Premier Promotions is merely the Richmond, VA version of the same scams that are mentioned previously with alternative names, ie. Quantum, Rising Sun, etc, etc, BUT Premier has added a new twist--

Perhaps what they do is not EXACTLY illegal, but it sure borders on it, and can definitely be described as unethical and, in my opinion, immoral. They dangle the carrot of "having your own business in a few months", depending on how hard you are willing to work...

The place is a never ending turnstile of new and desperate (remember I just finished my first AND LAST day with them!)applicants who will be 'direct marketing' car wax, DARE, Directv, cosmetic products, etc..they need continuous flow of people because only about 1 in 10 is dumb enough not to see the writing on the wall ! After you go thru 2 hours of their rudimentary and sophomoric 'training", all the while being forced to stand without leaning on the walls, you are driven to the 'event'... to be on your feet for another 8 hours or more!

I am an old guy with MANY letters after my name and former owner of a few of my own business in the past. I have had some tuff money times and thought I could use all my experience to leap frog much of their protocol, but they treated me just like the high school drop out with whom I had to spend the whole day pushing Nascar wax and fixing windshield chips.

THAT is the NEW TWIST-- through Apple Auto Glass, in Texas, this group is now repairing chipped auto glass-- after seeing how it was done one time, I was supposedly trained! The polymer never cured on several repairs that my trainer did.

The morning chanting and such is like being in a cult or junior league type sports team..Loud music does not pump me up -- It is annoying!

The GOOD NEWS -- I only wasted about 1 and a half days-- AND I hope this gets out to all on the net to warn them of this piece of crap company!

thnx

Wow...Sounds real aggressive, racist, and hostile to work here. I'll tell you one thing after reading these messages, I would punch this Emory jerk right in the face as hard as I could the second I saw him. Shut his fat mouth for him.
Then I'd step on him, and wipe my dirty shoes on him on my way out.

I worked for this company when it first began in January 2008. The owner at the time was Francis "Frank" Quagliano, who moved here with his girlfriend Tess, and his dog. They also recruited to managers from Connecticut Peter, and Mike. I was quiet and I probably was one of the longest running employees there after a 3 month employment run. I met my quota so many times, but because I had to travel for school on Friday's and I made up my day on Saturday's, I wasn't able to move to the "next step" because I didn't put in a 6 day work week. I worked everyday from 8am until 7pm sometimes later. I was told that I also would be making no less than 300 a week. Yeah Most of my checks were 75 a week most I ever received was 250. While I was there I observed so many shady things. In the morning when we had to set up our bins for an event if were were short items in other bins, Frank would take "Donated" items and resell them. He wanted us to collect taxes on items that were sold 1 dollar for one item 2 dollars for 2 items purchased etc. Whenever the taxes were over for the amount of items sold (Which was always) he would pocket the difference. He would sometimes jump into the "training" session and lecture us on how sales need to be higher and that our careers would be better if we really learned how to take money out of people's pockets. There had been more than once when people stole each other sales etc. I was a believer at one point, but that quickly faded because I would observe many things that just didn't sound kosher. I would leave events early many times to go to other job interviews at the end, and because I realized I was actually scamming people out of their hard earned money. Our receipt books were stamped as "Premier Promotions: Professional Solicitors" When I applied for marketing & advertising jobs, I don't remember signing up to be a scam artist. I studied advertising in college, so I assumed I was being set up for success but in reality I was just scamming people out money.

It is so, so, so funny watching the girl who went to Baltimore brag about how much money she makes. She brags online and really, she is either flat out lying or she is stealing from people with this windshield scam in order to pay her bills. What a sick, twisted, pathetic [censor].

I worked for Frank for 2 whole weeks. I bought into the Atmosphere and the Attitude. I outsold everyone there in my first 2 weeks. We basically committed insurance fraud to fix chips in peoples windshields. I found out about Quantum and the whole scheme while I was there and I called them out on their [censor]. I was begged to stay because I was doing so well. I was promised to be an owner within 6 months. This is honestly the biggest brainwashing, law bending scam I've ever witnessed. When you get promoted to an owner or the upper levels you learn about the Atmosphere Room where you have to pump loud music and chant to keep anyone from "negging out" or voicing disapproval. They adopt slang like "JUICE" to make people feel like its a community. It's all to target the weak minded who are easily influenced and controlled. Needless to say my checks were short and Frank told me to [censor] off when I left. Anyone who is an owner and claims to be making any amount of money is just lying and waiting on the money someone above them promised to them when they started. Avoid at all costs. Visit any one of their "events" and heckle them until they leave.

