This is a very good idea. I did send an e-mail to that attorney, because I saw a posting by him on Squeakywheel.com when I put Royal Holiday into the search box, but he never responded. There are over thirty stories on the page if you go through that search box. It seems new ones are added almost each week now. I printed these and sent them with my fraud claim. You can also e-mail the authors from their page. I think taking action against the banks and travel agencies who work with this company is important too. There have to be some ethics guidelines in the travel and banking industries that would allow them to alert customers against signing contracts with a company that has so many unresolved BBB, PROFECO, e-comerce, credit card company, etc. complaints. Doesn't that make sense? I might not have seen an episode on Dateline, but if my travel agent had made me sign a paper saying I had been told of the risks of attending vacation package presentations and signing a contract in a foreign country before I went, I would NEVER had gone to the presentation. Anyway, thank you for organizing the action. I hope everyone sends the information and helps prevent others from this situation. I would be happy to some day hear they were put completely out of business and their CEO put in prison for fraud.
I noticed there are many more complaints if you put in Royal Holiday, instead of Royal Holiday Club in the search window above. This seems to be like an onion, you peel one layer and the mess just keeps having more and more layers, and your eyes keep crying. The heartbreak I hear through the words of the victims is simply criminal. I saw one story on a Squeaky Wheel page that must have been written by an immigrant to the U.S. who went on vacation to Mexico that made me feel worse for her situation than I do about mine. THIS has got to STOP!
I am going to do the things all of the people on these sites are telling me to. Thank you so much for putting your experiences out here so we can benefit from them. I have been reading everything I can find for scams, fraud, complaints with Royal Holiday and what an awakening. I believe I have a chance to get my mother's money back for her. She came home really happy about the program, and was telling me about it, so I just put in Royal Holiday complaints into Yahoo, and WOW! We have one day to document the filing. If all of you had not written about your being scammed, it would have taken months to discover the truth, then it would take about a year to get her deposit back. Anyway, from what I have read, it seems if you wait a few months it takes about a year. Keep up the fight!
I am a resident in Mexico, and hear hundreds of stories a year about companies and people like this. Visit the United States Department of State and read the warnings about doing business in Mexico. They have had thousands of complaints. The reason the Mexican economy is so bad is their business practices are bad. Could you imagine what San Diego would be like if it still was in Mexico, dah... TJ. Mexicans claim California, but thank God it is part of the United States of America, they would have ruined it too. Why are people thinking they can have a good life in a country where so many of their people are fleeing. They don't like Mexico either. I am going back to France as soon as I can.
