The company was subcontracted by a contractor that was paid

The company was subcontracted by a contractor that was paid. He did not pay them. We had no contract with them yet they put a lien on our home. Simple Solutions was hired to do restoration on our home following flood damage. Simple solutions then hired R and S flooring to do the flooring repairs. We never signed any contract with R and S. They work as a subcontractor with simple solutions. Simple solutions was paid in full by our insurance company prior to the work being completed. Simple solutions never paid R and S for the work they did on our home. R and S, without contacting us once, then placed a lien on our home without any legal right to do so. No attempt was made to clarify this issue prior to doing so and they are attempting to hold us responsible for the contractors actions.
