I booked a hotel in NYC through Prestigia.com. When I called the hotel prior to the date, just to be on the safe side. The hotel told me they do not have a reservation in my name. I then went on the Prestigia site, messing around, and accidentally pressed the cancel button. I called Prestigia immediately and got an answering machine, even though it was around 3 PM. I wrote an email immediately for them to correct the error, nonetheless, I got no response. The following morning, I called, and they refused to refund me or correct the error. This caused me to lose my $450. Please beware, they are tricksters...you may get a deal or you may lose your money. It is a "hit or miss" operation.

They still took \$450 from you on a detail they wouldn’t rectify, even after you caught the scam. That cancel button was probably built to imprison people just like you. No refund, no response, no hotel booking — money just disappeared. They don’t deserve a doubt and they deserve some heat. It’s true what you said, it’s a gamble with these people. You only win when you go through your bank.
