I tried multiple times on Sunday to purchase a product and the final step of the checkout process would hangup when I would submit my order. No error or message would come up, it would just spin and not load to the next page. At 10:48 that night I was telling my fiance about it and went to show her the product when I realized it was the last day of the sale so I made another attempt at which point the item was coming back out of stock.
I had looked up the hours of operation and called when they opened the next morning. The store said they had 3 in stock but they could not validate the sale price even after hearing my issues but told me to call customer service as they could usually help.
Customer service told me that they would contact the store and see if they could do anything. Had the item not been out of stock online that they would be able to submit an order for me and adjust the price.
The store was not able or willing to help and because the item was out of stock online, customer service said they couldn't help me.
The next day the item was back in stock so I called customer service again. This time I was giving new information, customer service said they could not adjust the price through online purchases to honor the sale price.
The two lost frustrating parts is that speaking to 2 reps on the first day, both told me had the item been in stock that they could have adjusted the price of an order. The second frustrating part, that I think is the worst, is that the item was not out of stock in the location that I had set my order to be picked up at when trying to purchase while the sale was active. The store has 3 item and I was looking to purchase one and pickup at the location. So it wasn't out of stock when I tried to purchase it the last time even though the site was showing it was.
Really poor online/ecommerce experience and customer service experience. I've never had such a frustrating overall experience dealing with purchasing a product and feel very disheartening and under valued as a customer.
Claimed loss: Hours overall through attempting multiple orders and through the 4 called that I had being run around being told different information.
Desired outcome: Purchase the item I should have been able to purchase at the sale price that was offered at the time