Well, I have to say I was contacted by them this morning regarding a "position" in Richmond. After reading the comments from the "employees" that currently work there - I'm not sure I could handle a day of the grammatically incorrect speaking! It's bad enough that I have to read it - I couldn't imagine having to LISTEN to it!

I'll skip this opp as well.

I worked at Premier Promo for like 5 months. I was the high roller so many times I can't remember. I made quite a bit of money but I always felt bad about it because I was using D.A.R.E's name to improve my situation and it was really messed up. I think if Frank reads this he knows exactly who I am I'm sure because I made him lots of money. The smartest thing I did there is told him I was having relationship problems and took off work until I got my final check and then never talked to Frank, Pete, Tess or anyone else again. I saw Frank hold a guy named Jordan's paycheck just to do it becaue Jordan was leaving the Company. I saw Frank pull gifts out of donations that were suppose to go to Home Again Homeless Shelter and give them to his employees. He is by far the slimiest greeseball I have ever met and I really don't think I will ever come across such a person ever again. I really hope he gets everything that he deserves. As for anyone looking to work there I strongly suggest you make this your last possible option for employment becasue it really is the [censor] place I have ever worked for!

VoiceofReason - give us a dollar figure. If you are working 10/12 hour days out in the elements, be it selling items for "charity" or pretending to fix windshields, you better be making at least 70K, and you better have benefits. Since we all know that is NOT happening, for anyone - even the managers - then this job is a joke and should be treated as one.

GO TO BURGER KING - YOU WILL MAKE MORE $$ AND BE TREATED BETTER.

I agree that some people have had a bad experience with this company, they may be bitter and want to vent their frustration. The other side to that is there are many people working for the same Company and are doing quite well. It seems there have been many people promoted recently and are doing well enjoying the fruits of their 10/12 hour day labor. It seems to me that those that realize this to be an opportunity and not just a job prosper and move on inspite of the same conditions that others have presented as cruel and scammish. Next time listen and determine if you're looking for a job or trying to take advantage of an opportunity. Trust me there is a difference...

Thank you for posting this! After reading your post I cancelled my interview. I was worried about it being something I do not want to so I googled it and got this. This post saved me from wasting 3 hours tomorrow. Oh and for those people on here defending this place, I'm well educated with a Bachelor's degree, I owned a business for two years, and now I'm modeling. I'm looking for a full-time job just because the modeling is mostly on the weekends and in the evening but I'm still going to model on the side once I find the full-time job that is a fit for me. I'm not fat, lazy or anything else you called those people who were unhappy with their time at this place and I'm sure they aren't either. When you spend anywhere from $30, 000-90, 000+ on a college degree, the last place you want to be working is a place where you have to sell wax at a gas station or place place where you are getting paid minimum wage. Plus what you say you make in a week, I make in one modeling gig. This job might be the right place for you cause you can't get anything else but the people who do have college degrees and the job didn't work out for them can get a better job and yes times are tough write now but being unemployed is better than working at a place where you won't ever advance.

no you dnt get to keep the money, they give you no money for road trips. they give you the wax to sell for the hotel room, if you dnt sell any then you sleep in ur car. for food u have to spend ur own money. the girl in b moore is lying no one in the biz( if u dnt have ur own office) makes any money really on a averge check u may bring home about to something for them 76 hours u work. u can make more money at mcdonalds. its all lies. then they threatin u with ur job if u dnt do what they tell u to do. if u are tired u cant sit and [censor] like that. if you dnt make frank any money for that day, then u are fired. then i just wish someone from the va work force would go up there and work there for a week to see how sexually inappropiate frank is to his employees. he cusses them out call them nasty names, tell u to get the [censor] outta his office and everything..no the managers dnt keep the money, they do get paid off of everything that u do though.

