Qatar Airways / Rwandair review: Travel

I booked a ticket on Qatar airways website (from Doha - Entebbe) booking reference: WOXF76 (Date: 2nd of December). The system automatically routed my booking to Rwandair. Leaving Doha, the flight was delayed by 30 minutes but I had been assured that our connecting flight (Kigali - Entebbe) would wait for us since there were many passengers on the flight from Doha. heading to Entebbe. The connecting flight was scheduled to leave at 8:00am. The connecting flight was changed to leave 30 minutes earlier, so by the time we landed it had already departed. We were told that the only option was for a flight at 1am. Amidst a lot of complaints and explaining to the supervisor that some of us needed to get back to work, he was also adamant that this was the only option available. At 5:00pm in the evening we got a phone call from the receptionist where we had been located telling us that the 1:00am flight had been cancelled and that we would be leaving at 10:00am the following day. What is frustrating about this experience is:

1. My choice was Qatar Airways. I never signed up for Rwandair.

2. If you decide to partner shouldn't you ensure that your partner is able to give the same level of service that your clients are used to?

3. The Rwandair Officials kept lying to us all the time. Conversations with other passengers revealed that this was continually happening on the Kigali - Entebbe route. It was clear that we were being taken for granted and no effort was being made to resolve the issue

4. Why not have the maturity to tell the truth so that a client can make an informed choice.

5. Whatever the business arrangement is with Qatar Airways, it is quite clear that Rwandair does not have the capacity in terms of planes and other resources required to handle the additional business that is being channeled its way.

6. The green washing is also a problem.

I have missed a critical work appointment and are likely to miss my nephew's wedding all because someone seated somewhere believes that they have the right to do as they please.
