Today, 05/29/2023 I cooked two cans of Tomato Basil Progresso Soup in my slow cooker. After eating at least one cans worth, I bite into what looks like a straight-up fingernail. I am constantly battling germaphobia, so in an effort to implement exposure therapy and conserve food with how expensive things are in this economy, I tell myself, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and set the piece aside in my crockpot lid.

Lo and behold, not two minutes later and I am biting down hard on something that sends a shooting pain as I have never felt straight from my molar to my brain. With an instant headache, I pull the even larger piece from my mouth and find it looks just like the other fingernail. Now, my tooth is aching and I am truly disgusted that some employee knew about this contamination in processing and did nothing (we all know when we have a fingernail snag). An entire batch of soup was probably infected by the dirt and feces that live under this person's fingernail/s. Plus, the idea of eating another human being's keratin made me sick to my stomach.

With half a mind to contact my godfather (a Washington state district court judge and former attorney) and seek legal proceedings because this could make someone really sick. I thought I would reach out here first so the company can make this right because I have never had tooth pain like this and I am planning on going to the dentist to find out why. I have also saved the soup in my freezer, the cans, and the contaminants that were found within it.

Desired outcome: I would like financial compensation for emotional and physical duress.