So what happens when you guys go on "business trips" then? Who pays for it? And do the "managers" keep all the money from the people they oversee? BC that girl who works in Baltimore now sure does brag that she has a lot of money from this job. I assume she is just lying to deal with being broke and brainwashed.

Ha Ha I'll tell you how he opens all these offices, (1) tax Frank charges crazy tax Va tax is 5% of the dollar but how is it a 10 dollar can of wax is 11 bucks? or some people in the office charges 16 a can. Really? okay And heres a wammy for all our soldiers okay they charge 2 cans of wax for 27 bucks when out at some gas station its two cans of wax and a pack of rags for 25 plus tax which is 26 bucks. or 27 depending how short the person you buying the wax from with earlier sales. Some employees charge two cans of wax for straight 26 bucks which at the end of it with no Micro fibers is really 21 bucks they pocket 5 bucks. Also you ALWAYS see FW1 at arab owned stores like shell, east coast, race way, fas mart & etc. No corporate Stations will allow them to stand in the way of GOOD customers. So if you see FW1 find a Corporate number and call them in I BET CORPORATE WILL CALL AND MAKE THEM LEAVE. trust me i know they lost raceway tappahanock, east parham shell, and texaco peterburg. GOOD LUCK FRANCIS QUAGLIANO. Oh PS check his business licences next time. (2) Chipio, if chipio really knew who these guys are hiring, Wow that whole place would be shut down, and it a bruch of avon product in the back how many ways are you really trying to take money from people. (3) Oh heres a good one, now the can have different prices right. now say if i do sell the wax for the lowest price which is 10 bucks so now i sell a case for 120 right, plus tax which is .05% thats 126.00 lol here a funny part here thats 12 peices you sold at .30% commission which will be 36 bucks you mase. NOPE frank counts is as a (CASE) 10 pieces which will be 100 bucks and you get 30 bucks out of that and he pockets 21 bucks. Frank only pays a dollar to 3 buck per can he orders them by the pallet so we make 30% commission and he spent 3 so thats 6 bucks theres 4 more bucks left who know what he does with it because i seen thier bills not that much. so who ever needs or what this info use it i know im about to ask me for futher details

mad [censor] employee - are you saying that at first you commented positively about Premier Promotions on page 1 of this thread, and now you are admitting that they are liars and thieves? Please go into a LOT more detail. How does the operation continue to run? How is it that every once in a while some [censored] can go "open their own company" in a city like Baltimore? How can they keep their doors open at all if people are not making any money?

This company is FULL of scammers! They came to my job and told me i needed a new windshield, then said they would come fix/replace it during my lunch break. They NEVER showed, changed all the phone numbers written on the invoice and refused to return my calls when I asked when my car would be repaired. Whats worse is that even tho they did no work at all they still tried to get money from my insurance company, which they would have recieved if I hadnt called and had my adjuster try to call. She also called the business several times with no response. I have called the Better Business Bureau and would recomment everyone stay far far away.

None of you are actually answering the question as to how much you actually make a year, AFTER taxes. If it is less than 50K, and you are outside all day, 6 days a week, for 10-12 hours a day, then you are a complete idiot. Managers of fast food places start at 38K and work less and get insurance.

How dumb can you all possibly be?

Oh wow. This is so sad. Someone should mail this page to the office so that everyone who works there can see this and finally understand what a scam this sham of a company really is. I mean, look at the comments above; honestly, how brainwashed these people are is just SO SAD. I mean, how many missed paychecks will these people have to endure before they realize that they are working, and I use that term loosely, for con-artists? And EVERY one of these terrible people just cons the next person, over and over, one person after another, and just sinks further and further into the gutter. Well, they are trash - and trash belongs in the gutter, so...

Sad. Very, very sad.

Why can't you folks working there spell correctly or use proper grammatical sentence structure?

$350 a week, if you work all 52 weeks in a year, leaves you with $18, 200 as an annual salary. That is before taxes. You don't get health insurance, and the "company" you work for doesn't pay for your gas or mileage. You are here, on an internet messageboard, claiming that your are PROUD of working 12 hour days for 6 days a week to make minimum wage. Can't you see how sad and pathetic you sound? You poor, uneducated, lonely and brainwashed little people...

What happened to the fat short girl who "opened up her own office" in Maryland? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
