'Can I not sue for all that is happening?' is so typical of an American, you all will sue for anything i.e. heavy smokers suing tobacco companies for their cancer. RIDICULOUS! This is NOT Theft! Every Hotel the world over takes Credit Card Authorization, it is not the Hotel's fault if your Credit Card directly debits your checking account when authorization is taken. So, a mistake was obviously made, your Direct Bill was somehow over looked. I am sure the hotel has apologized, and has probably offered something for your inconvenience, but to call this a case of theft or a reason to sue is hilarious in it's stupidity. Talk to the hotel, they will no doubt release the hold on your card, and talk to your bank, and have them release the hold on your card. As for not giving the hotel the 'permission' to debit anything, obvioulsy you have never read the registration card you sign upon checking in to any hotel around the world. By signing, you are indeed giving the hotel the right to charge you for services received, so yes, if you use the minibar, they can charge you, if you watch a pay movie, yes they can charge you, do you get the picture?
This is a tough one! While the airlines are of course responsible, and you paid extra for the extra bags, it is most likely the thieving ground staff at the airports. This is rampant at many airports, especially lately at Rome airport where they say 1 in 10 bags gets stolen or broken into. That said, it could also have been that your bag was over packed, broke, and the ground staff wrapped what was left up. I had this happen on a flight a few months ago where my bag's zipper broke, and the airline in question 5BA) wrapped the bag. Luckily for me, nothing was missing.
I guess you would have preferred the airline did not turn around with the mechanical issue? Seems the safest choice was made. Their service as explained in Boston on the ground was unaccpetable, but your comment 'I feel that many other potential passengers considering flying with Air France will feel more aware of the serious deficiencies in Air France’s planning, organization, safety...' does seem a bit unfair as it seems to me AF took safety as it's main concern.

OH Get Real! She Hurt You! Please. Perhaps you were being rude to the Flight Attendant? I have been on so many flights where uppity passengers treat crew poorly if anything is wrong. I am sure the reason she didnt let you switch seats is one of two things, the way you asked, or the fact that the vacant seats were most probably in business class and you were most probably in coach, in which case she is correct to have said no. The ticket you buy is to get you from A to B, it does not say anything about TV screens. Why not call Delta, afterall, you were surprised that the flight was operated by Alitalia, is that not false advertising, perhaps you can sue!

Plain and Simple, this is your fault! Every airline tells you their minimum check in times, and for economy even within europe, it is at least 90 minutes before departure time if not 2 hours. You arrived at the check-in 55 minutes prior. You ruined your trip, not Aer Lingus.

Qantas is always rated as one of the world's best airlines. One customer's issue certainly will not stop me flying them. I have had nothing but exemplary service on Qantas!
'I will be letting everyone know what loser, punk criminals the Garden City Hampton employs, ' racist much! 'my husband is a lawyer and I am not stupid, ' and you say someone else is smug, hubbie is a lawyer, big whoop, in the USA that is about as impressive as working at McDonalds! 'My daughter and I tried to check our emails three times throughout the day and the same two fat cows were sitting there, planted in front of the computers as if they were homeless patrons sitting in a public library all day, ' when you write stuff like this do you really think anyone can take you serious. I repeat, racist much. I suppose you, your precious daughter, and that award winning lawyer you are married to are perfect size, shape, hair color, exactly what a hotel guest should look like. And what if you and precious were at the computers, and the two larger (I am assumming they are larger than you due to your insult about them earlier) arrived wanting to check their emails, would they have realised you were guests? You hate the feeling of being duped, well when I read your ridiculous tirade, it would seem to me you are probably duped frequently. Being so concerned about credit card theft, perhaps the clerk asked to see another form of I.D. to ensure you, the name on the card, and your picture I.D. matched. Perhaps you look questionable, and the clerk was doing his or her job to ensure it was not a stolen credit card you were trying to use. No, of course, not, I forgot, we have already established you are perfect, and your hubby is a Lawyer!

What the hell is it with Americans and suing? This is blatantly your own stupid fault! Get over it, suck it up, and accept responsibility for your own actions. I hope the courts charge you for wasting their time!
Did the price offer say it included parking? If not, why on earth would you expect parking to be included. Parking is almost never included, especially if the parking lot/garage is owned and/or operated by an outside company. Did the price say food included? Would you expect to dine in the restaurant and not pay? Travel Much?
Uhhh, hello, it's an Econolodge, the dried semen was probably an amenity!

A Disney Vacation in Orlando, and you are surprised by Lines? The most Family Touristy destination on the Planet, and you were surprised by a line. Get Real. You were out of there within an hour, that is Good! And if the agent took some time with you, it does not mean she did not know what she was doing, most likely she was ensuring everything with your booking was correct, or you were such a rude pain in the butt, that she just took her time, good on her!
Charming language. Educated Much? I think we would all be much happier if you did drive everywhere and smoked yourself to death, the sooner the better!
Who sold you this connection. I doubt sincerely that BA would even sell this tight a connection, but even if you did buy these tickets from BA, if the flight was delayed (this happens to all airlines not just BA) then the airline must rebook the passneger on the next available flight. Unfortunately your mum was flying to Sofia, so not exactly a destiantion with frequent flights, having two a day is already quite a surprise. I think BA performed well here. Of course, they did not delay the other flight to wait for your mum, and even if they had, her luggage would not have made it. Slots are too restricted at airports, and flights need to be closed on time or they lose their slot. As to dragging your pensionner parents, sorry, but you chose for her to travel. You could have travelled to her too you know. Sorry, but BA did what was required here. Delays happen, it is unfortunate, and I am sure they apologised for it, but this happens and usually not due to their fault.

Bradco and HotinVaus, 'a lttle racist?' for pointing out the fact that stressed or not, it is soooo typical for an American to pull the 'I Will Sue' card at every opportunity. Painful, I know, when you are faced with the reality of how absoultely stupid such a comment is, but there you are. Not racist people, just honest and sick of such stupidity!
That's good because there is no Quantas, It is QANTAS, no 'U' Anyway, unacceptable behaviour from them on this flight, but they are usually very good. Write a complaint to them, and I am sure they will try to compensate somehow!
Please! You are out of income because you are relocating to Ireland, and all this because your cat wasn't allowed to travel! Very hard to believe. If you are uprooting your life, moving, etc., one would expect that you would have all your paper work in order. Never, and I mean never trust an airline representative or a travel agent, most of them would be lucky to pin point Dublin on a map, let alone know or understand the rules regarding transport of a pet. You should of contacted the Irish consulate nearest you, or the Embassy in Washington, and printed any and all documents pertaining to the bringing in of pets. Then, with that in hand, you would have had the ammunition you need when boarding Delta.
