Adverts appearing on Radio Times pages
I regularly see pop up ads on my Radio Times programme listing's which are obviously scams. The latest one, seen today 11th December 2024 at 11:30am, is allegedly about Martin Lewis endorsing Bitcoin (Martin of course is adamant that he never endorses any product or service).
There seems to be no way to report the scam back to Outbrain, who put forward the ad
Desired outcome: I want Outbrain to monitor the ads it puts forward and root put the scams! Is that asking too much?

Outbrain's Ad Overload: Annoying but Inevitable Price for Free Internet
Outbrain be like a pain in da [censored] wit all da same ole ads poppin up on my fave websites. Like, I get it, you wanna make some cheddar, but dang, give me a break sometimes. I gotta log off and then back on just to get a fresh start. It's kinda annoying, but I guess that's the price you gotta pay for some free internet action.
Outbrain Review: Disappointing User Experience and Complicated Campaign Creation
Outbrain is a website that I've tried using to create campaigns, but boy was I disappointed. I've tried using Twitter, Google, and Facebook before, but Outbrain's interface is just the worst. The user experience is definitely not up to par with the big names out there. Trying to navigate the site is like trying to find your way through a maze without a map.
The worst part is, even if you manage to figure out where you need to go, the process of creating a campaign is more complicated than it needs to be. There are so many steps that you need to take, and each step seems to have some strange quirk or issue that doesn't make sense. You'll find yourself getting frustrated and confused at every turn.
Honestly, I don't understand why anyone would choose to use Outbrain when there are so many other options out there with better interfaces and easier-to-use tools. It's a real shame that Outbrain hasn't invested more in UX, because the potential is definitely there. Maybe one day they'll get their act together and make something that's actually usable. Until then, I'll be sticking with the big dogs.

Outbrain's service is pure trash: A review of their customer experience
Outbrain is one of dem companies dat be in dis competitive market, but dey ain't seem to care 'bout servin' deir customers right. Da service dey provide, it's trash. I wouldn't even tink twice 'bout doin' any business wit Outbrain. Da quality of deir service be dat awful.
Mixed results using outbrain.com for blog promotion; Poor support experience
ok, so I tried using outbrain.com to promote my blog and I gotta say, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Like, I set up my campaign and everything was going fine until I ran into this issue and had to contact their support. And let me tell you, that was a whole ordeal in and of itself. I had to wait 4 whole days just to get a response, and when I finally got one, it was like pulling teeth to get any real help out of them.
Like, don't get me wrong, I appreciate that they were trying to help, but the response I got was super vague and honestly didn't really address my problem at all. It was like they weren't even reading my emails or something. Plus, some of the stuff they were suggesting was just not possible, like changing the tracking pixel on my site. I'm not a tech wizard or anything, but even I know that's not something you can just switch up out of nowhere without causing a ton of issues.
Anyway, long story short, I eventually figured out my problem on my own and got my campaign up and running again. But man, it was a frustrating experience. I feel like they could really do better in terms of their support and communication with customers. Like, maybe they should hire some more people or something? I don't know. All I know is that I won't be using outbrain.com again anytime soon, that's for sure.
Outbrain Review: Overpriced and Disappointing
My friend was telling me about this company called Outbrain the other day, and since I was looking to increase traffic to my website, I decided to check them out. Let me tell you, it was quite an experience.
First of all, I have to say that they completely overcharged me. I mean, seriously? I understand that companies need to make money, but I think they took it a little too far. And what's worse, they charged me way more per click than what I had originally ordered.
I know I should have been more careful, but I guess I was just too excited about the possibility of getting more traffic to my site. But now I know - if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
So if you're thinking about working with Outbrain, I highly recommend being very, very careful. Do your research, ask questions, and don't be afraid to push back if something doesn't seem right. And most importantly, be prepared to work with them at your own risk.
Overall, I think Outbrain has potential, but they definitely need to work on their pricing model. If they can figure that out, I think they could be a great resource for small business owners like myself. But for now, I'm going to be sticking with other companies that are a little more transparent and upfront about their pricing.
