I ordered a size 5 Ivy costume and received a size 0 initially. I asked to do a return so I could get the proper size. They charged my credit card a second time, and mailed me a new Ivy costume. When I received it, they had put the wrong costume in the Ivy packaging. I called in to do a return on that item as well, and sent them both back after getting my return number.
I called in after they had received the costumes, and was told it takes up to 10 days for my money to get back to me. I called 11 days later, and was told it takes an additional 10 days for the money to show up in my account. 11 days after THAT, I called back because I still hadn't gotten my money.
The rep I spoke to said she would e-mail her supervisor and that I would get my money by the end of the day. I did not. I called the next day and was told the same thing by a different rep. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back, and got in touch with a supervisor.
He told me he was looking at my order and was refunding the money as we spoke. He said his computer was being slow, and that he would call me back to let me know whether or not I could have a refund for my shipping costs as well.
27 days after I was promised the initial refund, and I have still gotten NOTHING.

I ordered a costume for my child for Halloween. When I opened the package I could tell immediately it was going to be too small. I ordered size 4-6 yrs. My daughter is 4 years old and wears a size 4. It looked like a size 2. I had her try it on anyway and it was indeed too small. I called to return the costume and was told I would be charged a 20% restocking fee. I asked to speak to a manager. After holding for more than 5 minutes I was told by the manager that they would absolutely not waive the "restocking" fee because it was a seasonal item. I told them that was ridiculous since it was being returned over a month before the holiday. I've ordered online many times and have never had an experience like this. Outrageous!
Avoid "BrandsonSale"! They are an online retailer who also sells on Ebay. I ordered a child's Princess Leia Halloween costume for my little girl and they sent me the wrong costume that was so huge it was big on me. After many attempts at contacting Brandsonsale and being on hold and never getting returned phone calls, I finally got ahold of a manager who said he "investigated" the matter and that I must be wrong. What an incredibly insulting response! I asked to speak to HIS supervisor and then he offered for me to have to buy a NEW costume, ship the old one back, and pay for new shipping for the new item, and then they'd see. Like I would risk giving them another dime! And pay shipping 3 times for their mistake!! I was insulted and aggravated and so mad I will never use them again. I will buy a correct costume from someone else, out of principal. I wished I'd researched their reputation before ordering -- seems like plenty of others have had the same experience with their shoddy business practices.
I ordered a tool belt and gardening gloves for my son from Brandsonsale.com. When the order arrived I received a train engineer costume and train engineer gloves. I immediately called Brandsonsale.com to tell them of the error. It was a Friday night and I feel like I spent the entire night explaining to these people what happened. They called back that night because they had "one more question". I returned their call but never got a response. So, Monday morning I called them again to get a special number to return these items. I was told I was expected to pay the shipping fees and I would be reimbursed. Also, the items I had originally ordered would not be sent to me until the WRONG ITEMS were returned. At this point I felt like I was the one who was at fault and had to remind them that THEY sent the wrong items. They could care less and told me that was their policy. So, I sent the items back (at my expense). The items were received at Brandsonsale.com on October 10, 2006. It is now the evening of October 17, 2006 and it has still not been credited to my account. Talk about great customer service. They claim to care about their customers and know that customers have a right to choose who they do business with. I recommend everyone to stay away from them. I did nothing wrong but have now been charged over $80 for two items which cost around $40. Plus, I have a feeling I will have to be the one to remind them to credit my account. The customer service people are not only idiots, they're rude people who don't understand how important it is to treat the customer with respect. Again, Brandsonsale.com. Not a good choice, and not really great prices either.
