Invested $5,000 with Parkwood Group on 9/24/20. Contract stated that funds would purchase sports cards which would be resold by Parkwood with $5,000 money back guarantee. Many terms of the contract were not met by Parkwood Group. I have requested my money returned many times. The owner and the director of Parkwood Group have stated to me many times over the last two years that the $5,000 is being returned to me by check and by wire, but each time they have lied and I still haven't received my funds.
Claimed loss: $5,000 guaranteed return + additional costs of $2,000 incurred so far to enforce the contract and have my money returned.
Desired outcome: $5,000 plus additional costs plus the profits they claim to have made on the sale of the cards.

In early 2023, I invested in sports trading cards with Parkwood Investments via Scott Alan Haley.
After various reasons as to why he couldn't transfer my profit, I decided to enlist the help of John L. Bausch.
Two weeks ago, I was told by John, that he sent a untraceable check for 105k. I have kept him informed of not receiving the check, so yesterday he "canceled" the check and was going to wire the 105k. When I inquired about the wire several times yesterday he did not respond.

They promised me a return of upwards of $20k by January 30, 2022. I trusted them as a reputable company but later found out that the card they showed me pictures of was sold by an auction house for $91,200. They made excuses and said it wasn't the exact card I invested in. I have been trying to get my investment back since January but they keep delaying and making excuses. They haven't paid me anything yet. In August, they promised me $12,000 plus a $500 "Wait fee" but I still haven't received anything. I have no choice but to take legal action against them and their business associate to get my money back.
