I got sick and hospitalized and they stole over $1,000 worth of my belongings!
These crooks promised my belongings would be stored and safe when I was hospitalized. I am healthy enough to go get my stuff and they claim its all gone. WOW...thieves stole irreplaceable things I inherited from my uncle that was MIA from Vietnam for 40 years. They found his crash site and confirmed he was KIA. I cherished the coins and medals I inherited and kept them with me. I never thought I would get sick and end up in intensive care. I also have receipts and serial numbers for the electronics they allowed the driver that picked up my truck to steal. I reported everything stolen and still get nothing but excuses from this crappy company.
Don't know how to run the business
My complaint is about JS Helwig Son. I am very disappointed with that company. They absolutely don’t know how to run the business. They hired me and it was awful. They behaved like I am not a man but a thing. I want to get compensation. Don’t ever work for them.
Guess their shortcoming was hiring you. IF you WORK, you get great miles, a preplan before your next stop, are treated very well, enjoy an open door policy with Mr.Helwig, can change dispatchers if you want, very nice office staff with slim to none in turnover. So much more, but the key word is DRIVE like it's your bread and butter, not like some want to do. Great drivers lounge and showers. Open door policy for your pet and new dog park. Employees in office give out treats when your furry co driver comes in. Great BBQs with the best beef for all employees. Mr.Helwig listens, treats drivers with respect. Dispatchers UNDERSTAND DRIVING unlike other companies' dispatchers do not. THE BEST AND MOST AGREEABLE COMPANY my husband has worked for. He is not just another truck number. The pay is very nice, plus 1500 for referring a driver they hire. Big solid gold ring after 1st year for SAFETY. Beautiful ! The only thing I would change is to not be alone for 3 weeks. However, if a family emergency, your dispatcher gets you home quickly.
