We been using Poppins for over 2 years to pay our nanny and absolutely love it. We are actually in a nanny share so it's even more convenient cause both families use it and we can all easily, quickly, and properly account for her payroll from 2 households. I highly recommend using Poppins over other options on the market (not to mention that Poppins is the least expensive for any type of self-employment payroll and tax service). They have responsive and excellent customer service when you need it too.

I can't stress enough how helpful Poppins was in managing pay for an in-home nanny. When we tried to figure out how to handle payroll tax withholding on our own, we got overwhelmed by the complexity. Poppins took care of all that and made it simple and effortless to make weekly payments and generate tax documents. The interface was easy to use, especially when accounting for overtime hours. I would gladly recommend Poppins to anyone who wants to pay a childcare provider directly.

They've really thought of everything and make the payroll process as low-maintenance as possible. After talking with our friends who tried to do all the paperwork and filings themselves, we are confident that we made the right decision to use this service and that it was worth every penny.

They're really nice in their emails. They won't send an invoice before taking money from your bank account. Not getting an invoice for the full amount of money that's gonna be taken from your bank account is a good way to get hit with NSF charges when, like me, you have a separate account with money just for paying your nanny. It's 2022. Sending an invoice to a client is a basic thing any accounting or bookkeeping software should do. This is a payroll company that can't send an invoice. Look for another option.

I did a lot of research comparing different payroll services for our senior-care employee before choosing Poppins Payroll. We've had a great experience with them. They answer our questions quickly and nicely, pay taxes on time, the website is easy to use, and the email reminders before each payroll are helpful. The pricing is also cheaper and clearer than other services. We recently let go of our employee, and the termination process went well too. I highly recommend Poppins Payroll, and if we hire someone similar in the future, I'll definitely use their service again.

Amazing service. Used them to pay a nanny, and using them made the entire process easy and painless. Never had to worry about compliance with taxes, employee was paid via direct deposit on time every pay period, and the amount of time I had to spend on it was minuscule. Plus the customer service is tops. For the price, this is the best service. Clean easy to navigate website too.

This is a no-brainer for anyone that has a nanny. They simplified our payroll and helped us navigate everything - creating our EIN with the government, paying all the appropriate taxes, all the end of year documents needed for the employee - and it was so incredibly simple. We used the service for two years and never had an issue. I had to call customer service once to ask a question, and I got to talk to a real person after a short 1 minute wait.
