In the fall of 1985, Quincy Jones was in charge of producing a music video for Michael Jackson: "The Way You Make Me Feel"

Jones told Annie Mesquitta-Jackson that his production company was hired by Michael Jackson to produce the music video. And he was supposed to give the model, Annie Jackson (aka Aaliyah) the logistics for the film shoot in 1987.

It was his first production, he said. So the model/actress, Annie Mesquitta-Jackson, of "The Cosby Show" fame was patient with Jones' two-year background check.

Jones said he had to do a thorough background check and did that for two years. He found out that Michael Jackson had married Annie Mesquitta and she was now Annie Jackson of "The Cosby Show"; the March 1983 Sports Illustrated cover girl with Paulina Porizkova's name on her work , and the Jordache Jeans fame with Brooke Shields claiming the title.

Jones told Annie that he didn't want Michael Jackson's wife on the video shoot to dictate what happened or to be bossy. So there was tension.

After much discussion, however, Jones confirmed that Annie Mesquitta-Jackson (Aaliyah) and her security detail could fly to New York, NY for the music video film shoot. Before, Annie exited JFK, she called Jones to check everything was okay for the shoot that week.

Jones confirmed that schedule. And he called the day of the shoot, but didn't call back with the address, nor the call time.

After Michael Jackson called his wife, Annie Mesquitta, he learned Jones did not give his wife detailed instructions to meet at the film site in Brooklyn, NY. Jones was given one year to reshoot the music video with Michael Jackson's wife as the featured model. Jones agreed to rectify that mistake. But still did not called Annie with the film shoot location nor the call time for the reshoot with the model on contract, Annie Mesquitta. Michael Jackson opted not to be in the music video without his wife, a model and actress of "The Cosby Show" fame.

Others were in charge of Michael Jackson's video and this promptee him to push for more control of his work. Michael Jackson then commissioned his wife to remake the video during the 25th anniversary special program and told her to use photos of thier marriage in the video.

Quincy Jones argued against that, saying there would be copyright infringement issues if the wife used his work.

As the contracted model, Annie Mesquitta, believed there's also the issue of reimbursement for the cost of transportation from Jamaica to New York, hotel accommodation, and incidentals such as payment for pre-production, production, post production, and wages for two 16-hour days of work.

Jones was sued. And he has yet to pay as agreed. Additionally, Annie Mesquitta-Jackson's Aaliyah Brand was stolen by Jones and his associates, who put Rashad Haughton as a security detail at the MTV Video vanguard award ceremony.

Therefore, Annie Mesquitta-Jackson (Aaliyah) would like reimbursements rrom Quincy Jones and all the incidentals that have occurred, plus the wages and other income stolen by Quincy Jones and his production crew.

Country of complaint: United States

Address: Quincy Jones Productions

Desired outcome: Aaliyah would like reimbursement from Quincy Jones Productions and all the incidentals that have occurred, plus the wages and other income stolen.
