Service number on my receipt and was told to leave a message due to high volume of calls. I called again today and received the same automated message. As a result, I decided to research the company on line and found this site.

I'm not sure what this complaint is going to do for me or anyone else who has been a victim of this scam, but I thought I'd share my story anyway.

two young men came to our home Aug. 13, 2011, very convincing talkers, saying they got points for a college trip to Spain by us donating money to buy poor children books. We fell for it hook, line and were we sunk. Then you have three days to cancel, but not by phone.
No answer on the phone. We called the police after we realized we were scamed and were advised to cancel the check and to change our checking account as the route number
could possibly be used. Hope this helps someone else. We lost our stop payment. Wish we would have checked on the enternet before we wrote the check.
Morgans, Harrison, Ohio Also heard the police chased them out of the town of Harrison. We hope to get this on our local TV news to warn others.
