Candy Tenon - the store employs kids. Kids need strict and fervent discipline or they will run riot. I'd rather go to a store with a manager who rules his employees under an iron fist, vs a store where the kids are making out with each other in the kitchen, sitting on the front counter, texting people on their phones and having food fights.
concerned employee - if you want to hit the silly cow where it hurts, just get a few of your mates to go through drive-thru on her shift and obstruct it for as long as possible. just sit there at the window arguing and holding up all the other cars, see the manager go crackers at all the 10 minute cars you're causing.

A fair point but the person who acknowledged you was probably stationed out back, or at worst, didn't know how to serve or use tills.

Just phone up the corporate office and threaten to report the store in question to the local health authority, that scares them way more than naming and shaming on a complaints forum.
Maybe it was replaced quickly because the dumb[censor] cashier gave you the wrong sandwich, and the correct one was already there sitting on the heat chute.

Regardless, if the cashier was lying, I doubt she's going to last much longer in the bizness.
Where I work, we've often stayed open up to 20 mins over our closing time due to a sudden build-up of cars 2 mins before close. Not doing so is rude and unprofessional and of course, invites complaints to our DM/SM/Corporate office from the likes of "Restaurant Invester" above.
But we all know the silly sod is going to go back and buy more junk fron the same joint anyway.

You don't seriously think any of that is left in such conditions when closed overnight, do you? Nothing wrong with complaining on the internet. Not everyone has the personality to just walk up to the store manager and start ranting. A lot of people don't complain at all and no-one, not least the burger joints, ever get to hear their story. With this site, complainers are letting out steam and also contributing to the thousands of other complaints here that make Burger King look ###.
Sure, the employees acted like [censored]heads but what do you expect? They're kids for god's sake. They do ### work for peanuts. If anything the manager on duty should have at least taken down her details and filed his own report.
As others have said, the Assistant Manager could not change the prices, hell, not even the Restaurant Manager can; most of the time, the prices on the tills are controlled from head office. Do you really expect low-level employees of a giant multi-national corporation to be able to change things like that at their will? Indeed, where I work, only three channels (1 music, 1 news and 1 sport) are available on our set top box. For all you know, this branch of McDonald's may have only had the one channel, who are you to accuse them of lying? You pompous ###.
